Shipped my first step 4 ticket, meaning I will play the PCA Qualifier on sunday (unless its like superfew entrants, will probably keep it then and play another week) :)

Good luck for ur tourney. Anyway i tink for ur math issues, you can practice with the hem replayer because it calculates pot odds at every stage in the hand. On the whole, the math is more to give u a better feel and understanding. Start practicng with pokerstove more too.

Here's a question: we open sb with ak to 3.5 bb and bb flats. He's a 21/17 abc tag and tends to play his draws aggressively on the flop. The board comes AcTc9s and we bet 5 into 7. He raises to 15. Calculate our pot odds to get it in on the flop. Also stove a reasonable get-it-in range vs our hand, taking into account the fact that this is a blind battle.

thanks!

I was looking around for the 2$r qualifiers, as I played one last year and won a ticket... coulnd'nt find one but I found a 30+3 qualifier so I opened the tables and by the play of the players i decided I had a huge edge so i decided to play...

we are now 3handed, 2 tickets are rewarded. Worst case scenario I have 50$ but I have the CL and a edge over the players so hopefully I'll get a ticket.

And I hope I didn't jinx myself now

after one of the shortstacks sucked out numerous times and kept trashing away what little stack she made she eventually busted, thank god.

Which means I won my way into tonights qualifier, and still have one step 4 ticket to go so I can play at least 2 PCA qualifiers now.

Happy bunny! Lets just hope my luck doesn't abondon me tonight.

xx

easy come, easy go

sicko bad run.

Lost TT vs 44 on a 8944x board, then I had to fold KK on a 2J9J board vs a c/mr on turn by superpassive fish, then I got it in with 99 vs 77 preflop and flop comes K77...

Losing all my overpairs like that obv means I'm out of the tourney.

But, I have hope. Players are horrible, really horrible, and I will be back next week with a better run. :f_cool:

So, after 2 cups of coffee I wasn't tired after the qualifier ended, so I decided to play my step 3 and step 2 tickets alongside some studying.

I won a new step 2 ticket in my step 2, won a step 4 (which means I can now play one more qualifier with that one) and the second time I played my step 2 I won a step 3 ticket aswell, so very nice ending of the evening imo.

I even managed to get quite some studying done, but I must go to bed now because I intend to get up again at 8.30 and keep studying as preparation for my oral exam tomorrow.

Doesn't seem to hard to I expect I will make the exam, at least I if I manage to get out of bed tomorrow. Don't quite like my odds on that tho :f_cool:

Like Gerv says: I'm a sleepyhead.

Good night!

xx

Which games do you play with your steps tickets, and why?

Sorry that that sounds like an exam question.

I play the 215$ PCA Ladies Event Qualifiers on Pokerstars =)

The answe is simple, the opponents are terrible which means good value for me, and the prize is a 4k$ package to PCA Bahamas in January. In which I would play a 1k$ tournament, where the resistance is easier then an average PCA tournament.

Is that reasons enough? Just getting to go to Bahamas in January when we have ~-20c in Sweden is worth it imo. :)

And haha, when I was snoozing this morning I had a dream that I woke up and had a look at the clock, which showed me it was 14:46 already (and my oral exam starts at 13.00) haha. I paniced bigtime as I had to get up and study some more, but was reliefed to see that it was only 9.30 :f_biggrin:

Time to read things through one last time and head off to school...

wish me luck!

Oh and btw I'll be posting about some changes sometime soon.

I've decided to make a quite big change to my poker-related stuff. Ofc, a positive change which will mean more volume, more improvements, more disciplin and stuff. Am really excited about it.

But more on that later!

Thanks jb! Great news!

I passed my exam, and she said I even passed it very well. She also added, that she thought I will make a good mentor =) Makes me happy!

We were supposed to be 2 of us at the oral exam, but the other girl was a no show so I had to answer ALL questions instead of ~every 2nd question which obviously makes it harder, but she still think I clearly passed. :f_biggrin:

I'm so awesome! hrhrhrh :f_love:

Oh and tomorrow I get even more awesome: tomorrow I start mission STOP SMOKING!

So I already now want to apoligize for any insults or over-reactions that are to follow in the upcoming week hahah :f_mad: Woman who stop smoking (out of own experience) are worse then woman with PMS... so ya'll better watch out :f_biggrin:

Anyway wish me luck! :)

haha, thnx! first day... so far, so good :)

Using nicotine pacthes, feel a bit dizzy and weird but It's not unbareable so I'm just gonna keep it up!

I have a goal for November, quite a big one.

[ ] Play 50k hands.

Ofc, not on NL100 but on NL50. :) To show dedication and to see if I would be able to put up with the pressure of a cocaching deal.

Since it's next to school and I only play 4 tables mostly, it's gonna be a heck of a challange especially considering that I also quit smoking atm.

But hey, if I don't try I won't find out so... Bring on november! :f_biggrin:
