vb river :)
but i think it´s close. check/call is fine also

If we bet river must we fold to a raise?

I like c/c better here (not that that's saying much, my river play is awful). But to a bet he will fold his busted draws, and raise his made draws. Only hand we gain on is a pocket or a 2 or 5 (not very likely).

With c/c he may bluff with two spades, or with something like AT or he may value bet with a worse J.

as i said: i think it´s close.
but imho the river is bet/call. a backdoor flush is unlikely and he would have raised a Q somewhere. i think we still have a value bet against worse Js and some pockets.
check/call is good against a busted flushdraw but he will check behind any J, any pocket, any A for sure and value bet his Q (if he really has one which i doubt)

Many bad players are waiting for the river to raise.. Dunno why but they do.. The choice between c/c or b/c is close I think. Depend on stats as usual..

ok i think we all agree that it is a close decission and the situation would be clearer with some stats but whats the best line against an unknown player on 0,5/1 fr ?
i stay with the bet because i assume that the average player on that limit is a passive fish/callingstation.

I think c/c is better decission in this situation against unknown player because we can make him bluff, avoid agression and difficult decission on the river after his possible raise on this board.

ah my new boss ^^. welcome

i asked some guys in the skype-judge-channel about the hand and firsttsunami and don salva told me that they would definately bet it and call a raise. so we have about 100 different opinions now ;)

but it hink it´s a good advice to avoid such situations by just checking (at the mirco limits).

You definitely have to bet there. You have 2nd pair and topkicker. There are many hands outside ( KJ,Jt, pocketpairs , a fish calls even more than that) which will call a bet. There is no hint that your opponent will bluff when checked to him and another aspect is that he will cb hands like pocketpairs which will call this river. Only the Backdoorfd hits and will raise. A raise in this situation is seldom, definitely. Ok some delayed raises with the queen of course ( but we'd bet/call the turn of course, too and when he makes delayed raise he could bluff raise ,too ).

So to conclude : Bet/call DEFINITELY.

Against unknown and bad players I agree with nrocket and all the other Bet/callers here. *g*

But would a TAG really call TT- here? A TAG can have JT, KJ, QT and maybe AJ here as possible holdings which he would call and not have raised already on the turn (KQ, AQ, QJ)
Still a bet but a slightly closer one.

And frzl you know that there only is one go... ehh boss? ;)
