after a nice 6th place finish last night my BR is at 1.7K..........im going to vegas in november and im hoping to win my spending money from playing online......i would love to be able to withdraw in the region of 4k to take to vegas and still have a BR of roughly what i have now left in my account afterwards!playing mtt's at the minute...taking a break from cash games....im rapidly improving my game but still have plenty of work to do and leaks to fix...heres to grinding hard in 2011!

1) Be a winning player at .5/1 FLHE & then 1/2.
(50k hands of 1+BB/100)

2) Save enough money for my trip to madagascar. Plan trip
(4.5K, get necessary shots, contact & check out options)

3) Finish University
(1.5 credits? Talk to department)

4) Develop a close relationship with someone you care about.
(1 cute/smart/no bs girl)

5) Develop a solid reputation in my new work position (recently promoted).

6) Improve my self image: (get new clothing, maintain better hygiene, get in better shape).

7) Teach my poker coach to speak english well.
(meetings 1-2 x/w, test 1/m, tvshows, movies)

8) (to personal imo)

9) Gain 10 pounds.
(eat better / more frequently)

10) Reward myself for my efforts on the above goals.
(what do you always enjoy doing? UFC, TV shows, Drinking good beer & wine, playing pool, watching good movies, enjoying a nice view)

In 2011, i want to consolidate my current bankroll over 4 sites into 1 or 2 sites.

Currently playing $6.50 STT (turbo) on stars, so with sonsolidation and continued profit i want to a min 5% ROI at the $16 STT by the end of the year.

Also play more live poker....i've recently gone to the local casino a couple of times and the level is sooooo poor. So i hope to get to the casino at least once per month and see how that goes over the year (hard to get free time when i work so often, but if the win rate is anything like when i've been the first couple of times then i'll get there regularly!)

Had a - by my standards - pretty good year playing full ring 1-2 Fixed limit hold'em mainly at Full Tilt:

Hands played 45,902 Winning: $2,526 BB/100: 2.75

goals:

1. Become a better player by watching videos/read articles at Pokerstrategy.com, follow some of the coaching sessions. Watch Cardrunners videos. Read through 2+2 articles.
2. Trying to either play 2-4 full ring limit hold'em or switch to 6 max and move down a level or 2 to get the hang om 6-max

Up until now I've underestimated the work involved in becoming a decent player so my goals for 2011 are to study more than I play, starting again at NL2 6-max.

I'll be playing no more than 4 tables as previously I've quickly got my self up to 16+ tables and it has done me no favours! As I said, I underestimated what it actually takes to be a decent player.

As a general aim I'll be shooting for a new limit every 2 months but use a 25 buy in rule, moving back down if I lose 5 up until NL50 at which point I'll be wanting at least 50 buy ins for NL100 before moving up again.

Study is the priority here and hopefully 2011 will be a much better year than the previous two!

My plan is already in 2011 to beta micro limits and move higer. Today will try to post my first hand. Also will try to learn how to use elephant pokerstove and other poker tools. If son will lost my money again then will concentrate on reffering new people instead of playing. Two years in micros without any profit is too much for me.

Haha well there are plenty of things to do in 2011, haha first it would be to party hard :X, then i would really like to get to around 60-70k hands per month, i want to go somewhere in another country this summer, i want to reach nl50, curently playing nl5( winning player i gues), i want to get a drivers license, i kinda want to get my exams at college, i want to improve my spoken english, i would like to start playing WoW retail but i prolly wont, poker first right ? , and getting free coaching wouldnt hurt ^^ i gues there are alot of things in my game that make me lose sometimes, and having a coach to point out what they are would be awsome.

Thank you, smile101

Having stagnated at NL25 for 3 months the last 2 weeks has almost doubled my roll in 10k hands, hope to be playing NL50 within the next 2-3 weeks. Target is to be playing a minimum of NL100 by the end of the year. Although with 3 kids and a full time job getting the time to play can be some what challenging at times.

