Flop: (t150) 8 :spade: 4 :spade: 9 :spade: (2 players)
Hero bets t150, MP1 calls t150

Turn: (t450) 5 :heart: (2 players)
Hero bets t450, MP1 calls t450

River: (t1350) 3 :club: (2 players)
Hero bets t1350, MP1 calls t1350

I have to agree with PocketAcesJohn here. You went up against some sort of calling station and you feel bad about that? Be grateful that you did. That does not happen this often nowadays. Most people would at least raise you to see where they stand instead of simply calling with one pair.

Dont expect bad players in micros to fold top pairs or overpairs. They're bad for a reason.

I put him on ace of spades hoping for a 4th spade - hence the pot size bids from me to make him pay for the priviledge

And he would still have lost
On reflection, I think I gave him too much respect thinking he had A :spade:
