A ton of interesting hands from today(some I think missplayed badly). I guess it might be boring to read but it helps me a lot to think over some situations.

UTG: $35.90
MP: $64.11
Hero (CO): $101.50
BTN: $103.50
SB: $129.08
BB: $43.68

Pre Flop: ($1.50) Hero is CO with T :diamond: A :spade:
UTG calls $1, 1 fold, Hero raises to $4, 1 fold, SB calls $3.50, 1 fold, UTG calls $3

Flop: ($13.00) 2  Q :diamond: 3 :spade: (3 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $8, SB calls $8, UTG folds

Turn: ($29.00) K  (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $18, SB calls $18

River: ($65.00) 3  (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $71.50, SB calls $71.50

Cbet is standard here-I thought his flop peeling range was Qx, sets and a few TT,99 type hands so I barrel here. On the river Im not sure if the shove is +EV. I had a note on him that he raises the turn with sets so I didnt think he could have a set esp since the board was getting drawy on the turn, also I can get him to fold QJs, QTs,AQ and maybe even KQ bc he now doesnt beat AA. Might be spew though have to do the math on it.

CO: $100.00

Hero (MP): $107.48

Pre Flop: ($1.50) Hero is MP with K  J :diamond:
1 fold, Hero raises to $3, 3 folds, BB calls $2

Flop: ($6.50) 9 :club: 2  Q :club: (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $4, BB calls $4

Turn: ($14.50) 5 :diamond: (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $10, BB calls $10

River: ($34.50) 7 :spade: (2 players)
BB bets $19, Hero raises to $90.48, BB folds

Villain is a rather wierd regular(25/19 saw him doing some wierd stuff). I go for the barrel x3 bc his range for c/c here is capped. On the river he donks a bit over 1/2 pot-I just cant see him having the nuts here- tbh I dont have an exact range I put him on doing this, but though it might be some missed draw, thin valuebet or just a blocking bet with some 1pair hand. He never has the nuts here, he would def. raise flop/turn so a shove should be ok.

Turn: ($15.00) A :diamond: (2 players)

River: ($15.00) K :spade: (2 players)

Villain regular- not sure if the river bet is profitable, I just felt I could rep it and get some folds from some low pairs. Also doubt I am ever good at showdown with my hand.

Both villains here are on the fishier side, I think the fold is the best play, question is what to do on a blank river if both of them call again. I shouldnt be ahead that often...

Now this1 I messed up bigtime, maybe was bc it was the last hand of the session and I wasnt paying too much attention but yeah good excuse there.
The reason I flat is bc BB is a 60/10 fish, PFA is a regular. Not sure what to do on the flop/turn: I dont like c/r flop bc I overrep my hand and also want to keep all worse FD in, also if I get called and miss I wont be able to barrel the turn vs the fish w/o commiting myself. On the turn I rly hate my call, we are deep with UTG but hes a regular and I dont expect to get stacks in on the river if he has like AK. An option might be to c/r small on the turn to look incredibly strong but then the fishy guy isnt folding if he has any piece of the board so I dont like that either. So the turn is a fold as played. Ofc there are a lot of other options like donking the flop or c/c and donking the turn..

Watched a ton of 5/10 videos on CR, ofc its a much higher level of play but got some interesting ideas even for the lower limits.

Hand1) Weee, I tought u how to spew But IMO WP
h2) NH
h3)U will get a call hellofva lot
H5) as played ch/f T 4sure
Donk might be good cause u rep some strength so regs should call jsut w KX or FD or if they ahve set they will let u know, Q is what to do on the T ch/f might be an option cause he may not buff the T w his FD so he will bet jsut his KX and chbeh FD -> u can get to showdown w best hand or u get another chacne to over-nut him
-2nd barrel and give up will deffo be a spew
-3barrel might work vs a good opponent that likes to hero-fold but on that u will have to have a good read (and ofc if its 3way jsut give up and hope for a free card)

And PF WP, u wanna play pot w a fish

in the QT hand I might want to overbet to like 22, bc he is practically face up here with some pocketpair.

+1 on what you wrote, the AJs is played terribly I dont have the implieds to call there at all. What I might like more is triple barreling(only incase the fish folds the turn). I dont need so much FE because I have a lot of equity anyway, also an A might be good and I should be able to fold out Kx if the regular has it. For the future I need to balance these multiway pots, maybe not having a c/r range at all and just donking or c/c everything(unless there is some fish in the pot).

I deffo agree w donking in multiway pots vs regs. its a lot easier to balance.
However, there are deffo some spots where I would consider ch/c (not ch/r) just to get more dead money in

Have to show off this hand The turn c/r is the only way to get stacks in at this point(if he has anything) and also I look so air/draw heavy. He snaps it off with A9.

@Thazar -hope ur not ironic :) could have raised a little bit more on the turn so I shove the river for 2/3 but it probably doesnt make much difference.

Today I played quite a bit, but was maybe slightly too spewy. Also played some NL50 HU cash, made 2BI from a reg, told him I have to go buy some ice cream now and left. 1 hand from today:

Here i try to rep a flush and make him fold top pair, also not sure if its not spewy. He had the flush so that was bad luck, but dunno if I like it. At least I know what his wierdish small turnbet means now.

i dont think u can rep a flush very well here, im not sure what suited hands u call on the flop i guess Qxs maybe

yeah I rep a rather narrow range- 66,77,88, Qd9d-QdKd,AdXd. But still puts him under pressure if he has Qx(which is the big majority of his range here). Actually what made me do it was his turn bet sizing-like he never has a nut hand beting this size...

No I seriously like your sizing, so you get the near perfect PSB on the river. wp

UTG: $100.00

River: ($58.50) 6 :spade: (2 players)

Villain decent thinking TAG, I think he recognizes that my range is capped so he barrels 3times. The point about this hand is-how wide should I be calling this down? J2o and QQ is the same hand on the river pretty much.

