First hand of the HU SNG.

Poor guy... I feel kind of bad for him. Bad luck!

He had a jack.

Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

Play hand

$15/$30 No-Limit Hold'em (2 handed)

Known players:
[tg]BB (Hero)$1500.00:///////;SB$1500.00:///////;[/tg]

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9:d, 5:h.
SB calls $15.00, Hero raises to $90.00, SB calls $60.00.

Flop: ($180) 9:h, 5:s, J:d (2 players)
Hero bets $180.00, SB raises to $360.00, Hero raises to $1,410.00, SB calls $1,050.00(All-In).

Turn: ($3000) 6:c (2 players)

River: ($3000) 8:d (2 players)

Final Pot: $3000.

I won with two pair, he had a pair of jacks.

Too funny!

No, I did not accept a rematch!

Why are you raising OOP with a trash hand though? :f_mad:

why do you decline a rematch with a probably tilting opponent ?

@haha

It was the first hand and I wanted to know what kind of player I was facing. The other thing is that he limped so I expected him to fold.

@alejandro

I truly was "laughing out loud" (lol) and "rolling on the floor" (rotf)!

Sick one!

Clearly you do not play too many HU SnGs :P It's funny, 'cose around 1% of the HU I play finish in just 1 hand AK vs AQ, TT+ vs 99- , AT+ vs tilted opponent , etc! :P And I win 80%+ of those 1%.
The most mindskrewing (idk if that's a word, but you got the point) 1hand HU SnG I recently played was AQs in the SB for me vs .. 52o.. R, 3bet, 4bet (!!!) , I tanked for about 5 sec, shove and call (!!!!!). And then he declind rematch :(

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one that had these "easy money sessions". I was starting to worry :))
Nice experience! I wish you a lot more of these! W/ a +++ ROI, obv ;)

[ ] OP was OOP

It's HU SNG, if an opponent completes SB your raising just about any two....

lol i hope i'm not getting levelled here. OP is in the BB here, which means he's OOP. notice how he bets first on the flop

You certainly are not. People who have no experience in HU matches think BB is last to act postflop. And they dish out some quality advice :f_biggrin:

Peace.

actually on some sites its different.

On party i believe HU play has the guy OOP being the small blind..... This means you can be super tight in the SB _mad:

No, on party it's normal HU as well as on other sites I've played on, the only place where I've seen BB have position for the whole hand is if you play HU on entraction 6max tables.

This time I lost.
