Is poker legal in Russia and Thailand? Or is it grey area like in Canada?
Google is your friend... I typed in "Thailand is poker legal" first listing told me it's illegal.... As it's classed as online gambling and all online gambling is illegal.
Yes, I realize this but is the playing of online poker illegal or is the putting money on the site illegal, and if im not a thai citizen then can I play it in Thailand? I know there are members on ps playing from thailand, so are they breaking a serious law or are they using a grey area?
They are breaking a real law for sure. Of course no one knows what the penalties are because no one ever seems to get arrested for it.
Hey OP, stop being a pussy.
You probably break the law dozens of times per day and you don't even realize it. What do you want thai authorities to do, track you down and kill you because you played poker online?
Was thinking of going there myself, found this article and link interesting

Has anyone ever heard of someone being deported or bothered by the authorities for playing in thailand?
Yep any form of gambling in Thailand is highly illegal unless it is run by sum government body like the army run hourse races which is carupt as fack.
This being said you are still able to play online there. Somtimes there are blocks on the main sites but you can still download software through proxy servers and once you have the software there is never any trouble.
So I hear anyway

How is online poker a grey area in Canada? There's a government run lotto and betting site with online poker.

That does not make unlicensed offshore online gaming legal!
You're right again. Never really thought about it I guess, I've always assumed it's legal because it's accepted.
