a small update from jq

I woke up and i cant seem to fell asleep.. but im too tired to play.. So i was thinking of making a smallish update.. Dont get used to it tho! ♦
(Nah i really will try to update here as often as possible, also i believe others will make me..)

I dont play much these days.. As Tomas said we should save the grinding for the Phili mission, now its time to spend some time with those we

Still i need to play a bit to maintain Ironman and to keep myself in a decent shape.
When we get there we expect sick grind for at least first month.. Im reaaally looking forward to that..

Also i tried normal frnl100 tables today and i might try these for some time to see differences between rush and those.. to get to the volume from rush i would have to play like 16tables at least.. maybe more.. im not sure i could play so many comfortably.. but i can probably easily play 12.. maybe 14.. and we will see, maybe i can turn myself into a grinder and play more.. table ninja helps a lot..
so the volume could still be decent and i feel like i can have bigger edge on normal tables.. They seemed softer today but i will be able to say more about that after i play some more hours..

I was also thinking about playing on both FTP and Stars.. going for SN on Stars and keeping my FTP rb% high by averaging 500ftp/day there..

Today FTP introduced tiers for black card.. that could mean
1. higher rb for me if i would be able to make ~3500 hands/day on nl100 or obviously easier on nl200 when i get there (if i get there ) - doable as the plan is to play a loooot next months
2. rush could get tougher as more ppl will grind for points.. ofc we cant know this but its fair assumption..

So yep.. ill probably stick to normal tables for now and after some solid sample i will let you guys know what i think about rush x normal tables

About the move

I thought i would describe some stuff to some members who wonder what is this all about.. since i still cant close my eyes and sleep tight.. meh..

about Dylboi?

We are not sure if Dylboi is still in.. Obviously we hope he is.. The only problem is he didnt speak to anyone of us for like a week now and nobody knows what has happened to him.. Maybe he just has some issues to solve but its rather disturbing not hearing from him for so long..

What you need to do when you move to the other side of the globe?

So i figured.. If i were follower.. I would be so curious.. What would it take to move to southeastern Asia for Euro guy like me? What do i need?
Is it just ticket and some $ in my pocket?

Well... for some ppl it could be that easy.. why not..
But lets talk about me..

Passport - I had to apply for a new passport as we dont use these anymore inside EU and my old one was obviously gone..
Tickets - i mean.. ye.. you need that..
Travel insurance - cant travel without that can you
Bills - whatever bills you are paying monthly, make sure it will be done automatically or someone will pay them for you
Visa - To live in Philippines you need to apply for 2 month visa, which you can then extend once you get there..
Vaccinations - sorry dont know all the names in english.. but you can always search the internet for enough info about what you need at certain destinations
Moniees- Make sure you will be able to withdraw ur monies in certain destination etc..
Place to stay when you get there- We are staying in the hotel till we find a solid house to live in.. We already have some contacts ( thanks guys )

yeah, tiers of black card are very nice Black card improvements Taking into account the iron man plus, they put back in place recently, it is already very nice for high-volume grinders

(btw did they email you or did you find info yourself on the FTP web / forums? I think they should have emailed their VIP black card holders and I did not get any email)

btw - I tried that normal NL100fr x RUSH and I also had a feeling that normal tables are bit more soft.. However, I think FT wants to popularize rush as it rakes a lot and also people like it because it helps people to (i) grind more intensively and hence (ii) spend less time playing, which is something very important for people with families, jobs, hobbies etc. So my perception is that rush is going softer and softer recently, which is visible on the fact that more players sit at rush tables. So the differences may prly fade away soon. Personally I will definitely play just rush for non-poker practical reasons, no need to table select, you just open 3-4 windows of rush and play and can quit in 1-2 hrs whenever you want.

We put him on mostly AA/KK from the turn on so we decided to call turn for our 11ish outs (sometimes K not out but unlikely he has KK if K comes).

On river we tank and start talking like bad luck we did not hit and when we have 5 sec Patrick says "...if I am him and have Aces I fold if we shove now".. we start laughing than I realize it makes sense: 1. we have only 200 behind to 400 pot already 2. he prly cant fold aces to such odds 3. he is a good player and will know that 4. so he views our shove river as pretty much nuts 5. J on turn completes lot of hands he beats and 6. we never bet worse than aces for value so the only thing he can beat is pure bluff with his AA (while we never bet KK on turn as we have no value in hands we could beat) and 7. he knows we know we never have fold equity as (leading back to 2.) so we never bluff. 8. so our shove river is always nuts and he can fold aces ♠_cool: I manage to shove in a last sec of our time bank, Marc tanks a lot, chats and folds:
