Question:
I hear US players are still playing at FT but not on PS so why can I not play real money games on FT? At Stars I have no problems. FT cashier does not even offer the option to deposit.(not that I would deposit) Are Austrian/Canadians(non US players) banned at FT?

I do realise that. But after your making so much money might aswell pay off the loans is what i figured.. There's not really that much pokerstars to reinvest in.. If they were a company making products.. then those would reinvest into more factories, machines etc.. What could pokerstars really spend money on for them to have to take on a loan? Possibly buildings.. I doubt they spend that much on hardware that they'd have to take loans for it.
But i didn't consider the possibility that they'd reinvest most of their profits and having very little $ left behind.. I hope that's not the case but it's definetly a possibility.
@otherguy If the US government could shutdown pokerstars even if they didn't allowed US players anymore then there's something seriously wrong with how much power the US has.
I'm not looking for an argument. I do not care about your speculations either. I am no expert on any of this stuff and am just voicing my opinion. You can reply but realise i simply don't care about it unless you know what will happen for sure or have reasonable evidence to support your claims. In which case i'm sure everyone wants to read about that. Basically i'm saying. don't bother replying because i don't care. Especially if your going to be derogatory like the first guy. I never said what i said was a fact.

Less about gambling laws and more about greed and backstabbing in the corporate world. Shady transactions, shady people, and people without a clue. Then add the feds who just don't like the operation, and you have the mess we are in.

@ loans discussion: Most businesses use loans because it allows them to leverage (ie make more money using other peoples cash). They have things like fast cars and mansions and food bills to spend their own cash on. Haven't looked at the financial statements for any of the affected poker rooms, but I would guess it would be unusual for them not to have any bank facilities.
@ withdrawing discussion: IMO, if you're protecting statuses on P*s/FTP then keep the bare minimum you need on the site to cover short term variance, hold the rest in Neteller/MB or withdraw to your bank account (whatever works). If you don't need to protect any status, GTFO - you can always re-deposit when things become more certain in a week/month/year.
BTW I've had my usual 2 second response to a $200 w/d on FTP to Neteller, so no problem for Kiwi's so far.
@ FTP/FPP spending discussion: If things are going to happen, they'll likely happen waaaay faster than the stores will operate (at least the FTP store!). Personally, I'm just gonna wait, and if I lose that, I lose it. I just don't need that many t-shirts.

I am from the UK and i am not banned from FT poker room, however i am banned from the website the same for Poker Stars as well.

From NZ there is no notice on the Pokerstars/FTP websites homepages, and all looked as normal. Still asking for new deposits. 0.o
Has anybody been able to successfully withdraw from Stars in the past 4 hours? That's how long my request has been processing. I did receive an email stating that they'd received my request for a withdrawal to moneybookers, and that it'd be credited within 72 hours, but I have it from good sources that it doesn't usually take this long.
Anyone?

I have a withdrawal request pending for about 7 hours now but I'm in the UK. I don't think the delay is a sign of whether it will be successful or not. Stars/FT will be facing a huge amount of withdrawal requests they could not have been prepared for so everything will be slower.
I withdrew to moneybookers from stars about 3 hours ago and it approved it straight away and is now in another site.My friend tried 30mins later cos she was winning a 45seat sng but she couldn't even get to the cashout screen.strange?
Yeah I actually tried to withdraw on tuesday to my debit card(takes 5-10 days) and I opened FTP and the money's still there. I'm not too bothered if I dont get it - only $164 but this is bad news.
this is where mr sippin_criss's sng grinding $16s with a $800 roll really would save some bux :X

Great. I don't know what to make of it now.
Fingers crossed that they're just overwhelmed at the moment, and my request somehow managed to get moved to the bottom of the line 
How long does it generally take for a withdrawal to come through, without these exceptional circumstances? An hour max? A day? Does it make a difference that this is the first time I'm withdrawing?
