Yes, good point.
However it is the case that most successful poker player have "worked" to be where they are at. They have put in hours learning strategy and hours in grind sessions. Why is it really that different from any other type of work?

Agreed, but I'm not sure it applies here. There is nothing wrong with friendly competition in a game setting. It's just a case of where you draw the line. I wouldn't say it is unchristian to beat someone at chess by making exploitative plays for example. That's what the game is about after all.

This is where I'm not sure I agree, as I said previously I think it depends on your perception. If you see it as "fleecing" people, or "gaining money by trickery" then yes, it is morally wrong. If you see it as playing a professional sport for a living, whilst entertaining recreational players.....then there is no problem. Perception is everything perhaps.

Here you are definitely correct. It is a pretty fine line for sure, but it's also a conscience matter. Since the scriptures do not specifically give the answer it is down to our God-given conscience.

No studies show that great civilizations were dead the moment they lost religion. Mayans civilization "disappeared" due to draught which caused the killing off of a large part of their population. You've been watching a bit too much religious propaganda mate.
