Did a hand review for my play of yesterday and I am quite happy because although I lost a little I played most of the hands well (I think ) and I got coolered a few times.

Now it is time to grind a little

@WinnerInside: Thank you and I will try to keep it interesting

Just did a grinding session with a great mindset. manage not to tilt AT ALL will getting coolered by 2-6 outers numerous out of time. I also put into practice hand reading and it helped. We will see at the end of the day but I feel good about this session. There were some interesting hands as well that I will post here after my session review tomorrow.

I see poker is going well for you! Glad to see that! Can I ask, how did you practice hand reading? Just interested to see all the methods people are using. GL!

Hi Gerv and Fulja

First of all I hope I am using the right terminology. What I meant is I am practising putting my opponent on a range and acting accordingly. I practice in 2 ways.

1) During my session reviews, I put my opponent on a range equilate it against my cards with the board and see if I would have repeated the same action or if there was a better alternative. The main advantage there is that I don't have the pressure of a ticking timebank and have all the time in the world to analyse my options and estimate the range.

2) During live play, I do the same thing but with the added time pressure, estimate the range and see how much approximate equity I have.

On the learning side, I also have a couple of videos to watch.

Of course any additional suggestions are welcome :P

I played 3 sessions today and just over 4k hands.

The 3rd session was quite weird, for the first 20 minutes or so, I got into a lot of weird situation. I mean against people playing very weird lines like limping from SB with A. The hand of the day has to be this one, the outcome made me smile.

so i saw both side of variance yesterday :)

I lost also to set over set, although I think should have seen coming.
Villain was an absolute nit with only 3% PFR and he min 3bets me pre. giving me good implied odds when I do put him on KK+. He has got 80% cbet so he could still bet the flop with both KK or AA. Now the the turn bet i doubt a nit would do it with second pair so that leaves me against AA and lost however I was blinded by my set and thought just in the small chance he had AK.

Here is another one but this time I made the right equity call I think although I also wasn't sure at the time

I got only a few hands on villain but he seems like he likes to see a lot of flop with about 45vpip

I did not run great over the last couple. I also haven't put enough volume this month.

February is almost at the end so I gonna focus on mygame for the last few days and start again with volume for march.

It is always good to see this kind of players calling bluffs with air:

tbh I though a proportion of his range would be draws, so I bet for value /protection against a lot of draw and hoping him to fold AQ+.

I have been called a lot over the last couple of days with A high on 3 streets (just a remark).

just quick because im playing :]

- I dont like the turnshove as Gerv said.

- The 97o is just pure spew, I dont think the fish is folding anything ever here on the turn.

- I dont like calling a limp 3bet with 98s. You cant call a 3bet with 98s anyways this shallow .

- I dont like the 2nd barrel wih T9s as he is never folding anything better

- I dont like calling a 3bet with 77 against obvious AA. Yes his 3bet is tiny, but I dont think you can profitably call this shallow

I like the 2nd barrel and fold to a raise. He can fold TT-KK+draws imo. So you will fold out better hands.
