cheers guys
I really really think it's doable. If not then I haven't worked hard enough
I couldn't resist but to open some NL50 tabs yesterday. I played only 2 for half an hour and added a third for another half hour with full focus. It resulted in 300 hands and +30€.
Felt sooo good to be playing it again. I really think June will be a great month. I did notice quite a significant change in aggression among many regs (most on NL25 are passive and tight), but I think with help from Pontus I will be adjusting to that in no-time too. Could have been variance too, but meh. We'll see

Something cool happened yesterday. I was offered to "guest host" a private coaching.
At first I was like oh wow no. There were 3 NL50-players who were gonna get coached because they have problems with beating it/moving up in limits or so. I thought like, well... I'm probably no better than they are... what if they think i'm a fish and laugh at me? ♠_confused:
But then I decided not to leat fear get in my way of such an oppertunity, so I accepted the offer. God I was so nervous.
The very second I opened the tables, coach attacks me with a question. He was playing NL100 and got faced with a squeeze. He was like "vonki, what would you do here and why?". I was like damnit. I will look so silly if I am wrong here.
But I told him since I just opened the table I have no information on the players so I never see calling as an option with Q9, which leaves us with the options to either bluff or fold. And given I don't have any information on them, I always prefer a fold here.
Got out of that one in one piece. ♠_biggrin:
As the coaching went on he asked for my opinion in several spots, and asked me why the turncard is the worst in the deck and a bunch of other questions. I also made some remarks on his play (which he then agreed with that my suggestion was better then the way he had played it, esp given me mistook position in 2 hands) and found myself not messing up at all.
I was very pleased and proud to hear the comment "I'm surprised you're not playig higher". I asked him after the coaching why that was, and he answered my analysis were quite good. Yeeey!
I am really convived that my game has developed, especially the handreading part and the ability of actively thinking of what's going on in the hand. I still have a long way to go, but I can def feel my game is improving.
I feel very very happy
Keep on working people, and we will reach the stars!

Nice idea on the lockdown, i'm planning on a poker lockdown myself when I have finished exams ♦ Staying in my Uni flat, with my flatmates away and playing/studying poker for 2 weeks ♦
really sry for double posting dunno what happened 2nd should have been 1st edited.
What is your nick @ boss media If you don't mind saying ? ^^ I used to play there before NL 25-50 SH 5max generally.Also interested in some sweat sessions etc? I think we can do something feel free to contact me in skype - a.petkov (nick: N0pr3s3n7)

I spent alot of time trying to figure out how to organize my life and how to find routines during this "lockdown". Time-management has never been my strong side. I've tried making "to-do" lists, I've made schedules. That hasn't seemed to work out yet.
What I need, is to build up routines. So that after some time, I won't need to ask myself what to do next, but know exactly what I should do next. Try to print this pattern in my head.
Quite surely it will require alarms and lists for starters, but I'm hoping it won't be needed anymore after a while.
Block 1
* wake up
* eat breakfast
* read forums/posted hands
Block 2
* play 1,5-2 hour of poker
Block 3
* take a walk/walk to store for grocerys
* clean up around house if needed
* eat a light lunch
* prepare fruit/snacks
Block 4
* do some freelancework
* if not, watch videos or study poker for 1-2 hours
* prepare fruits/snacks for session
Block 5
* play 1,5-2 hours of poker
Block 6
* take a walk/sit outside for a while
* prepare and eat dinner
* relaxe a bit after dinner
Block 7
* play 1-2 hours of poker depending on lvl of performance
* take a break
* evaluate hands of the day/post hands
I quite like the idea, since I can skip blocks if needed but still maintain my other routines without having to change the whole schedule. I can wake up when I want, I can go to bed when I want, I can play when the fish play. I get to exercise and get some fresh air. Maybe some days I can change my walk to going for a swim. I am free to change around a bit as I want but still have routines. I am really really hoping this is gonna work!
Any feedback/suggestions/critique is welcome!
so far so good... even tho it's not perfect it's working as well as expected
I played a session today, mixed in some NL50 tabs. Didn't really find alot of them and felt I wasn't playing awesome (in fact, was playing weirdly) and I think alot of it is due being nervous/excited about NL50. Just a bunch of emotions that do me no good. So after stacking a reg in a squeezed pot where I hit trips I decided to ditch the NL50 tabs and just stick with NL25 'til I can play with emotions put aside.
Stacks flew left and right today, was slightly tilted aswell I think so I played more aggressively than normal. Anyway, I felt it was about time to end my session when I realized I had a huge fish on my table. Couldn't just leave without stacking him.
10 mins later, i found my golden oppertunity...

