You raise 6BB preflop with a 16BB stack so thats just too much. If your putting in that big of a part of your stack in preflop then it's better too shove in my opinion. However i don't think you should shove all in with 16 BB ever there.I'd bet 4-5BB preflop (If you had a decent stack) since there's a caller before you and there's 3 players behind you. and then just shove it in on the flop.

The stack size is pretty awkward to play with. So when your in spot like this you have to consider how much the pot will be on the flop and how much you will have left. So if you can just shove all in on the flop.. or atleast make sure you can make a decent sized bet for the flop and turn (in which you get it all in). (So for example betting 3BB preflop, 5 on flop and shoving in the other 8 on the turn)

I hope you understand what i'm saying As played.. there's no way you can fold KK with such a short stack.. So shoving is the correct thing to do on the flop. unless the board is really really ugly then you should always be getting it in. So actualy if you made your preflop size that big with in mind that you can get it in on the flop then that's smart.. but it's too much imo. The other guy shouldn't even had been in the hand and sucked out on you.

Thanx H for your reply , the table was quite loose with so many big stackers (saw 1 guy shove all in 98k with 88 out of position) so i felt i needed to put in quite a substantial raise to try put off any donk calls.(Didn't work obviously) lol Oh well may the grind continue! :)

would shove this perflop , its a freeroll so & guys will call pretty loose

never fold Ks in a freeroll , you got 17bb & to raise 6bb is commiting you to the pot , normal raise here ia about 7000 but that flop is a cooler for you

10k raise is way too much. I think 7k is just the right size. On that flop I would bet/call a push or if called I would push the turn.

just make it 7k and bet flop to be allin on the turn.
It was a suckout, you can't do much there.
