Random thought: ~.75BI/1k hands? Rake is a killer!

LE: 90k hands, monkey grinding mode, prolly gonna make the 100k goal, running decently also helps for volume. :)

I just have to write about this:

Deep stack vs fish FTW:

HEM for today:

Indeed, I put in my most volume in a day and got rewarded with my biggest winning day. I'm hungry, sleepy and my wrist hurts a bit because of all the mouse moving but fuck! It's worth it!

I know I kinda complained a lot, GRY, but you have no idea what a motivated student you have on your hands yet! This is just the beginning of solid volume!

98k hands so far this month, easy grinding for the 2k tomorrow morning and volume goal is met. I won't set myself any more volume goals anytime soon though.

I made some sick-ish laydowns today imo.

#1:

Maybe not such a hard laydown when reviewing but in the heat of the moment the pointer is attracted to the call button sooooo hard.

#2:

Villain is 13/9 3bets 2% and 4bets 2.7% over 756 hands. If we were 100bb deep I'd most likely ship the flop vs his JJ+, AKo but given the stacks and positions I think he has AA here too many times and I called pre for set value because I don't think he is capable of folding AA on K hi board. Nit? Maybe...

:club: 2010 :club:

:heart:January: Made ps.com account.
:heart:February: Started playing NL2 on FTP. Tilt major issue.
:heart:March: Lalalala, tilt tilt tilt.
:heart:April: Almost broke on FTP, got capital on Absolute Poker, cleared and lost some, withdrew and made a deposit on FTP. Played a few Rush SNGs. Mixed it up: HU SNGs, SNGs, MT SNGs, cash. Profit.
:heart:May: Started playing 9-max SNGs. Started well, couldn't handle variance.
:heart:June: Worked on mindset, played 9-max SNGs. Started a blog that lasted through the summer.
:heart:July: Gave up on 9-max SNGs, luckboxed some Rush MT SNGs and started Rush cash @ NL5.
:heart:August: Climbed to NL10.
:heart:September: Good NL10, started Uni = bad. Started this blog.
:heart:October: Shit volume, blew some money in Rush MT SNGs, had to withdraw to fix my laptop.
:heart:November: Back to NL5 Rush, got coach + stake at end of the month, run hot at NL10.
 December: Most important month of my life: decisions and plans. Quit Uni, 15k or so hands at NL25 lost some BIs, made OK profit at NL10 although some bad playing in between NL25 shots but greatly improved my game. Good bonuses to start next year with. Full-time poker player, trying to go pro, aka ship the moneyz.

Overall, pleased with my progress. Studying a lot, not just playing, pays off!

:diamond: 2011 :diamond:

Big year, especially the first half of it. My no.1 focus is on poker. Here is my goal list:

:spade:1. Become winning reg at NL25 Rush by February.
:spade:2. Start coaching micro stakes players by summer.
:spade:3. Earn enough on a monthly basis to be able to play pro by summer. This means to be able to withdraw ~$800/month. Personal goal is somewhere ~$1.5k/month.
:spade:4. Get into the affiliate marketing business. Lots of ideas, nothing actually started, thinking of best way to do this right. Have to study the phenomenon a bit more.
:spade:5. Start visiting some European countries: England top of the list, France, Spain, Italy and anything else I can afford and have time to. This is mostly for the second half of the year.

With some of these goals come some secondary goals like getting diamond on ps.com, black card for extra bonuses and what not but these are not a priority. As far as I'm concerned I can get demoted to basic level if I progress through limits at a decent rate. And bonuses are just bonuses, main focus is on actual winrate and volume.

You should be too drunk to write a post like that at that time of night on New Year's Day.

Unfortunately, my initial New Year's Eve plans got cancelled so I just had dinner with my family. Ah well, there's plenty of other chances to get drunk this year.

As strange as it may seem at my age, I also see the good part about not partying and getting pissed. :f_tongue:

Well not big deal you missed the big drunk out.
For some people New Year is just another reason to get crushed.

That penis in a jar at the end of the video reminded me of the time I stumbled across a photo of Rasputin's pickled cock during a computing lesson at sixth form.

What've you been up to? Haven't seen you around lately. Still pokering? (Can I use pokering for 'doing poker related activity'? )

I posted a few times on the hand evaluation forum a few weeks ago. Still lurking the forums most days, but reading the articles and actually learning/playing poker takes up most of my time these days. Will probably update the blog tonight but was considering letting it die with dignity.

Poker wise I got my laptop repaired for christmas and since then have been grinding my full tilt account with surprising success. Having alot of good cards dealt to me and been on the right side of alot of coolers. I checked HEM the other day and was not surprised to see 10% of my cards dealt had been aces. :f_cool: (then realised that was just cards I'd 3bet and like 0.56% of my actual cards dealt had been aces, but still think it says alot about how good i've run to think it's actually possible to have been dealt that many aces :f_p:)

Will download skype when i get back to uni. Would be great if we could sweat each other some time again but just catching up would be good also.

Edit: You just invented the word 'pokering' but it's so good i might have to adopt it.

After finally playing my first decent session of the year here is my graph so far:

Getting comfortable with NL25, still plenty of fish to stack just some more 3bet happy people. I need some more hands on them before I decide whether they run hot or they are just crazy. Clearing my modest EOY Bonus too so that will be a nice boost of my BR. Another thing I've noticed about NL25 is that Black Card is achievable without sicko grinding! Just your standard 3-4h/day and you get THE MOST COVETED CARD IN POKER!! Just w0w! _confused:

Oh, speaking of Black Card if you have it and care about numbers buying FTPs with Iron Man medals and then the $5k cash bonus in the FTP store brings you ~$48 extra for your medals than the $600 bonus in Iron Man Store if I didn't fuck up the math. Pen and paper I can do it right, I just made a rough estimate.

Cheers. :diamond:

SB shows A♦ 2♦
(Pre 34%, Flop 16.0%, Turn 2.3%)

SB wins $28.82

I'm strangely proud of it!

Thoughts during the hand:

Flop: Set on dry board. Opp kinda short.. check it back!
Turn: Yep, I hit like a pro. Start building a pot! Oh wait, he bets.. if I raise he's folding bluffs, mid pairs, FDs. Call should be best.
River: I hope he hit his FD cause I have the nuts. Oh, there's a straight flush out there too but what the hell. Oh, he bets! Hmmm... raise small? Nah, if he has flush he's never folding and I've seen QQ call shove in this spot. AI! He waits 2 secs... he might be folding! Calls! Shows! AHAHAHAHAHAH! ROFL! Nh!

Updated on vonki's request!

First thing, vote for her here:

During my session today I had a nice quads hand again. This time I double checked if I have the nuts.

Sucks for opp but I put him AI because I don't think he is capable of folding a straight. Maybe not even AA or KK.

Boring graph:
