So after my grind this morning I decided to hit the gym and also scheduled a coaching session with my golf coach. I feel a lot better now. I've also decided that I am gonna change the clubs in my golf bag with some of my poker winnings.

April has been my first winning pure poker winning months (Jan-March losing poker wise but up from rakeback/staking/tournaments)

As you can my graph sucks. First 2/3 was Rush trying to rebuild my confidence at the tables but it's rigged so I don't win there ♦

I always had enough to still continue at 50NL but didn't have the right mindset but I felt really good and decided to play some. Ran really hot for like 11k hands but then ran the complete opposite up until the point where I was break even for the month. I definitely played too long sessions, not in the right mindset even though I ran bad that definitely contributed to my losses.

My Black Friday Thoughts

I think since the Americans are not playing on FTP / Stars the games have got easier. I expected that fish wouldn't be tempted to deposit when they saw the domain seizure if they visited the website or reading the news but it seems like that hasn't happened. There have been days where there are I cannot find any fish spreading tables across 25-100NL.

I believe this will either be good for us in the long term or will not affect us. I believe it will be good if the US market gets regulated and we are allowed to play on those sites. There has been a lot of discussion that if it's regulated it will only be US v US players and if it doesn't get regulated then it will only be specific states that decide to regulate and we will have no chance playing in those. For e.g the law that is going through DC is run by the lottery fund so there won't be any PS/FTP/Party it will all be run by them with one site for everyone to play on.

Although if we are able to play vs the US again I believe there will be another poker boom, not so much like the Moneymaker situation but i believe that people like Harrahs/MGM/Zynga will enter the market with multi million dollar advertising budgets which will bring in a massive influx off fish to the games. I also believe that a lot of the good regulars will either move to vegas or abroad (such a small %), a lot of players will quit poker, and some will play on sites like merge/bodog. The skill level of these players that quit playing is going to reduce because they are not keeping up with the games and I would expect a good % of them will start playing again, not to earn a living but for fun and maybe take it up again more serious but there will be a faze where these players that used to be good suck and might have tilt/mindset issues being out of the game so long. Therefore I think if we are allowed to play vs them again the games are gonna be super easy.
