with all these training sites all around, what would happen if everyone "knows" how to play poker already up to a point that even the $2 180 mans is filled with 180 regular high-skilled players.
That'll never happen. Some people will always want to play Poker casually and not want to study their game, especially at the stakes where plenty of people can lose money consistently and write it off as entertainment.
I don't really look at my EV(haven't done so for bit more than a month ), it doesn't really matter, cause it's really inacurate But since you asked, here's my EV:
It's with FTP data too(~100k hands). And includes all MTTs/Sngs i've been playing
Wow this is a really nice EV..... v nice.
could also post your non showdown winnings and showdown winnings? I am v curious cause I think my FT account is rigged....LOL

I agree, it's actually possible that the games could become unbeatable if there would be too many regs, but lots of them are weak and easily exploitable, so it's nothing to worry about And also, high-skilled players won't go down to 2$ limit, because of small $/game there
Thanks.
So you are basically running around EV on SD. Very nice... I'm running way below at around 25% of EV. I am however surprised about your non SD which seems v small to me. I am at 3mil+ in only 65k hands. This is my main source of chips basically (almost the only one ♦).
Anyway GL at the tables and with the prop bet.
i consider switching to 45/90mans, what did you play at micros ? turbos or regural ? which are more profitable and why ?
P.S gl at propbet! you'll rock
Hey
I started at 0,25$ 45mans regular speed and after them i moved to 1,1$ turbo 45mans. Turbo games are more profitable imo. Your ROI will obv be lower on turbos than at reg speeds cause of smaller edge, but turbos finish way faster and that gives us better $/hour income
Probs will be quite a long post so hit the play button
So, at first i'll say that my plan to go to beach party this weekend didn't work-out Kinda sad, even tho the weather isn't good today, it would have been soooo cool to go there, probs will just have to wait a bit and go there later, asap obv
Went to movie today(Hangover Part II), had a lot of fun there Tho, not much else going on this weekend, feeling too lazy to go to the "G-Stars" club, but maybe maybe
Decided to get some books today. Ordered "Peak Poker Performance" from Pokerstars store, bought "Poker Winners Are Different" e-book(amazon seemed too expensive, sucks that ebook is protected and i can't print it ), printed out "Elements of Poker" and "The Poker Mindset" and will order "The Mental Game Of Poker" That's 5 books lol, won't take too long to read them, usually if it's interesting, i finish it fast Just need to make a queue, so i know which one to read 1st
My poker life: haven't played yday, cause been shopping and it took waaayyy longer than i thought it will took a friend with me to not get bored and well, we actually been shopping only ~1,5-2 hours while we were out for a total of 7 hours :f_biggrin:
Haven't played today eiher, cause of movie
I guess the song haven't finished, reading is waay faster than writing, but just found another one
That's how i'm going since March 1st. Now wtf is that??? 4,4k sngs in 3 months??? Ok, SCOOP was going for 2 weeks, so that leaves 2,5 month for sngs. Normal volume = ~3k sngs/month. That's not what i'm expecting from myself, i'm a pro, i have goals to reach, i can't let this continue
Also, my game is not good currently, it's not that i would play bad, but i'm lazy during sessions and instead of using fancy +EV plays, i just make std plays which are not that great EV-wise as fancy ones. That gotta change.
I don't really care about my results, i lost some moneyz, but w/e. The problem is that i'm lacking discipline. I just sometimes randomly decide that i don't wanna play and spend the rest of the day doing nothing worth doing. And it's not the days when i'm tired or in any other -EV shape. Poker is my job and my attitude is not professional Gonna start working on that, there are things i really need to change, not only in poker, but in real life too. It's time to start working on those things before it's too late and start living awesome balla life
Lol, it actually might take some time until i really start changing something Video series "Shuffle and Flow" seems as a good advisor(at least as much as i understood from description) and since "shuffle and flow" supplements same authors' book "Peak Performance Poker", i might wait till i get the book The plan is to see some positive changes in the end of the summer
Not much to say, sucks But well, SCOOP ran for two weeks and so i only played some MTTs in that time(~110 games only in those two weeks ).
