I'm playing poker for 4 years now, i've played all the games there is, Omaha, Razzz, Stud , Draw etc. I've read at least 5, 6 books plus articles on pokerstrategy and also got coaching from friends i made on tables that turn out to be very helpfull.
I've been more succefull on my 2nd year when i consider my self a fish than i can make now, its like months of badrun, lost of time and pacience. All this tourneys i play turn in to complete frustation,i am now officially a callstation....
been defeated so many times putting all my stack with the best... the most recent was so bitter i was like 20 places away from money in 16.5k garanteed on FT CU raises i push with JJ(13k chips) and he instacalls with Ad8d(he had 16k chips)... no need to say that the A came on the flop and he sends me to the rail.... now i checked him and he's got nice roi and all.... i dont understand this why would a guy making this kind of plays be a winning player??? i allways check oponents and often they have awfull results and i think he's got lucky in this ONE hand... Wish i could find out a way to get out of this steaming, this is getting like standart for me... how can i win long run if this continues to happen to me??

long run = t ----> ∞, just hope that long term is within your lifetime. A player who always gets the money in when ahead theoretically may never win too or a player who always gets the money in when behind can make a killing.. Karma... Such players do exist by the way.. But still I'd say continue to play quality poker

Bad beats happen to us all. I lost with aces 4 times on the trot on one day.
Its hard to stay focused when you get on a bad run of luck. You believe that you are an unlucky person and get frustrated when you do everything correctly but lose to plain bad luck. I can tell you it happens to us all.
Poker has a small element of skill but is in the majority a game of luck.
That tiny percentage of skill can make you money though so stick with your game.
As I write I have just been knocked out of a Sit N Go but not from bad luck but from bad play. Short stacked I held 88 and limped in the SB. The flop was 995. After then pushing all in he called showing 94. If I had shoved pre-flop he would of folded. Oh well !
Just a small tip. Even if your not making much money you should be making something each year. If you are not you are doing something wrong.

Being a calling station will not help! Take some time to read and think about what they teach here or any other good poker book and you may see that being fustrated and changing the way you play(playing scared) is not a winning strategy.
wait.. wait.. wait.. You play tournaments and your calling losing JJ vs A8 a really bad beat?
AHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH. That's not even a bad beat and if you call it that then you've seen NOTHING YET. The variance in tournaments is incredibly sick so i can't understand how you can call that a bad beat, been playing for so long and still play tournaments. Unless you've been running hot for years?
wtf is the point of getting "coaching" from your friends? are they winners? if not your wasting your time. the fact of the matter is, coaches are perfect examples of profitable players which pretty much answer your question.

1 Hahaownedlolz :i dont consider loosing JJ to A8 a bad beat, just a outrageous call from A8 vs a push. I play also cash...

3 conall88 : they have much more experience than me so i see i have lots of things to learn from them, they teached me copple plays and tells... i allways think that theres something new learn from everybody.
I think that a break would be the best thing i do here it would re-set my mind and maybe erase these awfull situations from my mind... i could post some sick bad beats if you need a laught but i think is pointless due to the amount of badbeats are posted on this forum.
