Pre Flop: ($1.50) Hero is BB with A  A :spade:

Vs fish, I thought this would be the best way to get it in vs him-I think he is going broke with 1 pair type hands, draws and also some pair+draw, so I was pretty happy getting it in(he had the naked FD).

This1 also vs 70/40 guy, I know its a limped pot so the stackoff is pretty thin, but these kind of players are happy going broke with any 2pair/set here imo. He shows 26o but I still I think the stackoff is ok.

Vs wierd 32/20 guy, The flop donk is so awkward-I mean he can never have the nuts here donking the flop. So I decide to fire through, not sure if its not spew with 0 equity.

Played some more NL50 after that, won a few stacks so thats always nice. Tomorrow next try on 100NL, I feel I am totally crushing NL50, hope it goes well also on 100.

in 1st hand I would definitely double barel turn. so many worse hands he will call with and I dont want to lethim take free card in the case he is on a draw.

in 2nd hand I wouldnt even think this is thin stackoff. against fish its instaturbofistpump stackoff imo. he may have not only sets 2pairs str8 there but also pair + OESD or GS, slowplayed AA, KK, maybe hands like TT, 99 etc.

in 3rd hand - if I think he is pretty strong there, Id rather c/c turn for pot control, reevaluate river

Thx for the opinions, Im rly not sure.
But: hand1: I would love to stack this guy before some1 else does and if he has a draw the only way is to c/R the turn. If he has Kx he is beting the turn anyway, so I dont think the c/R attempt is rly bad.

hand2: rly not sure, need some advice here, you know there is this rule never go broke in limped pots without the nuts :)

hand3: I dont know too much about him, but if i c/c the turn I am turning my hand face up as something weak. I am just asking him to barrel air twice telegraphing I cant call on the river. Ofc he wont have air here most of the time but I would rather fold to a turn raise than play a guessing game on the river, besides that I think I can maybe get 3 streets from strong Qx if he doesnt like to fold.

No idea how to play this. 4way pot with overpair oop is just a nightmare. I doubt he is calling 3 streets with Tx and c/f the turn I found too weak. Absolutely no idea how to play this- If try to go for pot control on the flop I will be playing a guessing game if some1 bets multiple streets and also not sure if I can bet 2 streets for value vs 1 pair type hands bc calling my cbet 4way is a lot stronger. Need advice!

Here against TAG, I dont want to c/r flop bc im not rly comfortable getting it in here-I think his stacking off range is very tight here, basicly only sets and top2, my equity vs that isnt that good

Equity Win Tie Loss Hand
Player 1: 38,182% 38,182% 0,000% 61,818% KhQh
Player 2: 61,818% 61,818% 0,000% 38,182% AA, TT, 22, ATs, ATo

Bc of this I like flatting more, but then what to do on the turn? I rly dont know how to play my flushes oop, it rly sucks.

Line1 : Donk turn -I think this is rly obvious and hard to balance in c/c flop donk turn. I think he will call though with some strong hands like Ax,2pair,sets. But if I bet river again I think he is folding so so much, basicly might call some set or 2pair but even that I doubt if he is good-my line is way too strong.

Line2 : Check turn- Bad thing is he will check behind a lot with Ax and then call the river. If he bets and I c/r I cant see him continue with too much bc I rep a flush so much-he might think he has implieds to draw for a fh, but he is def. folding Ax, unless he has like AQh. If he checks behind I might try to overbet the river for value to induce some hero call, but depends a lot on player I guess.

Playing these draws oop sucks so bad, bleh. I might slightly like the donk turn donk river line more-I could maybe be doing this with some picked up equity on the turn and then just firing good rivers when I miss(and obv. when I hit) to balance my range here.

Here vs TAGish guy, I think his flop call is pretty strong since its 3 way, So I dont give it a big chance he has some random float here, so pretty easy fold.

hand1: very good vs a lag/maniac who alw bets when checked to, vs tighter u deffo need to bet - betsizing depends on mainly dyna - whether u can see him leveling himself easier to a 3street calldown or just 2 street and whether he can repush strong draws. The higher the limit, the more this spot speaks for a bigger T bet coz ranges are wider and they are happy to stackoff with good draws and push them. On NL100 u need to experiment a bit with betsizing, but from what i have noticed - smaller bets usually interpret weakness to regs (for no apparent logical reason when u re an exp plr) and they are more likely to fight against them.

hand2: standard

hand3: bet bigger on T! his calling range is very inelastic in that spot, he either has Qx or better and is calling or he is folding for no matter what size. U need to max value vs most part of his range, therefore betting 2-3$ more would be better. Also, smaller bets sometimes induce value/cheap sd turn raises, he could have raised u here w AQ going for a cbeh on R, so i dont like this hand rly. On higher lims (prolly on 200 already, unless u re a total nit, they are going to valueraise here w AQ like alw after a somewhat smaller bet, so this line is rly too weak there.

General advice: the higher on lims u go, the more crucial ur betsizing and balancing of ur betsizing will become. U need to start analysing boardtextures and work mostly on ur understanding of how ranges react to what bets where. A good idea is to create a notepad doc a be gathering interesting hands in there. Also a good way to practice ur betsizing is this: whenever u have a very strong hand and u bet R and they fold (in a bigger pot), mark it! After the session think abt what he folded and remember to use this betsizing with bluffs. On the other hand- think abt what u should have bet to get called. Unless u play agains extreeeeemely good plrs (NL1k+) they will be confused abt betsizing and make angry calls more often than not even when knowing that they are beat. Bets like 1/5 of pot etc in spot u cannot get called anyway earn u LOT of edge in the longrun.
Similarly: when u bluff and get hcalled wider than u would think, u abs need to mark this and think abt widing ur value ranges in that spot vs similar types of opponents.

Ticked. Thx a lot, I will think about it.

btw: Do you think I should go for tighter brm for moving up to nl200 or is 30bi ok?

TheLastNail

i would say start shooting w 30 BI, but tableselect well, become a reg @ ~50BI. Meaning dont play below, NL100&200 are lims which are quite different in agression and playing NL100 will longrun be spoiling ur game. The same for NL200vs400. During my times, this was for me the most notable difference between two successive lims. Now 100vs200 might be bigger coz of the progress of the games. Once u establish urself on 400 u can sucessfully mix in pretty much anything 400-1k with a proper br, even 2k, just some marginal spots are understood better by regs, but principally PF and F agressions are fairly similar.

Things seem pretty fine on 100NL so far, I am up quite a bit, also have positive NSDW after 5k hands so pretty happy with that. The field doesnt seem much better than NL50, just fewer fish a bit more lag-spewtards and some good regs.

Here not sure how to play the turn, their flop calling ranges shouldnt be too wide (SB is a fish, BB regular), but if i pot control the turn I cant really call a river bet can I? Also not sure about the sizing, since its 3 way i rep so much strength anyway so maybe I could bet much smaller.

2nd one is against a regular, he is stealing from the sb waaay too much(60%) and I like to punish these people- basicly I 3bet anything unplayable and call anything playable. He calls my 3bet oop-I flop a gs but when people call like this oop I think they are a) almost never folding a pair on the flop b)if they have air they will bluff c/r very often. So I decide to cback and maybe try to bluff some good turns/rivers because I dont think he will expect me to bluff here(I think I can rep AK,AQ by checking back the flop). I think the hand is played reasonably but not sure if the way I defend against these loose sb openers is good, bc I can easily get into tough spots postflop with crappy hands.

I've got a similiar approach (although smts i find a piece of discipline inside me and fold some crap) and i think it's pretty succesful for one more reason you didn't mention - on my level (party NL50), there are still many regs who call 3bets oop very widely and still fold to a lot of cbets, even on very dry boards. But it's very opponent-dependent obv.

MP is a TAG, BTN is a more LAGy russian guy(i have quite some history with him, he is pretty spewy and not believing, but also seen some vgood plays by him), BB is TAG with a squeeze stat of 10%(reasonable sample). I call my tens with the intention to setmine+if BB squeezes I reship on him. BB indeed does squeeze, but BU 4bets in a way he commites himself. Now I def think I am far far ahead of BU range who is thinking that BB is just squeezing way too much, he will almost never have a strong hand here since he is very agressive and takes every oportunity to 3b/4b. Also I think BB range is pretty wide, also some value hands in it but I think with all the dead money I have to overpush my pocket tens here, its just a too good spot to fold.

I tried to make a calculation:

Equity Win Tie
Hero 43.34% 42.54% 0.79% TdTh
BU 21.64% 20.76% 0.89% TT-22, QdQc, JdJs, JdJc, AQs, KQs, AQo
BB 35.02% 34.13% 0.89% TT+, 33-22, AQs+, 87s, 76s, AQo+, A7o-A6o

I think BU is almost never slowplaying a big hand preflop(I played quite some hands vs him) so I gave him a classical call/4bet squeeze range. Also added 2 combos of JJ and 1 of QQ but I think even that is too pesimistic.
I gave BB a classical value range plus 2 suited connectors,2 crappy aces and 2 small pp, I think thats reasonable.
Against these ranges and all the dead money I just cant fold imo.
(results-BU had KQs, BB had AKo)

This hand is vs the guy who was BU in hand 1. I felt rly ashamed for calling the river c/r and I think its bad play from my side(ignoring the results).
We were both pretty agro in the past so I decided to not cbet this flop, I think he would make a move very often bc he thinks it doesnt hit my range. I turn an ace, but I decide to check it back bc my hand looks so much like A high if I bet here and I think he knows that. On the river I go for pot to look like a bluff and get called by whatever pair he has-I think he has sd value bc he would def. stab at the pot if he had air. I get c/r and I think this is just an easy fold-given my read I doubt he is going to c/r bluff with some mid pair-why would he do that if he thinks I am bluffing? So ye hate my call there.(he showed up with pocket T, pretty wierd)

But it's very opponent-dependent obv.

Yeah I think its ok and at least gives them a hard time and builds up some agro image even though it might be slightly -EV or breakeven in certain spots. I dont rly like to 3bet people who dont fold, I rather exploit it by valuetowning them when I do have a hand. But if they fold to a ton of cbets its def. fine, I just feel that when people call 3b oop they are willing to make a move very often(and should be imo, bc the call itself mostly cant be profitable)

Report coming :) so far I am up almost 10BI on NL100, running ok(not bad not godmode).
Anyway I watched a few videos from Somnius today and then sat down at the tables-lost 3,5 BI in the first 10 hands pretty epic. Managed to get into the green afterwards, think I played ok, made 1 big mistake though and I think I could have played some spots much much better.

Some hands as always:

Cassava Poker $0.50/$1 No Limit Hold'em - 4 players - View hand 1308875

CO: $253.05
BTN: $101.00
SB: $133.58
Hero (BB): $112.14

Pre Flop: ($1.50) Hero is BB with Q :spade: J :club:
1 fold, BTN raises to $2.62, 1 fold, Hero calls $1.62

Flop: ($5.74) J :diamond: 9 :diamond: Q :club: (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $4.30, Hero raises to $15, BTN calls $10.70

Turn: ($35.74) 2 :diamond: (2 players)
Hero bets $24, BTN calls $24

River: ($83.74) 3 :club: (2 players)
Hero bets $70.52, BTN calls $59.38 all in

Villain is LAG(31/27 very agro on every street). We did have some history so I thought I could thinly valueshove the river and get called by worse 2 pair, OP. Sets hes 3b the flop since there are a lot of draws out there. I know he does def. have some flushes also so im not sure about the ship, but I cant really c/c the river, its either ship or c/f imo.

Pre Flop: ($1.50) Hero is SB with J  K :diamond:
1 fold, BTN calls $1, Hero raises to $5, 1 fold, BTN calls $4

Flop: ($11.00) Q :club: 9 :club: T :diamond: (2 players)
Hero bets $8, BTN calls $8

Turn: ($27.00) 7 :club: (2 players)
Hero bets $19, BTN calls $19

River: ($65.00) 9  (2 players)
Hero bets $35, BTN calls $35

Villain fish(38/3, pretty agro postflop) I think I misplayed this terribly, I should be bombing the flop and the turn and just shipping any river. The thing is I got a bit scared of the flush(which is nonsense bc its such a small part of his range). If he raised the turn I was folding, bc he has the flush 100%, on the river I bet a bit smaller with the intention to b/f. I did get called by worse in the end, but dont like it.
Ideal line should be smthng like : flop 10 turn 25 and just ship the river. Missed a lot of value here.
