I found a house which I am probably gonna rent together with a friend. If we allowed to rent it, we will move in on may first. Decorating and installing all furniture will take up a lot of time, so hopefully i will not fall to far behind on trying to get SNE. It also creates a lot more responsibilities, so going broke would be a "care" for the first time.

SCOOP schedule and what I will, will not and maybe play and all the buy-ins:

38-M 22-May 17:00 NLHE Main Event - M $1,050
38-H 22-May 17:00 NLHE Main Event - H $10,300

Total buy-ins calculation:
Rebuys: 0.4*3+0.2*4+0.3*5+0.1*8=4.3 buyins (SCOOP is a slow structure and I am never a lagtard maniac in the rebuy period and I am calculating 4.3 times the buy-in with the rake included)
1R1A=3 buy-ins+rake (Pretty much always buy-in+rebuy+addon+rake)
2X Chance=0.7*1+0.3*2=1.3 buy-ins

Green is a buy-in under the 3K$, seems to be +EV or both. These will all be played
Blue is a buy-in above the 3K$ or is neutral EV or slightly -EV. But these will probably will be played
Orange is a pretty big buy-in or seem to be -EV or both. These can be played, but there is a chance they won't be played
Red is a big and probably (hugely) -EV, these will not be played

Total buy-ins:

Green: $70,915.25
Blue: $25,152.50
Orange: $19,650.00
Red: $30,700.00
Total: $146,417.75

I am now starting to look at and start getting busy with the SCOOP. Every three days I will go to sleep an hour later until at the start of may my sleep rhythm will be going to bed at 10 o'clock in the morning and waking up at 6 o'clock in the evening (Dutch time). I am really not looking forward to living through the night and not being able to chill and drink with my friends in the sun, but it is only two weeks and it is sort of a personal challenge, so I will definitely be playing.

regular and MT s&g's, pretty much every limit. Made the transition because I could not play any bigger s&g's anymore ;)

Wouldn't say it's the antinuts :P, but my PLO game should be better than my FLO8 game :P

300k mark :

I know the graphs and hands etc. have been a little absent, but I am just really busy right now outside of poker. Maintaining a blog goes on top of the other stuff. I will obviously be keeping you guys posted and hopefully within the next week or so I won't be so busy anymore.

Life of a grinder:

Sick day. First 1000 hands or so are PLO400 to PLO2k. When it all just didn't work out I started grinding PLO400 the rest of the hands and with result :). Epic crushaments. To bad I did not run to well and I did not manage to make any profit for the day, but, you can not have everything. Still working on my game. My stats are getting pretty epic, currently I am playing 30/25 with a 14% 3bet :P.

Let's throw in the month graph as well:

I've played very little PLO this month. The 5k hands today are more than 1/3 of all the hands this month :P. Most produced rake this month are coming from all the hypers I have played.

Interesting hand:

PokerStars Pot-Limit Omaha, $4.00 BB (6 handed) - PokerStars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

saw flop | saw showdown

Button ($1070.55)
SB ($498.50)
BB ($721.50)
UTG ($449.65)
MP ($400)
Hero (CO) ($665.30)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 10, 8, Q, J
2 folds, Hero bets $14, Button calls $14, 2 folds

Flop: ($34) 3, Q, 6 (2 players)
Hero bets $24, Button calls $24

Turn: ($82) 3 (2 players)
Hero bets $64, Button raises to $136, Hero calls $72

River: ($354) 10 (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $288, Hero calls $288

Total pot: $930 | Rake: $3
Main pot: $930 between Button and Hero, won by Hero

Results:
Button had A, 5, 4, 5 (two pair, fives and threes).
Hero had 10, 8, Q, J (two pair, Queens and tens).
Outcome: Hero won $927

My opponent is a thinker and I do understand what he did and why. He is a thinking opponent and we can assume he is not a fish. He might not be the best PLO player, but he is certainly a player that thinks about his moves. He is aggressive but not a spewtard.
What mistake did he make and why did I call down?

Great post. I have no idea what the mistake is but i'm assuming the turn reraise? Looking forward to the insight even though i don't play PLO.

U calldown cause u have CS-tendencies?
His msitake is sizing IMO, if he had a hand he would rais emore so he can get the money in and he may not eve riase a FH here + he doesnt have many 66XX in his range IMO + u have blocker to QQXX, easy game?
EDIT: Please tell me how good I am ... I ahrdly play PLO though so it would mean a lot to me and it will make me more eager to switch faster :)

agree with THESHade that it's his betsizing on the turn. If he has a set/most 3's he's gonna try and get all the monies in on the river. obv if he has 3x/66 plus hearts than gg me tbh, but still would try get more value with what is quite an obvious 'pot' spot?

Ya, but if he pots it we have less hands to call down with (as we assume his potting range is stronger than his raise size here) therefore if you have a good hand it is +ev to do the above bet sizing right?

But I do admit his value range is ridic tight and most of it will raise on the flop as there are tonne of draws.

without having any reads, he is repping too tight of a value range imo.

i assume that he has a wide BTN 3betting range, small rundowns he could3bet, and its the only thing he could really raise for value here (not the best option though imo). a topset he would most of the time alraedy jam on the flop. 3s and 6s are just not so much in his range, and if it doesnt make so much sense to raise it on turn imo.

only hand he cuold have is like A345, with which he makes a valuebet with, but he has here lot more bluffs.

just gonna go with sizing. he should be leveraging your stack here: ie he should be raising enough to allow him to get it in on the river with 1 PSB. which is what he'd do with his entire value range, IMO.

but he should be doing this with his whole entire range so that he is balanced. he must be pretty bad no?
