hoping to grind away for maybe 12/18 months (less if i run like god) starting at the NL2 untill my BR allows me to move to the next lvl, hopefully i will make it to the $55 MTT lvl within this timeframe as i am an MTT player, and if all goes to plan i can make a living from playing poker and turn pro if this is viable but lets see what happens in the 1st couple of months. wish me luck and gl everyone else ♦
2011 - World Tour financed by fish and maniacs
I play cash NLSH and SNG 9 max for a few years. I have a BR in the k's but play very low stakes to improve my skill and tilt control and beat the limit before moving up.
My goal is to play every hand as if it is the only hand gaining and using as much information and thought possible to make correct plays.
My main goal is to play a hand exactly how I would if I knew what my opponents' hole cards were.
I will use a 75/25 play/study ratio - keep reading books, analyze situations etc..
Start in Toronto -> New York -> Amsterdam -> Leeds -> London -> Amsterdam (so good it deserves two visits) -> Egypt (for advanced scuba certificate) -> Japan (see some friends and eat some great sushi) -> L.A./S.D. (more friends, poss. job interviews) -> back to Toronto.
I plan to leave in Feb. So some grinding to do until then to make my goal. I'm willing to make stops along the way - if there's interest I'll photoblog the whole thing with graphs.
Starting with $2k, to have at least $20k by the end of the year - $10k in the summer.
Plan to reach a level by the summer where I am beating $50 mtts, and then in a position to be rolled for $100 mtts by the end of the summer.
Also plan to improve at cash to be a winning nl100/200 sh player by end of year.
2011 must be the year of big changes (chances?) in my life.. 2010 was all about grinding the same limit over and over again, due to fear of loosing bigger buyins (could go on nl100, but still stayed at nl10)..hard to eliminate this feeling in me when daily 3BI profit @ nl10 would be good for a living in my country, however i'm planning to move out of here (romania), to UK (with 1 or 2 friends) and there poker will be crucial for me untill I find a normal job..also I will be teaching these friends of mine so we can go live in a place together/grind poker together and hopefully work legally in team (would be the best).
I will have to learn a good SH game, play very high volume and never go below 3bb/100, that should be the plan. As we gonna restrictions in march (under revision by EU yet, maybe they wont accept it) poker will be harder to play, but ofc one way or another I will play...with someone's else name/bank (friends), proxies etc...something as weak as the government won't fuck with me..
My exact plan will be like this depo 600$, nl10 FR till 900$, then nl25, around 1.5-1.8k nl50, and there i can stay a longer time. In the meantime I need to learn SH/PLO if I have time left. Will be playing on more platforms, in as soon I clear Iron man bonus I leave FT, go to stars and the other platform is unknown yet, but will split, stars FR, other SH I think. No time for live poker here, full focus on cash, in free time learn to be better sng/mtt
Really hoping that I can climb the limits till summer because thats the time I go abroad, if poker fails, life will fail...so pretty strict plan here, no kidding around...
about the pros, i used to watch but I promised to not care about them, the more you watch them the worse it is imo, durrr's game is not something you can do online, if I'll go up to nl2k+++ I might watch him, but tbh by that time I should be good enough to not watch 72o bet/bet/ai bluff..
my plans arent on paper yet because first I need to cure myself (i'm sick like fuck) and then I can start poker..ouch wall of text..sry.. GL for everybody
A fresh start.
After a long break imma start grinding now again.
Watch a ton of Videos varying from basic to intermediate. Already saved up 3gb of videos.
Make a alot of notes taken from Videos and articles that i will be reading.
Put in ATLEAST 1.5k hands a day.
Not putting up any monetary goals even though it would be nice. But my ultimate aim as of this moment is to become a good poker player. And hopefully the rest will follow.
$30.000 in my poker account
$10.000 winnings in a month.
My deadline is 30 September 2011.
whenever i rethink of poker as a way to secceed and earn money in joyful way
i relive the moments that chances which i can't controll come and take place at the table or hand., makes it harder on the nice thought isnt it? ...
well im not the giving up kind of person
and for this year my poker-plans are to identify moments when chances can turn fate around, play it carefuly, and to keep menaging my bankroll so big losses wont accure.
to think bigger, smarter, to always be one step ahead of you.

My plans for 2011 :
Keep posting hands for review in the hand evaluations forums.
Currently i'm only playing NL25 SSS -> Want to play BSS NL25 when I have the BR for it and move up at the BSS (FR). So i'm going to change my variant, and keep playing this variant)
Keep following the coaches for BSS & SSS every time i'm available.
STOP playing SNG's. In the past I realised this really isn't my variant!
Keep multitabling at the cashgames but not over 12 tables for at least 6 months. (as my winrate goes down when I exceed that nr).
Moving up the limits (with a good BRM) and keep going for it.
If I go 3 bi down during a single session -> Take a break!
Review my game in poker tracker every week. (find leaks... and ways to solve those leaks?)
really dedicated to make 100$/day. Totally going for this, if all the above things go as I want or slightly as I want (won't go perfect ofcourse) than I should be able to achieve that as it is a challange that I can complete.
Good luck all!
Becoming a reg at 6.50 stt-s would be awesome. Work more on my game by re-reading articles, watcing videos and icm training, evaluating hands. Also want to volume up my games, thinking of 8-12 tables(6 atm). Trying to improve my mindset and not looking my br during sessions. Should also keep away from cg

I started to read some serious poker books by David Harrington, Doyle Brunson, and I really feel how I'm improving my game. This year I will focus on big tournaments, and I hope I will get several times in the top 10

I'm beginner in the world of poker. After trying this and that, I found that I like STT SNG the best. I've lost few deposits here and there and now I can say I play successfully on 1$ limit. For the next year I have plan to:
1. read lots of material online concerning SNG's strategy, take little bit of coaching and improve my play
2. go up in limits, my goal for the year 2011 is 10$ buyin SNG's
3. start to play MTT's, for the start up to 45, then 90 and then real tournaments with 1000-3000 players
4. go up with my bankroll and hopefully start playing live tournaments as well
see you at the tables ![]()
cheers

I decided to go pro 6 months ago so my main goal for 2011 is to prove that it was an EV+ decision ![]()
Currently I am still grinding (12 tables) 11$ turbos at FT , within a month I am getting a new 27 inch screen so I can 16-table. The more specific goals are:
1. Play over 3000 games/month
2. Move up the limits as high as possible (to beat 33$ turbos would be nice)
3. Improve my game - I have never used any software so thats a room for improvement
4. Start coaching 3 or 4 friends of mine to prove them that anyone can beat the game with enough effort
5. Live a little healthier (give up smoking, gym etc...)
6. Visit as many metal open air fests as I can \m/ \m/
7. Learn to play guitar
8. To be a better human being and make everyone I love happy