The Prop Bet
Lost Here's my avatar for the rest of June:
Played only 5 days of 14, cause been "busy" irl, opp played 6 days and almost 2x more games, so i kinda deserve it Felt quite motivational, so will probably do it more often
The Prop Bet #2
So, yesterday checked lithuanian poker forum and realized that more than a week ago, i decided to take part in 180man prop bet vs other lithuanians Time frame is June 1st - June 16th, so quite funny when you remember about it in the middle lol. I'm in for 2$ 8$ and 3r limits. The one with best profits wins. At 2$ limit 1st gets 140$, 2nd 60$. At 8$ and 3r winner gets 75$ from every participant in that limit. I won't play 3rs tho(reasons in next paragraph), but i will need to pay for the winner, cause i'm already in ♦ Tho, i expect to ship 2s, guy who played most games has only ~360 games after 8 days, which is LOL
Bankroll Management
Recently i realized that i suck at it I have been playing underrolled quite much and so now i have to move down and will be playing 2,5$ and 8$ 180mans only. I'm quite happy with the amount of money i can make at these limits, especially knowing that risk of going busto is too big for me if i play higher limits(well, 3rs would be borderline, but i'll wait a bit ) When someone asks me what BRM i use, i always say: 500 BI, but well, i realized that i don't use BRM, i just play because i have money i better stop doing that
The Challenge
Well, i have only ~2,5 months left, and i would need to win ~50k$ to complete it, seems kinda undoable, so i'll just revert it to simple goal as it was when i started Should achieve it till next summer(hopefully i won't have to postpone it again ). It doesn't make me sad, better later than never
PLO
The more i play, the more i love it Even tho, i'm still a fish there, but it's a really cool game(and i think cash overall is way more fun than sngs). Sngs are just too automatic, while in PLO i need to do some brain work and that brings me the enjoyment I'm tilting sometimes tho, but not cause of suckouts or smtg, but because of spots where i'm totally lost ♦ Hate when i don't even imagine what to do ♦ But i really want to switch to it asap. I might even start learning NLHE when i reach midstakes PLO
Here's PLO25 graph so far:

Cash Games
As i just said, i already like cash games. The problem i used to have is being afraid of postflop play, but i'm not afraid anymore I'm even thinking maybe i should start playing pretty much ABC poker at NL50 to make some money, while studying PLO, what do you guys think? I could play rush to get better volume and not care much about improving, cause the plan would be to learn PLO and only earn some money at NL. I do have rakeback at FTP and it's tracked to PS.com, so i could get Platinum+ status and so get access to better PLO content later when i would need it. I wonder what winrates are achievable at NL50 rush and how big RB i should expect, any1 has an idea?
June so far
June 1st-3rd drinkaments had really great time, looking forward for some more action( i obv expect it to happen this month ) It gets quite expensive when i think about it, but who cares, cool party action > money
June 4th: hangover
June 5th: PLO evening
June 6th: Movie evening, if i remember correctly, the movie was X-Men, not that much of fun
June 7th: PLO
June 8th: MT Sngs + PLO
It's kinda difficult to play a lot these days, it's so freakin hot, that i can't focus normally +30 C is not a temperature i like to work at Today seems better tho, it's still hot, but there's some wind, so most likely will do a nice MT Sngs session Was thinking about starting super early, but got some stuff to do bit later, so will start at normal time
Well, nothing else comes to my mind now, so i'll end here, took me ~1 hour to write this, hopefully it wasn't super boring read
imo you should try grinding some mtts, you would crush themwith your skills and sick multi tabling skills. + there are wayyy less regs, at least up to midstackes
Wow, haven't updated for a whole month Not that much have been going on, probs the most exciting thing that happened was me being close to busto Yea, you read that right, i was down to ~320$ Well, but that wouldn't have hurt much, i still have some money invested in few people So, when i realized that i'm so short, i decided to start playing 45mans only, after 3 days and 600 games i doubled my BR, did some math and realized(again) that there are way more money at 180mans ♦ So now i'm back at them, done 4 sessions, 480 games total +400ish and now my BR is a bit over 1,000$ and if things don't go wrong i should be @ 8/180 soon Here's the rebuilding graph:
Spoiler
As i said, first 600 games are 1,5$ and 3,5$ 45mans, the rest are 2,5$ 180s
June was another bad month volume-wise, so i'm not going to review it, but here's
♠_cool:Mid-year review♠_cool:
Let's start with a graph:
Spoiler
Over 12k games might look sick, but no, it's not. Could have been way more, because in last 3 months i played only 3k games
I guess you're wondering how the fuck did i manage to lose 9k$ @ stars? Well, let's begin with 1st 3k$ straight downer, try playing every 180man and 45man @ 7+$ stakes that runs and you will probs get overwhelmed with all the tables running Yea, i wasn't ready to 50-60 table lol. The next small downer and b/e strech happened because i've been playing too many high stakes MTTs and 180man winnings were able to keep me only b/e. And the final 4k downer happened for the same reasons, but i ran bad at 180mans too
After that i started playing some cash games, played ~14k hands @ PLO25(-560$, EV -384$ lol) and ~8,8k hands @ NL50 Rush(-376$. EV -434$). Kinda done with them at least for a few months now
The funny thing is that now, money-wise, i'm pretty much at same place as i was 6 months ago(have like 1k$ more than i did lol), mostly because i had to pay A LOT to my coach + spewing money everywhere irl
But i can't say that i'm unhappy about last 6 months, i gained shitloads of experience in poker strategies, psychological part, money management and some other things too. So even if i have same amount of $, i'm way better now and i'm very excited about what the future will bring
One more thing, i have to make quite a big decision in the next two weeks(deadline: July 22nd). Since i quit uni last year(just after starting 2nd term), now i have to decide if i want to start studying this year or play poker professionally for one more year. Most likely i'll choose poker. Definitely not because i would think that it's not worth to study or smtg, but because i can't be sure of poker future and so i better use my chance to make lots of money now. And playing poker while studying @ uni, doesn't seem such a good option to me, because i will either lack time for poker or uni, ofc they are compatible, but i want to have a life too ♠_rolleyes: So yea, most likely i'll start studying next year