To enable me to make continued improvement I am going to try and watch 1 video each 1-2 weeks, untill I feel I have incoprerated anything new to me in each video into my game I won't watch another. I have sat down before and watched lots of videos in succession and feel as though I don't benefit from an information overload. Each new tip that I learn from these videos I will put on the wallpaper on my phone so its a constant reminder untill it becomes second nature.

Once a week I will sit down and review my hands, try to spot leaks and post anything i'm not sure off in the forums for advice.

Good luck to all here at poker strategy, may it be a prosperous year for us.

Hello.

My plans for this year are playing NL5 SH tables, maximum 2 at once. I would like to earn enough points to get Holdem manager, to improve my game and ofcourse earn some money. I am going to read poker books and watch SH videos. I hope to increase my bankroll to start playing on a higher limit.

These plans are modest, because I am also a student and don't have so much time. I also have to work on my tilt control.

1) Win 200K Double Deuce
2) Get Full Tilt Gold
3) Thanks to Pokerstretagy :)

Well, I've been playing poker now for about 4 years, I've had good times playing poker and bad times often overshadow the good times :)

This of course is due to poor BRM, and not studying enough of the game.
since last year since i join PS due to free bankroll hunting , my life has never been the same again.

I've been studying the game and improving my skills too, thanks to PS!

Finally my goals are:

- To start using PS Elephant software to analyse my game and block all the leaks in my game.

- Get accustomed to PS equilator and other poker tools on offer.

- Start learning PLO and other poker variants as time goes on...

- Finally this year must be my year to finally breakthrough and start making BB/hr in the long run. I know it won't be easy but alas!!! it's my goal!!!

cheers!

Hey,

I have big hopes this year.First of all I want to be good poker learner.I want to improve my poker and mental skills a lot.Still play cash mostly but want to try MTT also.My main goal to give a lot of rake to PS but for that I need a lot of coaching :).And I don't mind to bee lucky this year.
Best regards,
still :f_confused:
but want be
:f_cool:

I have a dream......(but let's not get into that here!)

Poker related goals.....

Number one, and the most important - get out of the bloody micro stakes I'm stuck in just now where every one just calls and you end up getting beat by river flush's etc.

Number two - steadily build my bankroll - firstly back up to what it was when I started before a run of AA beatings took there toll and then double it by year end. I started with £90, am now at £10 (I know, catastrophic, I'm hurtin' bad), so want to build it to £180.

Number three - keep learning. Don't get compalacent and think I know it all. Keep pushing myself to deepen my understanding of the maths and statistical side of poker.

Number four - start entering tournaments instead of playing just cash games all the time.

And last but not least - get the GF off my back for playing so much poker. This may involve a shotgun and a big hole but so be it.

Good luck to us all guys and have a prosperous new year.

My plans in 2011 is:

1) Move limits up. I want to hit NL50 I think so.
2) Finish a high school, make exams perfect
3) Join some university, in Denmark or in my Country.
4) Try to live from poker, make about 400$ from it. It should help me then i will be a student.
5) Go throu all downswings and dont look back, just study and do my best.

After playing for 3 years and gaining some random bits of knowledge and experiences of poker, i think this year is a good time to become a real shark and get out of the fishbowl.

I am going to study no limit strategy a lot more and work hard on my cash game because i think its the most complex and challenging type of hold'em to play and it is where i have the most knowledge already.
I will stick strictly to a bankroll management plan but allow myself to take shots when i play well. And if playing badly or tilting, which does happen time to time :f_cry: i will learn to leave or sit out at the table because ive realised this can be a problem for me.
I hope to start a blog and take a constructive approach to taking advice and hopefully being able to give advice to fellow players on pokerstrategy.
I need to learn how to set up and use poker software so i can be sure that i am making profitable plays at the table and be able to look over my hand and fix my leaks.
I also hope i can become a respected and recognised member of pokerstrategy and to make the whole team proud (Sell too hard ? :f_cool: )
Getting some coaching wouldn't hurt either i don't think, some help with that one please :P