My heart stopped beating when I saw the river. Both of them are fish, and I expected draws to be the main part of their range here. BB said in chat he had AQ (and he'd been flaming me for over 10 minutes already because i stacked him for 40bb with TPTK vs TPNK) and I trust him on that. As for CO i dno. Maybe a set aswell or 2p?
Either way, I ended my session afetr this, with an awesome feeling
Nice hand ♦
I understand what you mean about moving to a new level changing your emotions and affecting your play. I've had the same in the past, it's not exactly scared money but more that you won't try certain things that may be marginally +EV because you don't want it not to work. Or at least that's what i've experienced ♦
By the way what site are you playing on?
So I found out some stuff today.
1) I'm tilting a little to easy atm. Maybe because I'm playing so much more then normal? I dno. Sometimes forget to eat too and low bloodsugar+taking shots+running bad = emotional roller coaster.
2) I thought it was hard finding fish at NL50 compared to NL25. This is only true during daytime, during night-time there is plenty of fish to go. Aka, i'm turning into night-animal
3) Despite tilting, I was able to pull myself together and grind back 3 of the 4 buyins I was down at one point tonight. I decided to do so to aviod having to step down to NL25 again.
4) God damn emotions. I really need to watch out. WHY was I born a woman?
thazar was sweating me when I had the sickest badrun today. I felt so so sick on the inside and I kept asking myself why? I don't wanna care. I then sucked out on a shortstacker who shoved KK over my raise and I went all "you had it coming you )/&#"(%)(#&¤#" on him (the shortstacker). At least thazar had something to laugh about.
Just can't seem to get in control. Or well I did, but not until thazar left and I got to think clear and try to calm down.
5) I'm gradually turning more aggro. I watched an aggro player today on NL200 and had some discussions about spots. I kinda like it. But still have problems picking all the right spots and right opponents. Soon soon.
6) Towards the end of today, I felt better about playing NL50 again. It feels more and more safe for every day. But I think I'm gonna play NL25 in day-time and NL50 in primetime. I'm still just taking shots.
7) I write to much when I'm tired. Sorry. Time to go to bed, so I can wake up to a new day tomorrow and come back ready to deal with everything.
Nighteyy!
xoxo

But you just can enjoy the weather, analyze hands, study, grocery shopping, fitness during the day and then play at night right? Or do I miss something because I tend to do it like this as well

Yes I could. But I want some time free inbetween sessions, I need to rest my eyes and just relaxe between sessions to make sure I am rested and think clearly. Early in the day I am the most clear in my head and able to play well. So I prefer getting in at least one session early.
I am however still experimening with it and most of my sessions do get played in the evening.
That's a nidea. Hope you improve A LOT in that time. Probably yes!
Want to do that also after my exams. (in a month X() But my PC crashed 2 days ago.
oh I'm sorry to hear
I hope u will get it sorted in time.
I had some problems too, with my internetprovider. Long story shorty i cancelled my internet for last of June but they cancelled it 2 days ago and if I want it back I'd have to pay for 3 months, so I said **** it. Phoned a different provider who instantly put an order and request to connect my new internet that is more than half as cheap and without having to pay for 3 months.
So hopefully it'll get connected today, worst case scenario it's connected tomorrow I think. I will return home tonight (staying with my family atm) after my meeting and see if it's up or not.
If not, I will just watch pokervids tonight and try to study. Didn't play any poker yesterday at all but I think it did me good with a day off. Hasnt happened for a while
Probably gonna play a bit today before my meeting, and in the next days I rly need to try to grind grind grind. I have played like 8k hands so far and ran pretty bad on NL50 but I need to be 4-tabling pretty much rest of the month which means putting in more hours. Ai ai ai, it will be tough! Esp since I need to move out my appartment at the end of the month which will require some time.
But I'm rdy for it!
