a 12bb/100 winner will be more likely to break even or smt whilst a 4bb/100 player will be more likely to be loosing during the so called "downswing. One who puts in more volume will also be more likely to swing more in a shorter period of time due to the volume, but also get out of the downswing faster.
But since it's all a long session like TT says anyways it doesnt really matter.
Great post about variance. And imo and experience: takinging slightly +EV plays rise your variance short-term in terms of bi, but your breakeven stretches gets smaller. Taking as many +EV spots as possible should reduce your chance of finishing negative for the week. Dont know if i made myself clear.

TT, thank you for your great sharing, and everyone else's inputs who are of great value too.
moral of story: continue to improve and play. right?
It sounds soooooooo easy when one puts it this way ♦
But yea, great post about EV. What I found myself is that before I was kind of a slave to ev - when I was running below I would be like "ooh great, now I'm going to suck on them sooo much" and when above I would just wait for the downer to come as I was simply "running too good".
Well, guess what, it doesn't matter ^^ For people with weak mindset, the easiest solution is to simply not look at your EV. If you don't know the EV then there is no way it can affect you - easy, right?
Ofc people with strong mindset wouldn't care about it anyway - every hand is for itself and all we can do is play it to the best of our ability ^^
@battlehunter, at the end of the day, i don't think the EV that affects our mindset but rather the fact that $$$ that keeps going down.
i mean we all know what to do. but to actually hear it coming from people you look up to, gives you more faith in what you are doing. maybe i'm just weak but at least i dont donkey them away at the tables
