So I started on Party Poker with no knowledge of the site or the players styles within it.
I scanned for some cheap mtts to enter and going with the flow entered a freeroll plo8, $9 and 6$ buy in seeing if i could strike gold early.
Nothing along the lines of good BR management but a "cheeky gamble."
Only I found out that it was not me gambling but other players.
Was on the receiving end of some lets more than dubious calls.
I was in the BB with Ak and several late limpers.
Obvious play was to "squeeze" only to get called down by A5 off to an all in.
You dont need to know the rest.
This happened in each tournament, I was completely satisfied with each and every play I made only getting my chips in good was never enough.
Still I'm sure the benefactors will still carry on playing those marginal hands in the future with no success.
So having had my nose rubbed in it decided to go back to square 1 and play within my roll.
NL2 NL4.....which proved +EV after only 250 hands a recovery from my mtt exploits so today is a life balance day for me, a round of golf then back to pokerstars for probably 3 tourneys and a little soft 1/2 8 game cash.
I am looking forward to Sunday when I will mix the start of the SCOOP with my BR build on PartyPoker.

What is it with people with KQ playing it like it was the nuts. Especially to all ins.

Oh dear in an 11$ into the 109 Sunday Kick off in a smelly spot 7 seats and I'm 11/15. There was initially 77runners
omg everyone folds small blind shoves into my bb with half my stack 9s v my k10 hearts grrrrrr back to 9/9 struggling 2bb
shoved K/9 off evry1 folds to bb who calls with 4s and I go out 9th.
PIG SICK.....the 1 hand kills me
Well it can only be said yesterday turned into a disaster...

Well last minute decision made to play in the $16.50 HU SCOOP
Dispatched of my 1st opponent within 10 mins which will give a welcome break as HU will prove to be mentally tiring.
Will play the 11$ later and maybes the 109$ really depends on how i feel.
Its quite a late start UK time and with my kids waking me up 6am every morning means sleep is a premium and I dont get much. ♠_biggrin:

Unfortunately, having had my opponent dominated in several instances...ie 2pr on flop and us both having top pr my hand got counterfeited more than once to split the pot which proved a bit sick.
But the crucial hand comes when I 3 bet after button raise and get called.
1 over card comes on the flop with 2 diamonds when I have 10s with a diamond.
I C-Bet the flop as I have to consider the 1/8 chance of him flopping a pair and get re raised all in. I have him covered so deliberated the odds and his hand range and felt I was obliged to call.
Even though the turn brought me extra outs his K9 held up.
Another exit.
I know in my heart of hearts that its mainly a case of the cards running against me at crucial times, but as long as I have a hole in my butt I will get something out of this SCOOP series.
Got to stay positive and maybes avoid MANIACS even if i think I have the best hand, especially after last night
Ok like the typical "tight wad" I played a $4 36 man sat for SCOOP#10L STUD.
Happy Days finished as chip leader with 4 entries in...So here goes ♠_biggrin:
Ok on 2nd break just lost last hand for 2k my KK starting hand vs all in gets beaten by his 88 when he prs queens as well but still have 10k and the average is 8k
Think I just flushed my brain down the toilet. Nature called and then I have a moment of madness D'OH
3rd break SCOOP#10l STUD
10.5k 1 calamity and 1 sicko when my 2pr on 4th got beat by a 7th catch
which was expensive as I was on 17k and 3 bet 4th street @1200 blinds.
but managed a mini recovery to end up where I am.
Hours are flying by just got to play some solid STUD knowing 1 hand is critical. ♠_biggrin:
