Yes and yes, I do play NL50 but I am in TwiceTs appartement atm on a laptop which isnt mine and i have some time to kill, so I decided to play some eazy games on NL5 instead and since there is only a touchpad i felt rush was the best alternative

I wanna stay awake until 4 or smt because I have a 12h traintrip ahead of me tomorrow so i wanna be so tired i cant keep my eyes open and just sleep away at least half of my journey.

However, for the rest, I might update tonight (unless I get to tired) about Vienna, lots of great stuff happened! I am however leaving to Utrecht tomorow as i have gotten tired of traveling around by now and just feel like going back to some kind of routined daily life so I will return to dustjes place and stay there until 14th of aug which is when I go back to Sweden again.

I stayed up all night instead, in hope that I will be able to sleep at least 7 hours or something in the train which should make the trip doable.

I mean I still got some hours left before I finnish the poke mindset, and if I finnish it I will just start re-reading it. No words can truly describe how plusEV this book is for your mindset. So many words and facts in there just hit me right in the face and I realize how many flaws I sometimes have in my mindset still.

Its also quite motivating, because it reminds me that thee is still so much to be learned, and so much to improve. How boring wouldnt it be otherwise?

I cant wait to get this trip back to Holland over with. Just relax for a couple of days and recover from this exhausting but awesome trip and get back into business! Making money, learning, playing poker and invest for the future.

Anyways gotta go get ready now, wanna leave here in a while to the trainstation. Then the looong 12 hour trip begins. I wish myself many nice dreams and comfortable sleep. I do have a blanket which me which should increase the cozyness factor a bit.

hahah, yea. I just woke up, because I spent the whole night playing MTT's.

And I did indeed ship myself some moniez again, I ended up like 7th in a $10+1 MTT on FTP for $588.

The way I busted was a typical spot where you are 100% sure you're gonna double up and be 2nd in chips, since you have 93% equity or something on flop where you shoved A9 vs the chipleader with 10bb and got called by A8, and even then you hit your 9 on the flop.

But then, the chipleader running running onecardflushes you, and you're out instead of being 2nd in chips. But honestly, it was imo a test of mindset, because the human mind automaticly goes into selective memory here, and thinks only of the badbeats he has recieved and the money he could have won.

I was a bit disappointed/pissed for a like 30 seconds (and Its okay Imo, there was like 2,5k$ up for grabs for first place, 1,7k$ for second place etc) so It's really hard NOT to let it affect you.

But then, I just calmed down very quickly and thought about all the badbeats I had given on my way to the final table and on the final table. I came back from 4bb with like 30 ppl left to go so that I even ended up on the FT was a matter of using my edge as best as I could and being lucky.

I mean, I won lots and lots of flips, and I even gave a sick badbeat on the finaltable where I had to reship JJ vs a shortstackshove (me not being very bigstacked myself) and I ran into QQ, but I hit quads by the river.

So basically I shouldnt be upset by the money i COULD have won, but be very very glad about the money that I did win.

I mean wth, its a nice year for me. My tournament winnings are now up at $3,6k so far and that is pretty fucking awesome!

I love my life.

Half year update!

Ye, thats right. I rememberd today as I was thinking, that I set myself some goals at the beginning of this year, and that it might be a good idea to have a look at how im doing and perhaps change the goals or set new goals.

These are all the goals that I set formyself, including things I wanted to do.

• Be playing on NL100 FR or NL50 SH. DONE!
• Have a steady bankroll to be playing on NL100 FR: 4000$ Progress!
• Release the 600$ first deposit bonus at Pokerstars Fail!
• Put aside 50$ per month into a "funpot" Fail! (But I did cash out $2k+)
• Release as much extra money possible with the VIP stellar awards at Pokerstars Fail!
• Get better at studying articles, watching videos and reading books Progress!
• Play more sweatsessions Progress!
• Make monthly summary-posts in my blog Fail!
• Make new part goals along the road Fail!
• Stop looking at my cashier after each session! DONE!

Partgoals:

• 2000$ bankroll DONE!
• 3000$ bankroll Progress
• 4000$ bankroll Progress

So, since I stopped playing at pokerstars some goals completely failed. But thats just irrelevant goals anyway. I made a whole lot of progress in 2010, I mean not only did I cash around $3,6k in tournaments so far, I also developed alot as a pokerplayer, which is by far the most important.

So, I am actually to tired to set up any new goals right now, I will think of some in the next couple of days, and update when its done.

Goals update!

Since I gain motivation of having some kind of goal, I will set myself some goals. I will try to get goals that won't affect me or my mindset much, and I won't really care about chasing the goals like a maniac, I trust myself to know when to quit or not.

Short term:

[ ] Earn 5k FTP's.
[ ] Clear my bonus on PartyPoker ($100)
[ ] Finnish reading The Poker Mindset
[ ] Read treat your poker as a business
[ ] Post 5 hands
[ ] Play 2 sweatsessions
[ ] After 10k hands, get new coaching

That will be all I can think of for now, I guess my deadline for some of the goals will be mid september when my bonus expires on Party. The goals are kind of low set, but that's the thing. I don't wanna set to high goals that will affect me. These goals are perfectly achievable and not very harmful imo.

Craaazy session!

Normally I don't bother to post about session but this one in particular was really interesting! I want to put in some SH volume and since I found some fishy tables yesterday I decided to go tablehunting today aswell.

I found lots of tables, and I ended up 4tabling to be the most focused and play as well as I could. Boy was that a good decision!

My focus was on one table in particular, where I found myself OOP against a 90(vpip)/57(pfr)/48(3bet) fish, and on his left, a 71/21/2 fish. The rest of the table didn't really get involved much, I was mostly the one getting into pots with them.

So what this meant, was that I got min3bet or 3bet very often by the player on my left, whilst the player on his left called basically almost all the 3bets. The first couple of times I was like hmm wtf? Stop harrassing me
But then i figured hey, what can I do about it?

What I did was, I first started to 4betshove hands because they both folded and there was tons of dead money in the pot. I got myself 30bb+ that way, until I got it in vs the player on my left who eventually got tired of me shoving over his 3bets and he called me with A3s vs my QQ and ofc outhit me.

So I thought to myself, oh. Let's have a short break to come back with full strengt and steal back all those money; because there is now 260bb up for grabs just by him. Said and done, I took a short break and sat down at the tables again.

What I did now, was to limp/call all my mediumstrong hands like QTs+ and KJ+ etc, because there would always be a raise behind me anyways. I still raised my strongest range, so like AJ+ and 99+. This turned out to be very profitable I must say. None of the regs at the table seemed to adjust at all, they stayed out of the way lol. ♦

I also started noticing the blufftendencys of the player on my left, so I started checking over to him, abusing being OOP because he would bluff often when checked to. He bluffed a bit to much in general anyway.

Anyway the story is getting very long, I just wanted to write down some thoughts on the session as I enjoyed it very very much. It was a challange finding ways to adapt to their play and not get scared or unfocused and make mistakes.

I must admit I ran pretty good, but it was not that I got happy about the money I won, in fact I havent even checked my results because it just wasn't about the money. It was so thrilling to stay focused, find ways to outplay them and just being consious about that you adjust your play to other players and that it's succeeding.

It's a small step forward in my development as a pokerplayer imo. More sessions like this imo! ♦

After the Q9s hand the superfish left and so did I. I wasn't focused enough anymore to play on, so I decided to stop before I ruined everything. There were still plenty of fish, but without being focused enough I'll just end up costing myself money.

I personally don't like the K6 pre-flop. You are rarely going to flop a good hand and when you do the chances of someone else hitting a worse made hand is unlikely. Also if the BB is aggressive he can come over the top (no idea whether he is or not didn't read much) and it makes it more akward because then you have to call again.

I am not asking for advice on the hands, you werent at the table so you cant possible know. No offense though, it's far from optimal but on this table it's not neccessarily a bad thing.

Just a few quick things toby, need to get it out of my head:

1) I dont like the idea of you posting comments on my hands not having read pretty much anything of the history about the hand. It's not only a waste of my time to not do it to 100% but also a waste of your own time.

2) It slightly irritates me that you would either accept the fact that K6 is a part of my normal range there (aka underestimate/"insult" me) or

3) Not stop to consider the fact that is indeed NOT a standard play of mine. Which should to be honest be kind of obvious.

Quick and simple: If you're not gonna bother to keep al factors in mind (and I mean all) then please don't comment. No hard feelings though.

All I was trying to do was help you because most players think winning a hand means you played well. I never suggested it was part of your normal range nor did I assume it.

I read the text after I posted and you mentioned you limp/called medium strong hands like QT or KJ but I don't really see K6 as a medium strong hand. Maybe you could explain why you did it rather that lashing out me when I am trying to help? I just don't see how a off suit weak king can be profitable in a limped pot oop regardless of the table dynamics.

I am not trying to insult or underestimate you as you are a far better player than me. In the future I will not bother reading/posting.

something tells me you'd do very well playing live cash games. Players such as the 2 you mentioned are common place and adjusting hand ranges to get the most out of them is how such big winrates can be made
