Well I made a pretty good start doubled my starting stack in the first hour in spite of having a Russian to my left playin "typical Russian" poker any 2 will do.
Well thats just the way I like it.
Be warned I relish that arena...and am looking forward to taking him on.
I'm sure he will be wary of me having lost the last hand b4 the break. _biggrin:
Feeling good

Oh dear another cash miss. Spent the most vital hour card dead.
And when i say CARD DEAD .......I MEAN DEAD.
The best hand i had was 10/j o UTG+1.....does that say it all?
Until I finally fell with AT s in BB v AQs _frown:

Oh well, not a lot I can do there but get my head back down on the SCOOP14 PLO8. _biggrin:

Well I been up and down like a prossies pair of knickers.
Born out of frustration of me deciding to fold 2 hands to grab a snack.
Really annoying as I see my cards come in when I had ample value in calling each 1.
Head bash in break and stop playing like a CLOWN

My beautiful run continues....
I make nut flush on turn v 4/6 flush.. with lo draw only to be rivered to a FH.
In a 3 way pot which would have seen me fine and dandy, but my incredible recent run doesnt seem like letting up.
Friday the 13th Johnnys nightmares.
Out Now

Do I have to put myself through SCOOP#15?

As crazy as it may seem I have never used any software other than "opr" for use in poker if u can even include this.
My poker "career" is only 2yrs old in my eyes, I am still wet around the ears and trying to absorb my worldly surroundings.
I have relative success @mtts as you can probably see if u have already clicked my opr link, but do i know anything well thats open to debate.

With more of an mtt basis, I have rarely ventured into the world of NLHE so as part of my learning curve and for some light relief from "5+hr tourneys" I am taking my first little steps into NL cash.

I have downloaded Elephant, can understand the graphs but I am no Russell Crowe "beautiful mind" and havent got the foggiest idea what these new found digits appearing on my screen represent?

I am thoroughly enjoying the forum, the people, the quest for knowledge, the NL2/4 grind.
I have noticed some obvious leaks already but would dearly love some feedback on these new found digits appearing at my table.

I plan to finish the SCOOP series and create a masterplan for the months after, which will be big crazy and well worth the follow.

Please reply if you can assist me on these digits

Its been a real eye opener being part of this forum which is leading me to make some radical decisions about what I do from here.
I was made redundant back in December, with a family of 4 girls (eek) and the eldest only being 5, recent months have been a bit of a strain.
Mainly on the coffers so to speak.
So maybes its the right time to look long term.

It would seem that my best option may be to go along the lines of Tim64 and play bulk SNGs/ obvious plusses is the variance factor.
Starting with 100 buy ins at a certain level and going from there.
I'm pretty sure I'm in the right place to embark on this new line.

I will look to split my time on certain days to play mtts so hopefully find the balance I need to make a wage, build a new roll, and get to where I'm going.

Now all I have to do is decide what level to start from.
Hopefully get some advice on time management/ and some views on what would be a more effective plan

Its back to the best day of the week, SUNDAY.
My kids are up as early as ever 6am, why does it take them so long to understand TIME?
Its a glorious day in the UK, sun is shining which seems to be the norm following 7 weeks of great weather.
Hard to believe huh?

My week as has been poor poker wise. Break Even thanks to 8game cash
But any downswing, bad run is put into Perspective today.

As you now know I have a very young family.
I used to see my friends wife with her 2yr olds @ nursery school on a daily basis doing the school run.
Until suddenly there was no sight of either.
It didnt take long to catch wind that this 20 something Mother of two was diagnosed with Cancer.
Bad back 1 minute terminal Cancer the next.
So today is the Lianne Webber Memorial Day. I will be playing in a Charity Soccer Match @ Bracknell Town FC to raise money for her kids future.

I intend once the Soccer has finished to play in the SCOOP#19/20L and donate any winnings to the family

So although this sobering it really puts into Perspective anything else that may be going on in your life.

Sunday was fantastic, A great turnout for a fantastic cause.
And 1-0 victory to boot.
Seeing old faces meant the bar was buzzing afterwards, and the beer flowed.
Well lets say the beer flowed and flowed with many of us moving on to another local bar and before I know it......its closing time.

Safe to say, I wasnt so fit yesterday which meant I was not going to entertain any poker.
Thankfully its Tuesday now and all I have to worry about is a few aching limbs and what do I really want to play?
Looking @ the SCOOP schedule my target tournaments are really in the HORSE and 8 GAME for the time being.
But project Volume SNG looks really inviting. 50 a day easy.
Sell half my action goes through my mind as I start @ $3 9/10 man on stars or the inviting $5.24 turbos.
I have no doubt in my mind that I probably should have done this a long time ago.

So far I have played 28 and showing +EV and will post some graphs on reaching 50.
Just breaking it up playing in the SCOOP Stud8L.
And will look to complete 50 today.

I got to 40+ sngs which I didnt think was too bad under the circumstances late start and little venture into SCOOP.

I ended +6 BI but was more happy with learning side of what my time management was going to entail.

Note to self:
Early Start
Breaks
Distractions (Mrs talking)
Fatigue

I know I ended up losing a few BI to the above factors.
So its now a case of creating a regime.

Min of 8 SNGS/ hr is easily achievable.
The plan is in place, all I need now is some legal advice in sorting out a crazy issue regarding my Grand Voyager and a garage, and I will be all systems go.

I have spent the last few hours reading through the SSS strategies.
Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Then its left me wondering.
1.
Why have I spent hours absorbing information @ a discipline I am most weak at and play the least? I really want to change that

2.
Shouldn't I have spent my time focused on the area I am embarking on?
Like SNGS because I want to "bread and butter" earn

3.
Would I be better further improving my mtt skills? Where my success has been

Can i start getting my pokerstars action in the form of strategy points?
because I want access to the Gold+ articles

CONCLUSION:

I feel like a dog with a bone.
Hungry for more information, wanting to improve, wanting to WIN.
Time spent learning cant be BAD TIME.
Just need somebody to give me more hours in the day
