BTN is 15/11/4% 3bet / 6% 3bet from LP / WTSD 17 / Aggresion F 4/7/2 / winning player 5BB/100 over 2k hands
UTG2 is 22/10/2% 3bet/ 6% 4bet / WTSD 20 / Aggresion 2/3/3 winning player as well 4BB/100 over 4k hands
Preflop - UTG limped so I standardly punished him with raise. The 3-bet behind me is not pleasant but can´t be over-valued as the BTN looks like reg who can 3-bet light such spot (3betting other reg who is punishing limper). Now UTG calls and I get very good odds to call given that we are quite deep and it is 3-way.
Flop could hardly be better for me and BTN C-bets and UTG raises which looks excellent. My first thought is to call to represent QQ-KK and get both their stacks ♠_cool: Then I started to think about it and realized that UTG has quite wide 22% VPIP preflop and he limp/called pre and then check/raised the flop. I started to put him either on (i) suited connectors having OESD+pair, (ii) AA (though he would have probably 4bet them) or (iii) set. I think BTN will get out of the hand regardless of my action.
I further realized that BTN is a good reg and if I call here, he will turbo fold his JJ-KK anyway (if he has it) cause my line is evident slowplay. So I suddenly started to focus on UTG2 and realized there is nothing to wait for. I want to protect against OESD and if he has a set, then the chips are in anyway. So I shoved.
Thinking back about the hand (they did not pay me off), I´m now in doubt whether my assumptions and play were correct?
