It's really good.......... if you're interested in game theory! :f_biggrin:

Interested in the theory itself - no.

Interested in learning it to imrpove my game - yes.

Although I'm not sure a book will help, I struggeled to get through any mathbooks in school and my teachers had a hard time with me too

To learn it I need someone to work with me I think, to give me examples and let me try to calculate it on my own (I only learn by doing really) and to... well, give me different ways to think and help me understand and correct me. :f_frown:

Woah. I was thinking about going to bed since I need to get up at 4:30 but I just can't help but getting... into thinking mode.

For those interested my internship at a mental hospital starts tomorrow. I will have 2-4 hours of travel daily and a 9-10 hour shift, so needless to say I won't have any energy left over for any A-gaming.

I'm not really sure about how I will react to it though to be honest. I mean, atm I feel like... excited/worried/scared and everything at once.

Basically noone there is admitted from free will, they have all been admitted by force for their own good. I had to give them my social security number in advance, and will only be let in after showing ID etc, so it's a quite guarded departement. My tutor or whatever to call her (the woman who will be guiding/teaching me) told me they have a woman in lockdown. She is always guarded by 2 male workers and is only allowed to take a walk once a day within the fences of the yard, and is guarded by 3 male workers during that walk.

I don't really know what to expect, nor do I know how I will react to it. I do know one thing, the shifts allone and the traveling time will make me damn exhausted. Hopefully though, it will be a oppertunity for me to really challange myself and get stronger. Having to deal with something like this is something that not many people get to do in their lives and is something that is very challanging and demanding imo.

It will take alot of mental strengt, and I definitely see it as a oppertunity to grow. I mean the worst that can happen is that I fail, and that's not really bothering. All I can do is my best =) The challange will be to find ways for myself to not fail. To deal with whatever issues or feelings this brings up for me. So yea. Excited, scared, worried. But in a good way.

=) Wish me luck!

I am happy to help you with basic poker maths but I don't know enough advanced poker maths to help you there

Basic math is good for starters!

Small update: Played some MTTs/MTTsng's today on my day off.

I had 2 cashes, 2 final tables.

I got to heads up with another swedish (unknown to me) player in the 12$ KO MTTsng and we were equal in skill with crappy stacksizes and almost equal stacksizes, so we decided to do a deal. I got 225$ or something from the deal, which is nice since I also won some KO money and the 2nd place payed 177 or something and first 288.

I also won the 6$ MTTsng for 144 dollars + bountys (have no idea how many tho). So in all, the day is up in the green with like... 360-370$ !

Pretty nice considering I only played 7. :) Happy bunny! TwiceT calls me MTT-princess hihih :f_love:

Peace out!

xx vonki

If you prepare some hand histories which you think have some maths behind them then we can create a conference call at a convenient time to discuss them and also talk about some other concepts which you want help with

Just played a 50 mins NL5 Rush sessions

Reasons are a few:

- I had some time to spare but wasnt able to play A-Game on NL50
- Wanted to practise my adaptingability (adapting to NL5 players & rush)
- Needed to gain some experience of NL5 since I coach a student on the limit
- To practise tilt control (more hands/h more setups/h)

Results: People do not fold to cbets or 3bets very much, bluff alot and are just a pain in the ass!

I had a moment where I was like "god damn morrons stop check raising me on paired dry boards! Im gonna shove in your face mohah." Obv he folded and I felt better, but still I should have been able to control my emotions imo. Proves there are things to be worked on :P

Mby it's just the fact that 5$ seems like nothing to me. I wouldnt do it on NL50 just like that haha.

All in all I felt I adapted quite well and the session obv ended up (which isnt really relevant).

Did find myself in a BU vs SB vs BB spot where I had KK vs a BU open, a SB 3bet and me coldcalling the 3b and BU 4betting. I was thinking about folding because it felt quite obvious one of them had to have AA but then again I had no idea about their precise ranges and It's not like I'll ever fold KK pre on NL5 (even tho I was 180bb deep). He did have AA though obv.

Good experience imo and I'll probably do it again sometime. It's a decent choice when I'm not able to play Agame on my current reason for whatever reason.

hahah, guess what I just found!

"pokerstars womans league" xD It's some daily MTT that runs with a leaderboard or smt but since I was gonna play some MTT's anyway I just couldnt resist registering

It's only a 5€ BI anyway but why not? The 200$ PCA qualifiers I played were as soft as anything aswell.

Ill let you know later on how it goes but I already doubled my stack :f_cool:

Good luck in the MTT! I was wondering if you charge for coaching or if your just doing it for the experience and how you find it?

Just curious.

thanks =)

No, I don't charge anything for it (but we have agreed some drinks are on him if we ever meet :f_biggrin: )

I had alot of help when I started out on the lower limits (and still do) from more experienced players and I knew how much that did for my improvement and understanding of the game. Ive always been a caring and kind person so I don't mind helping out someone else. I live by the "do to others would they would do for you"-lifestyle and I enjoy helping others gaining success =) It's a great feeling really.

I do however put some "pressure" on him that he has to do certain things and keep me updated, stay active etc and always improve improve improve and if he doesn't I won't coach him anymore since my time is quite precious and I dont wanna waste it

if that didnt saticefy your curiousity then go ahead and ask more =)

Well that's very cool of you, I might steal your idea someday :P I'm guessing even us NL50 players can help NL5-10 players a lot.

You shipped the MTT yet?

How about some of you NL50+ make a propbet: Who can bring a NL5 player to NL25 or something the fastest? I think that would really help out both you and micros players... Sure, variance will have big influence but it's mostly for the experience of it. Ofc, if you choose NL10 as the starting point I apply for one of the student's positions :f_biggrin:. It's just a thought that ran through my mind. :) It's nice you're helping out someone at NL5 vonki. Keep up the good work!

hehe, well I just wanna give to someone what was given to me :)

And its not a bad idea about the propbet although it would be hard to come up with a reasonable bet :P And as for me I already have 1 student which is enough for me atm so =)

Anyways! I didnt win the other MTT but I also found a 15£ sub-sat to the 109£ qualifier for EPT Ladies Luxury event and...

well I shipped it, so saturday I will be playing for one of those 1500£ packages! Gooogoooo! hihihi.