Another spot I hate being in. The question here is-check behind or bet to take it down? I dont think I am geting called/raised by worse value hands but if I cback I give him a chance to hit his OC. Also I dont know how to react to a c/r. If I am folding to a c/r I should consider my 99 as air in this spot.

Villain is a wierd TAG(pretty passive and nitty) 25/19, 3bet 3%. I just didnt know what to do here so I chose the safer path. Problem is I dont expect him to ever barrel air in a 3bet pot on the turn-and his value range crushes me here. Also if I call the turn I have to call the river, so Im risking my entire stack in a spot where I dont think I should be good too often. Ye he might be barrelling OC with picked up club draw, but thats just like AcKc,AcQc all other hands have me crushed.

Here also big question mark- I thought c/ship was better than bet/call bc he might still bet/Fold some hands(villain here is what seems a fishy rather agro guy-didnt have a reasonable sample on him), ofc c/f is still an option but thats probably weak vs him.

Anyway, my plan was to start with NL200 June 1, after a minor downswing I had during May I dont quite have the bankroll for that so I hope I can get there asap, hopefully next week. My plan is to play 3x1,5h sessions every day.

hi

what does 'chbeh' mean?

about the AJs hand: i don't see why you think you don't ahve the implieds to call. I'd say on average you're getting about 3:1 on the turn (fish will usually call) and when you hit on the river you'll easily get enough for 4:1 or so

another thing: can you explain the idea that you shouldn't over-rep your AJs by C/Ring?

Hello sir,
chbeh means check back, Its in a wierd language I learnt from THESHade :) no srsly I just have to learn where all the letters are located on the keyboard :)

About the AJ hand- c/r I dont like for these reasons:
a)I dont know what to do against a 3bet
b)I rly want to keep weaker flush draws in
c)The fish doesnt care about what Im reping , If he has anything he just calls, so if I miss on the turn I will be in an awkward spot with 0 FE.

On the turn-I dont think I can count on any implieds at all from the regular, given how the hand played out he has to know 1 of us has the FD very very often. Also I have to fold if the fish comes over the top.

Ofc open to any discussion this is just my opinion :)

@ AJ hand

PF: I like the call pre because of the fish in BB indeed
Flop: again with the fish that will call it's a C/C to me, fish gives us great odds and also on later street. We want to keep the fish in. Without the fish I like C/R
Turn:I think it depends on the fish if he is passive or a bit aagro, vs passive one I call you are getting 3.5/1 and when u hit on the river and the fish has also a FD it makes up for the difference. If you think that the fish could go over the top it's a fold (have you seen him small donking like this before or any reads that makes you think he is strong here?)

Made a few emotion-based decisions today, upset with myself that I still cant handle some situations 100% rationally. Despite my bad play finished up quite a bit. As usual some funky hands.

My plan for this hand was to barrel overcards, but that turn was one of the worst, so I decide to c/f. After he bets 8,5 into 17 I just HAD to raise him bc he is never doing this with a flush(villain is some kind of tight wierd guy 21/9). Was jaming every nonclub river. I would also play my flushes like this from time to time(esp vs people who are going to float a lot).

Villain seems to be a TAG after 50 hands, so I think this is a pretty easy triple barrel to make him fold out Ax. Funny thing is that he calls me down with KT. After I played more with him, he did wave ok preflop stats but WTSD 45(sample not huge-350 hands, but still). I have to stop doing these things vs relative unknowns, rly deserved to loose this1.

Playing very bad lately. Spewed so many chips/leveling myself into totally BS moves that only might be +EV if I was playing against myself/ Hateing to fold bc I can always turn my hand into a bluff has cost me so much money already.

Pretty frustrated that im not totally crushing those guys, cos the limit on my site is incredibly soft. Also running extremely bad the last few days, that doesnt really help my play either. Bankroll at 4,5k atm, according to my plans I am supposed to be playing NL200 now and not fooling around. But I can only blame myself for this shit.

Recently my friend sent me an interview with a NL5k player and he said he uses a BRM where he has a stoploss of 4BI for the given limit and moves down a limit everytime he loses those 4BI. Everytime he makes 8BI at a limit he moves up. I am going to try this out for a while(see ya at NL2) just to gain confidence and also not concentrate on the money im winning/loosing. Hope I dont spew too much cos NL50 and below seems like play money. Contradiction detected.

Hey, thanks :) I know I am beating the limit(up 1k in the last 14 days) but I just did so much BS stuff lately. Really frustrates me when I outlevel myself. One example: I have direct position on a 50/20 fish- the guy sometimes raises to 2x and sometimes to 4x depending on his hand strength. So I was 3beting his 2x raise every single time and he folded. After a while he opened 2x again, I 3bet and BB who was a regular cold 4bet(I had 99). Now what I thought is he should never have a value hand here-why would he 4bet that just doesnt make any sense, so I came to a conclusion that he noticed what I was doing so I 5bet all-in, ofc snapcall and he shows KK and im like @#$%^&*%$&@##&$*%(%$.

So I said enough-I was breakeven at NL100 for 5 days now, which is pretty horrible considering how soft it is. And I know its not just variance I did some very bad stuff.

Yesterday I created a a document on google docs and analysed hands from 1am to 7am. Went through all possible scenarios and did the math on it. Today I watched 2 videos on CR of hand history reviewing and also the new diamond vid from Leatherass9(very epic hand vs SlovakPsycho where he donks quads 3way). After that started to play a 1,5h session, I felt like I played the best poker I ever played, felt so confident in everything, such a good feeling.

Pretty pointless posting a session graph, but I just feel so happy about my play after a long, long time.

Will try to post some hands later today.
