agreed @ HEM is most convient. you dont even need to open up HEM to generate the hand history. takes about 3clicks, i usually post them immediately in hand evaluation during the session. therefore occasionally forget to blank out the results

Coaching

I did try to find more coaches to improve even more...

BFP: Only coaches that are relevant for me are Giggy and Samoleus. Giggy isn't coaching from what I remembered from his blog so I only PMed Samoleus but I have this feeling that his rate will either be very high or he wouldn't accept me (esp since I mentioned I was playing on Stars too). But who knows?

LeggoPoker: OldJude seems like a sicko, but 400/h is super expensive. If I were to get coaching, I'll probably go for a short 5-package session. Harangutang charges 325/h but he doesn't seem that good so I'm not going to consider him. Other coaches are either unknown or out of my price range.

CardRunners: They closed the coaching section down after US government raped the poker sites

Deucescracked: Overpriced bunch of coaches. Only guys who seem good are Ansky and FWF but they charge 650/h

Ivan

He tells me he might be coming to Singapore. Might be interesting to have someone around who plays similar limits as me and we can go grind together. My other Singaporean friends are either playing lower or just bum-hunting HU so I don't have too many players to talk with and discuss strategy.

dont u think american coaches will decrease their prices cuz they cant play themselves?

no idea, don't care that much...

anyway FTP hates me. fucking site likes to take a shit on my face again and again. Of course I certainly made many bad plays and outleveled myself in a few spots. Lost 3k in total at NL400-1000 6 tables. I'm always walking the fine line between spewy and sufficiently aggressive. Played 32/26/12 and I think that's too tough to play. Some stupid reg at NL1k pwned the shit out of me. I couldn't do anything. I was opening really wide like 80% from BU which is probably not good when that guy is on BU 3betting me 30%. Should decrease it to 50/60%. I folded to him 3 times on the first table. Then on the 2nd table, he 3betted me 3 times in a row.

I 4bet once cos I was sick of it. He knows I was playing really loosely cos of the fish. He 5bet jams once, then another time (the very next orbit I 4bet again because I thought he would think "oh he just showed a bluff I don't expect him to 4bet me light again" and I lose another 200$. Third orbit he 3bets again with JJ, I got so annoyed and flat with K7s. Board comes T7XXA and he snap barreled so I snap called down. I don't even know if it's the right play or not.

It's just a game of leveling and I don't know what level to think on. Right after that hand, another hand appears at NL400. I have AJ on A93sAX and I get checkraised on the flop. Turn and river, he pretty much betted really quickly. Me having trips is not all that relevant. It reduces combos of A3/A9 but he will still have same combos of sets. Plus the pairing on the turn will reduce his bluffing frequency by a lot. I just looked at his stats, felt tilty and leveled myself into calling again and saw 99.

Of course I certainly made a lot of marginal plays. Like backraising allin with 22 CO vs BU sqz. That guy was 3betting al ot from BU, only a few hundred hands on him but it was >20%. Sqz % was 10% at that point in time (which would not be sufficient for me to backraise light) but I thought that it might have been wider in that particular spot. Ran into JJ and burnt another 600.

Blueline is in a mess as usual. Need to find a style that suits me the most.

@purplefizz: yeah I calmed down and played a short session before my coaching with TLN. It went well :)

Made back 1.4k at NL400 Rush / NL200 SH 6 tables, with the majority of earnings coming from one NL200 SH table. Was quite easy and ran quite well. I marked 0 hands because I was very sure about every single spot. I don't know why it says I played VPIP 20 when I filtered only the NL400 games. I was pretty sure I was making a good effort to play tighter from OOP (esp in EP) though I continued opening super wide from BU/CO.

I think I will revert to a TAGgier style for a while. And it has been some time since I ran well at Rush. Let my overly spewy image pay off for a while.

For the first time in 2 weeks, my blueline was ultra high and my redline was slightly negative which I think was my original style. Of course I ran hot too (or rather, people were playing stupidly vs me).

Hand 1:
There was this guy who 3bet with QQ and I flat with KK cos we were 170BB deep, didn't want to isolate vs AA. Flop comes down KXXr and he makes a weak bet. I tank for a while and call. Rest of the cards were irrelevant but he makes another blockbet again, trying to get thin value from my TT/JJ and I raised. Then he tanks and calls. He weakdonks again, 20 into 120 and I make a huge raise. He levels himself into calling. He probably didn't include AK/KK/AA in my range and thought I was trying to turn a made hand into a bluff (which was very much possible cos I guessed he had QQ 75% of the time based on his sizing).

Hand 2:
3bet with 35s, UTG flats with AKo. Flop comes out 246r8, he checkraises me and bet/calls the turn. fking horrible play but thanks for the 250 bucks.

Exam Plans + May

So my plan is to play Rush for the first 18 days of May, until my exams end on 18 May. I will try to play 2-3h a day while studying 6-8h per day for my exams. Last semester I played some starcraft and warcraft so I'll channel my efforts to poker this time round. I was badly tilted in December so I forced myself not to log into my accounts.

well he posted this after I posed the question. Omfg 500/h, but actually I'm not all that surprised. I think he would probably be a better teacher than FWF/Krantz but who knows? Forget it, i'll work myself the hard way, my hourly will never be that high in the next 1 year+, not going to pay 8000$ for 20 hours.

yeah i was comparing NL400-1k. NL400/600 are similar, but NL1k had close to 10 tables while stars only had 4

@TLN: pls comment on this hand. And my video is done so I'll upload it, 1 h 4 tables of NL400 SH. I was playing another 1-2 tables at the right side of the screen but i don't think it interrupted the video too much.

Won a lot of sick pots, like allinpreflop KQ 3way vs JJ and TT, and board comes out AJXT so I scoop the 1.2k pot. However, I spazzed about 700-800 at rush and I also got coolered in 150BB deep spot AJ vs 33 on J35A5 board. So I'm down 200 for today.

I find myself always continuing on my bluff when the 4th suit hits. To be honest I still don't know if it's a good bluff card or a bad bluff card. Pls advise.

Definitely find myself playing really focused and concentrated when I'm playing shortsessions and ESPECIALLY when I'm playing while recording a video.

I think it's just really tough to find ppl to analyze with. So anyone, wants to produce videos and then trade with me? We can just write comments for each other's videos and then swap. Looking for NL400+ of course.
