I run like god atm. Mr Koala is pleased, but tells me to expect a downswing soon.
And btw, my blue line goes up, and my red line goes slightly down, just like a proper grown up poker player, in contrast to my previous aggrospewmonkey stats. ♠_biggrin:

Croatians!!
So in war/poker, the way is to avoid what is strong and to strike at what is weak.
Congrats on that ♠_cool: I was rooting for Spurs the whole way through, and you deserved to win it ♦
Flamini should have been insta-red carded for that horrific challenge, and his attitude after the challenge was shit. Gattuso was his usual animal-esque self, should have been sent off as well probably. And his rage fit at the end was hilarious, I wonder if he knows that Joe Jordan would absolutely murder him haha! All I can ask myself is what exactly did Joe Jordan say to him? Because at one point Gattuso was just being his usual aggressive self, and then the next moment Joe Jordan had said something to him and he was going absolutely mental ♦
1) I have my underpants on back to front to day. How old does one have to be before one starts to master even the most basic everyday things? And I can't be bothered to reorient them before my lecture. I hope none of the students are mind (or trouser) readers. So sad.
2) Speaking of mind readers, mrsjb has bought tickets for me and number one son to see Derren Brown's live show in the summer. I am already worried that I will be hypnotized and have to go on stage and act like a chicken, or a koala, or even an AC Milan player.
3) Why do microstakes fish (and when I say 'microstakes fish' I mean 'me') overvalue two pair? Well, what sort of hands do we play that make two pair? QJ, JT, etc. In other words, connected cards. So if we make two pair, the hands that will give us lots of action are straights. And last time I checked, straights beat two pair. If you have QJ, and the flop comes down QJT, you may think 'Woo hoo! I have two pair.' but if the stacks go in, you can be pretty sure, even from the point of view of hand combinations, that he's not going to have AQ.
I posted this hand in the HE forum, and got told that there were plenty of worse hands in his range that I beat, so I have to call. But I knew what I was going to see at showdown.
It could be worse. And it seems in that case is not at attractive as it seems to be in women (I mean, no pants at all)

We will know which is one you
(I feel envious. I love Derren Brown)

Totally with you there. However, I think that it is not so much that we overvalue top two pair, but it is more that we undervalue fishy strength. When he is check rasing you like that, he is not thinking that you are so poker minded that you will think he is doing that because he doesn't really have it and then you will pay because that looks like a bluff. Nope. He is turning up the cards and telling you: 'hey, I have a str8'. I mean, you have good players who know you will call. But, in particular if they are nitty, is what I like to note as 'hand killers'...
