i thought if you droped out they kicked you out of the residence.. not sure though ill have to check it out i dont think id really want to stay if i wasnt in uni anyway though but at least its another option....
i was on verge of moving upto nl400 anyway, i dont think there is that much diff in standard between nl200/1k on pkr anyway so if i can beat fish at nl200 i can beat them at nl1k, and most of the regs are the same between the stakes as well, so plan is to put in a load of volume at nl200/400 analyse make sure i am playing properly then move up when i feel i am ready, hopefully ill be at nl1k by end of the month

had worst ever losing day yesterday sucks a lot i jst ran bad in all in situations 100bb deep vs this guy then got coolered twice when we were 200bb+ deep oh well, on other news action sucks atm on pkr i am going to have to play on another site if i want to get action for nl400+, currently siting on nl200/400/600/1k waiting for action all day sucks a bit bc there are loads of other bumhunting regs all of which wont play me now who sit at multiple tables on each stake which make it even harder for the rest of us to get action,

ok thought id better update, today is day i tell my parents im quiting uni i will prob jst post some messed up thoughts =S
so im really scared of what they r gna say, and i dont know what to tell them either, i mean atm all i said is i dont like my course and i want to change it, but they have no idea that i am meaning to quit and play poker, i mean last time i saw my dad he'd jst gone mental abt seing a poker site deposit for £350 into cake poker or smth, they think i lose from it but never confront me that much since i just walk out of room=P but they dont really know the concept of it by any means and have pretty much the general mainstreem view that its bad and w/e "but how much did you lose" and so on so im not sure at all how they will react.....so then im going home on next saturday if they havent driven down here and killed me yet, and have to spend like 4weeks over xmas in my parents house wth all my family/grandparents/uncles/anties literally every1 around and they will all b asking me what im gna do and its gna b sooo awkward and draining jst repeating the same thing over and over again, so ill prob have to spin up a lie or a semi lie;) to tell rest of my family bc i cant deal wth telling them all im going to turn pro when having to be around them for at least a week whre they will annoy me so much....ill prob jst say well i dont enjoy uni atm i dont like my course i would change but too late in the year already so im quiting to go bk in a year or 2 and do smth diff that i will actually like and b motivated for... problem is im gna b movign out pretty much straight to get a new flat/go traveling and they will all b like how the fk can you afford this and stuff so gna suck abit there anyway i blabered on too much already...
anyway wish me luck i will need it about to be biggest let down to parents ever

All i can tell you is you can try to tell them you feel you need to do this, that its a game of skill and knowledge and you plan on going back to uni if it doesnt work out.
No point in uni if you aint motivated anyway

Ahahaha.. Really good luck sir! You won't be a letdown... But neither can you expect them to be happy because they don't understand how the game works. If you want to also tell them about poker you should also tell them about a back-up plan. Or tell them your long term plans because you should have some.
