So I got through my first 135 games of the stake deal for -4.6%ROI. Had a pretty horrid session last night that continued into today, but this evening I made some of the ground back. From 30BI's down at the lowest to 6BI's down now, may the trend continue.

Well I finished my first stake deal. Didn't quite go as planned profit wise but it was a good experience, the first 100 games or so was the same old story - trying to (re)adjust to the games. I do actually find them quite a lot different from the $5 ones, more aggressive and feel that you need to be more observant to find those small EV spots to work. After those first (terrible) 100 games I felt much more comfortable and just reminded myself to play with some balls and not be so worried, it is just a game after all.
So I've got myself a longer deal, 1.5k games to play at $10 now - and I think this could be a good month for me. After 2 low volume months in Sept/Oct I'm ready to hit it again with some. I've managed 763 games so far in November so I may even set a goal or two in a few days. Which reminds me of this jb

You were very right, 2 months indeed is enough time to start to feel a semblance of normality. I feel motivated again to do more than just sleep, moan and drink caffeine.

I dont use HUD and im not planing to use it for ST. I have my own notes system. It works good for me:).

You can use skype to type too, I rarely make calls with it. Usually just use it as an IM.

Well, life is funny. My 2 year old is still bringing me joy and exhaustion in equal parts, started taking her out in the van with me to do my deliveries which has been entertaining. The boy is growing like a beast, he's in 3-6month clothes at 8 weeks ! We've justly given him the middle name "Bear" which is excellent because I never thought I'd get it past the wife (I pushed for first name but I'll accept this). He is now called by his middle name by us and almost everyone else that comes into contact with him, more joy.
On the poker front, I've struggled with volume the last few days but it should be picking up again this week and I'll have some incessant graphs to mercilessly thrust at you.

I think I'm just a slow learner and without a stake I would just find myself bobbing inbetween limits for eternity. I'm not on scared money now though and it gives me some freedom to try new things each session and figure out what works. Good reviews inbetween and I think I'm not too far from having a solid game for $10 now.
In order to gear myself up for each session I've been looking for some music with some fight. I was listening to Mars: The Bringer Of Waaaar from the planets but have found something much better - though I must admit, I can't really imagine Haitian's fighting to this

Well another week has passed and no real volume to speak of again. Desperately trying to fit a couple of hours in each day but it's usually gone midnight before I start by which point I've been up for 16 hours already and am beat. The sessions I've played have been pretty solid, just too short.

Thanks GRY. And I appreciate your patience, the wife has told me that I'll be relieved of some of my childcare duties this week in order to play a little more. So I should be playing 2x2Hour sessions each day - one in the day around work and one between 23:00-02:00ish. Hopefully get it finished by Sunday.
