0.10/0.25 No-Limit Hold'em (10 handed)
Hand recorder used for this poker hand: Texas Grabem 1.9 by www.pokerstrategy.com.

Preflop: Hero is BB with A♣, 8♣
3 folds, MP1 calls $0.25, 4 folds, SB calls $0.15, Hero checks.

Flop: ($0.75) 7♠, 3♦, 8♥ (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.50, MP1 calls $0.50, SB folds.

Top pair, Top kicker, but only a middle pair so a raise for me.
Turn: ($1.75) K♠ (2 players)
Hero checks, MP1 checks.

River: ($1.75) 6♠ (2 players)
Hero checks, MP1 bets $0.75, Hero calls $0.75.

What would have been the right play on the river? If I don't give him an overpair I have to raise. But he could hold the K. So check. But than it should be a CF and no calling the bet of my opponent I think.
Final Pot: $3.25

Results follow (highlight to see):
MP1 shows [ Ah, Ad ] a pair of Aces
Hero shows [ Ac, 8c ] a pair of Eights
MP1 wins $3.09 USD with a pair of Aces.

I would cbet turn and likely fold to re-raise... at least I won`t have tough decision on river.. But as played I would play river the same...

I would play CF from turn.

We can call a bet on river if we think that we can win in 23%+ cases, but I don't belive that we have so much chances.

My formula says: 1 /(2.5/0.75 + 1) = 23%

You got Judge icon Xylere grats, or bug ?

I dont see, why did you give up on turn ? If you checked the turn, why did you call the river ?

If you were planning to call the river, why didnt you bet ahead fold to reraise ?

My mistake, better not to hurry sometimes. :)

Thanks Utahmar, I agree. I think on the turn I have the choice to keep the initiative and bet, ready to fold against a reraise or I decide to play the hand passive but then I have to check fold consequently.

Congrat xylere also from my side.
