It is now confirmed: Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu is going to take on team mate Viktor "Isildur1" Blom in the SuperStar Showdown:

This time, the two players will face each other on two different occasions:

  • First round: will take place on March 20th, 19:00 GMT; it will consist of four tables of $50/$100 heads-up No Limit Hold'em. After 2,500 hands are played, their stacks will be carried over to the next round.
  • Second round: will take place on March 27th, 19:00 GMT; it will consist of 2,500 more hands at four tables of $50/$100 heads-up No Limit Hold'em.

Who do you think will come out on top at the end of the challenge? Will it be Kid Poker or the young Swedish pro? Tell us who you would pick to win this match in this thread.

Blom will dominate tho whole time but then Negreanu make a sick comeback and win with the total profit of 1$ making him the best openly gay heads up player in the world.

i want to beleave that daniel can take this. He has some good poker reads... i just hope that expierence vs sick style can win. Otherwise the only way to play poker is being super sick :)

TherE's no way DN can win, Bloom is far ahead in term of skills. Only way daniel win will be because of variance :)

His reads wont be any good here though :)
hand reading is related to the opponent's style and betting patterns not to his face(body language helps when hand reading but it's not that important especially at pro level)

a very interesting game but i think negreanu will take it down because he has far more experience

Uhm yea you are right he's great at hand reading, but Im curious how he will adjust to Isildur's aggro style and constant pressure. I think hole cards won't play such a big role here. Dunno I just think Isildur will rape him with his aggression.

DN has been playing some of the best online heads up players over the last few weeks though so he probably isn't as bad as many of you think.. I'm surprised 40% chose DN though.... overrating him an enormous amount.

"experience" isn't really all that true. Just cause you've been playing a long time at pro level doesn't make you better.. Isildur1 would absolutely destroy many veteran pro's. Plus online players play way more hands ♦

I think it's not as big difference as most Isildur1 fans think.. but i think i'd definetly give Isildur1 a 65% chance to win.
