dont force yourself to play just to make leaderboards, if its -ev for u to put in long sessions its not worth the 1BI you will win off the LDBs

going to win that $3.30 multi entry rush turbo rebuy...

JJ vs AKo for pot sized around the average stack.. so yea can't complain too much..

last 3 days don't look that good.. it's standard tho.. nothing too worry about and I'm happy with how things have gone so far =)...
Getting ready for a marathon session..... gonna try to get in 7 hours tonight...

new milestone reached.. being >2k$ under all in luck adjusted ev... YAY
hit my stop loss the third day in a row and had to stop... found myself tilting my stack away on one table... pretty mad at myself for that...
so sick
Sucks man, your graph looks an awful lot like mine this month (I know this is not just from one month but the swings seem the same). Btw you have mentioned a couple of times now that you have a stop loss. Is this a number of BI's or just the feeling you have (tilted or not)?

yea I stop loss after loosing >17bi.. And of course if I feel a bit tilted or something I also stop..
And I recently made a change to my plan that I would also stop loss if I would run ~>6bi down in all in luck adjusted..
But I also don't really keep that much track of how I'm doing while playing sessions so I might not actually know when I reach these losses..
waw that graph looks brutal..
at least your red line is running! how much is your redline EV?

So you are playing a session and then AFTER the session checking your results and if you hit your stop loss
no more games right? Brcause if you are judging it based on how things SEEM to be going while you are playing
or even checking HEM during play it is not a wise way to decide when to stop. The last 6 or so games in your set
for example can put you in the money and even better 1sts and 2nds and boom you finish in the +.
But as for feeling like you are tilting that is a for sure sign to stop opening games even if you have only opened
like 5 or so so far because regardless of winning or losing its just wrong to keep playing when you know you are
making bad decisions and lucking out.

.That is exactly why I asked about it. I never check my HEM before the end of the day.
100th Iceland 5,642.50
I'm gonna be so tilted when I wake up tomorrow and see I finished 101st on the monthly leaderboard...
I think most of the regs that are close to me have already finished their sessions today..
still 3 hours to midnight in server time... lol I haven't been so excited about $22 in a while ![]()
ps. I was in the green today... the cold decks were sick tho.. KK vs AA too often to count.. but it's whatever not gonna complain..
big January summary tomorrow..
January 2011 wrap-up
Okay month although the results weren't as good as I hoped for (I can allow myself to say "expected"?).. Still don't think it slowed down my progress to become a high roller at all :f_biggrin:.. Got nice amount of studying and took my game up a level or two... I finally reached platinum and was capable of watching all the new faarcyde videos ( his videos helped me so much... he's probably the key reason of my post flop play getting a lot better better this month) and tyvm to pokerstrategy and lessthanthree for his new videos.. <3 videos were great as well.. and I hope we (sng grinders) will get as many good videos in february.
Finally played 1k sng's for a month.. and I think I'll make try to make 1k sng's each month.. I feel like it ain't that hard and the money I gain doing this should be nice..
My investments in other players went pretty terrible this month.. Most likely took a >$250 hit there.. so I don't think I'll see myself doing staking deals with people I don't know in the future.. but of course I'll look at the staking forum and see if there are some players I think are trustworthy..
As for the hand evaluations this month that went pretty well.. Chenny and Lessthanthree decided they needed some help with the evaluations so I was made a hand judge.. I'm pretty proud of my skillz getting the thumbs up from those two guys and yea I was active and got into some fun discussions regarding some hands and fixed a leak or two..

you have big swings like this, then next time you wont feel so bad because 'its happened before'. good luck in feb
