we had a similar hand yesterday but this time i was pretty sure that a free card raise would work. ok ? i guess i should have folded the river. the problem is that i saw him going crazy preflop 3-4 times.

The river call is certainly correct: if you raise on the flop for a free card and then take the free card you let the cat out of the bag. So it is very obvious here for your opponent what just happened and he will usually try to steal the pot from you on the river no matter how bad his hand. By taking the free card on the turn you have invited a bluff on the rivver.
You would not first induce a bluff and then fold your hand to a possible bluff would you? ;-)

the question is which "bluff" can i beat after he capped preflop ? ^^

What means you saw him going crazy? If he caps trash then don't raise the flop and just call him down. I'm not sure if a freecard raise would work against a better player and if then you have to call the river. I mean he exactly knows your hand at the river if you take a freecard here. ;)

mh good question. i think i mixed up two players here. i reviewed my notes and the only note i have about him is that he doesn´t cap AQs in a blindbattle.
so i guess i meant another player. just ignore this preflop thing.
posted too many hands today :P

But the read that a freecard will work against him are correct? If so then fold the river here. (With the pfr read he just has to often a very good hand here.)
I would fear a 3-bt on the flop if he caps so tight preflop.

the read wasn´t very good but the free card play worked at least two times. but you are right. the chance that he 3-bets is too high. even with the read.

thanks for judging all my hands :)
