PokerStars - $0.50/$1 (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

MP: $28.00
Hero (CO): $30.90
BTN: $7.00
SB: $7.75
BB: $9.25
UTG: $18.75

SB posts SB $0.25, BB posts BB $0.50

Pre Flop: ($0.75) Hero has J♠ Q♦

fold, MP calls $0.50, Hero raises to $1.00, fold, SB raises to $1.50, fold, MP calls $1.00, Hero calls $0.50

Flop: ($5.00, 3 players) J♥ 8♣ Q♥
SB bets $0.50, MP calls $0.50, Hero calls $0.50

Turn: ($6.50, 3 players) A♦
SB bets $1.00, MP raises to $2.00, Hero calls $2.00, SB raises to $3.00, MP raises to $4.00, fold, SB calls $1.00

River: ($16.50, 2 players) 4♠
SB bets $1.00, MP raises to $2.00, SB calls $0.75 and is all-in

on the flop i just call with the intention to raise on the T. But on the turn I don't like when MP raises and I decide to just calldown.
after 3bet and cap,i think I shold call on the T just to see a Q or a J on the river. if I don;t see the fullhouse, i fold.
what do you think?

you have to raise the flop here! its super drawy and you want to get in as much money as possible. standardline cF rT only applies in HU-situations. as played this might be a very close call on the turn after the bet/raise, but a very easy fold vs the 3bet and cap. you have to distinguish between your relative- and absolute handstrength here. SB most likely got you beat with either a set or a better 2-pair and even a Q or a J wouldnt help you on the river.

yes!

raise the flop is mandatory in that situation and as epitaph mentioned: call flop raise turn is a line you are supposed to stick to in HU-situations but when it gets 3handed+ you have to raise the flop for value! you want to get in as much as possible as early as possible! you miss value by just calling the flop and when you take a look at SB's range:

he does very frequently AK that he does check on the turn anyway: you gain 1SB less

he does have AQ KK AA: he does 3bet the flop.

that means you do not only protect against MP's hand but you even squeeze out 2SB more out of SB's hand and you could either cap the flop to induce a donkbet since SB could put you on a flushdraw or KT or you just call to raise again on the turn.

i like to cap to make him believe that you did cap the flop for the sake of a freecard opportunity.

call on the turn is ok since MP could still have AK AT but after 3bet and cap you are done with the hand. your hand is just a bluffcatcher. one of both will have KT, a better 2pair or a set.
