Vs TAG, I though about folding river, but odds were too good and he called my big turn bet so I didnt think he had too many naked FD in his range(though a lot of FD+pair hands). Really surprised me when he showed 66..
Just finished a sweat session with Scarmaker, ran like god on NL50, need to grind up 6 more BI at NL50 and I will take my first shot at 100NL.

Maybe I could valuebet the river here thin? Not sure about this hand(he showed up with 55 but I think I might have missed a small valuebet on the river vs his range, since he is almost never checking Kx or Ax on the river)

Vs TAG, I have over 2k hands on him, his fold to cbet is 35%! This means he is very very often floating and I think I can get most value by just c/c turn and river and letting him barrel off(he shows ATs).

Villain is 17/14 abc guy. I think he has Ax here 100% of the time so I turn my hand into a bluff and overbet river, he thinks and calls with AQ. Oh well, I thought he could fold that since my line looks so much like a flush(I often overbet for value in these spots).
888 cashier on $2800, need to grind up 4 more BI and hurray I move up to NL100.

Both guys are TAGs, CO had a very high fold to 3bet so this was a great spot to bluff, unfortunately I get cold called by SB-I think he is very strong here basicly TT-AA, AK,AQs.
Both of them check the turn so I go for it and try to rep AK, get called by sb(I think he is leading his aces 100%, so his range is TT-KK imo) so I have a pretty easy shove on the river.(I might get owned by some kind of slowplay from time to time, but the move has to be sucessfull only a bit over 50%, so its def. a very +EV spot).

UTG is a fish with 0 fold to 3bet so I dont mind squeezing with QQ and I think its by far the best play. BB is a pretty wierd guy 21/9 3bet 2% over a 1k sample. So its acctually not a very tough fold.

I dont agree w KK snapfold in that hand. imo QQ is defo fold but id definitely call w KK as i dont think that even that passive player has in this spot aces only. I even think that this 4bet shove indicates more often AK than KK, AA. I could find fold of KK if eff stacks would be abt 130 (140) bb and more. But i might be wrong. would you mind to give som thought process advokating folding KK in this spot (at NL50)?

i dont like hoping for a split at best
he is cold4betting UTGr and presumably quite tight BU. This is rarely AK. He can have some, but they will also fold / some fish call w it. I played even NL5 this week quite some, to back off this saying from microstakes and i ve seen what ppl were writing in the chatboxes (i alw believe amateur plrs when frustrated they just write the truth abt their hands). + I myself folded KK at least 3times PF for under 120bb deep in my carreer on even NL1kSH, whihc is by far more agro obv . It were different scenarios, but a golden rule here for me is:
whenever in doubt abt sth being marginally +EV for a very big pot (this discussion wouldnt even start, if it wasnt the case) , just always FOLD unless u think ur opponent is deliberately trying to exploit u (which is not at all the case here -such logic as: if i fold here KK, i am getting explotable, thats a total bs- nobody wants to exploit u here in this scenario on NL50 ever). U re just allowing variance to take a prime role in ur poker career and if u can assess ur postflop skill advantage is big, u dont mind making even a slight worse decisions preflop. The advantages of staying sharp and focused on where u have a bigger edge is rly important. Esp on higher lims, where ppl know what shifts in dynamic are likely to happen and they will get rolling after big wins.
On this limit I prolly dont mind the longerrun effects that much, mathematically u d have to assess him specific handcombos of AK and genuinely try to find out if he can play that many that way. I however strongly diagree that he is playing "most" of AK this way, he is deep w the fish, dont forget! would he rly want to risk so much w AK? The logic of "he would 4bet smaller w AA doesnt rly apply that much coz it's a fish itself. It can rather think sth like: "I shove coz I will level them into calling + this guy for 100bb is never folding and I dont want 3way or more AI action w AA, so I just stack him. (which btw I think is also the more correct way to think abt it esp on this limit, where he is rly not expected to be ever semibluffing in this spot w sth like A4s anyway)
makes sense, I mean I would be getting in kings vs a range of KK+, so thats bad even with the dead money.
Just wondering-if I was him I probably should not cold 4bet kings? That would be only isolating vs AA? Actually thats a pretty tricky spot, if I call and the fish shoves its a fold probably, and stack off postflop vs the 100bb deep guy on a low flop?
//edit: so I should not even 4bet aces here if my range is 1 hand in that spot
This is interesting-If I was BB and I knew that the squeezer could be light and I had AK, I could be actually 4bet bluffing with AK(bc of the blockers) since they cant stackoff without KK+ and I can get QQ to fold very easily. Ofc If one of them pushes I fold bc I dont have enough equity with AK vs KK+. That would be sick, never thought you could 4bet bluff with AK

U r always 4bet-bluffing w AK @ NL50below
Played a rly, rly sick 12k hands in the last few days, I was runing extremely poorly, managed to recover in the end and today hit the $3k mark on my 888 poker cashier(I cashed out quite some of my BR about two weeks ago, could have been there a lot sooner). I have to admit I was not A-gaming most of the time, after a series of very sick spots(fish floping a set with 77in a 5 bet pot 200bb deep etc.) I thought I have to do something about my mindset because I am still not able to completely ignore the results. What I tried in my last 4 sessions-I started recording myself playing and then watching the video after the session and thinking of different lines in every spot to maximize EV. The fact that I was recording myself helped me a lot and I didnt care too much about the results either bc I was just concentrating on the given situation.
I will definitely continue doing this kind of play/session review.
Anyway what this means is that I have to say bye bye to NL50(finished at 7bb/100 on 888) and will be starting on NL100 at the start of next week(I am planing to take a day or two off-do some crap for school and watch some videos, just clear my mind a bit bc the last few days have been a very sick grind :))
Since reaching NL100 was a goal I set for this year when I was starting out with this blog its kinda nice to be there after a bit less than 2 months. Because of this I will have to set some new goals for the future:
:spade:Beat NL100 at 7bb+/100 this month and move up to NL200
:spade:Get to NL1K this year
It might seem a little too ambitious, but I would rather set the goals rly high and just do everything I possibly can to achieve them.
Since this post is already so long I have to also add some rl stuff - I am probably taking a year off school so I can concentrate only on poker and see how far I can go, possibly make some nice money. Also I am thinking about starting to play pro basketball again-I didnt train properly in the past 5 months bc the bball clubs in bratislava suck so much and I had 0 motivation to work hard-without this u cannot achieve anything in sport.
Last thing- I would like to ask for advice on some good poker vids for NL100,NL200(either here or on cardrunners)-all I have been watching recently are Jballer88 NL200 vids(on CR) .

Hey, do you plan to play NL100 and above on 888 or on Stars? Did you feel that 888 poker was much easier than Stars? The regulars are just too bad?
Atm im sticking to 888, later I might switch to stars due to better traffic. Not sure about NL100, but NL50 on 888 is a bit softer than on stars-more mid stack fish, alot of terrible regs.... but the vip system on 888 is like the worst ever so not sure if it makes such a big difference in the end.
