nice posts and gl with ur chalenge ^_^ i'm a newbie at poker 2 even dough i've been playn it for like 2 3years passionatly ; started my own chalenge to get to 100 $ from no money of my own ♦, tkx to startig capital from PS :X...had a rly bad week where i lost mostly of the capital like i got from 50$ to 2.3$ :">....recovered fast before i lost eveything now I'm bout 30$ even dough had before 42 lost 12 in 2 hands i had2 pairs or 3 of a kind and other players all-ined me with one club in hand and 3 down and river got 1 :-<...y i know bad judgement should of predicted colour :-j anywho will try to follow ur posts as much as I can and wish you luck as to myself:P and hopefuly we'll achive our goals ♦....take care ^_^

What limits do U play???

I have my BR $112 at the moment, and I actually set myself a goal that I don't want get under $100, so - even I have enough BR to play $2 SNGs, I will play a bit $1 SNGs more to gain my BR at least $130 till start $2, BECAUSE - this variance is just f_king annoying sometimes, that I better stay at quite beatable and confident limit.

I did this just because when I reached $130 and started $2 SNGs, I lost 8 tables, just that: QQ vs 68off (hit trip 8s), AQ vs A6, of course 6 on the river, today even one guy called my AA raise 200 chips (20/40 level with 2 limpers) with 2 7s (!) and I went broke on flop because of 2 hearts, so turn and river brought another 2 hearts, and he shoved 2 7 of hearts. ♦

So I advise U what U already now, climb down in limits: if ur playing $6 then $2 would be grat idea. Though I don't know what ur playing most... SNGs or CASH???

Actually I had some beat when I deposited my $50 in June, I went down to $0 (in a month), and when I received my $1.30 rake, I played 4 daily dollar satellites (each $0,30), and got 4 tournament dollars and turned them to real money, and after 2 weeks, I reached $90, and next week lost about $20, so variance is just....pfffff..., U know what I mean.

i still have a decent bankroll and i will still follow my brm but im just done. i know onepark will understand.

im just going to have fun playing.

the losses, bad beats, unlucky flops bother me because i feel like just when im up it all gets crumbled.

now, without the challenge, they wont bug me as much.

as long as i follow brm and never have to reload i feel like im okay.

i just cant do it.

i am still playing and still trying to win!

hopefully i can get there someday... i just need a different focus... that, and i need to learn to stop chasing losses.

believe it or not, but i felt a lot of pressure! Self imposed, but pressure nonetheless... this whole experience was not a waste. I learned that BRM keeps you playing without reloading and that I can be a winning player when i decide to be consistent.

carl the dean sampson tried this too, and while he is having success, for a LONG while he didn't (not to his standards), and when you read his blog about the challenge you really felt for the guy because (I think) he could not believe how hard it actually was to do.

I see people on the forums all the time who manage to do it, so i guess i have a lot to learn. I need some success so i think my new goal is quite attainable. Maybe after that, who knows. But again, this whole thing isn't really about poker, it is about overcoming myself.

Dude... What sucks is that since you play regular SNG, you put all this time into it, only to have it end on a sour note. I play the super turbos so at least I'm investing 10 minutes, not 30.
