Funk, funk, funk.
Previous 5AA: 1 blinds, 1 + 2BB, 1 ran into another AA, 2 (both heads-up) -12BB.
4 KK: 1 +1.5BB, 3 -15.5 BB
Today have no AA, no KK, but 2 QQ and 2 JJ. Result: lost all 4.
Funniest was JJ < QQ, because I got 4card flush, but guess what queen the Villain had?
What else to say about a session when best payout I got on hand A6, making 2 crying calls on board 964 J 4?
Congratulate me!
I've finished my bonus and perhaps my FR career. Playing Full-Ring on Stars has little difference from 6max, except much less crazy or always-playing users and more boredom. Once in a session on one table suddenly I found following stats - hands 48, VPIP 4, PFR 2. And I had positive balance on it ![]()
So, totally I played~ 7700 hands. Results are overwhelming - in first 600 hands I got +120BB, in next 7000 -30, catching 3 reasonable downswings for -60, -70 and even -95BB. So what's the difference to SH? At least SH gave me best session to remember! Anyway, seems like on FR with reasonable (not fantastic, but still) play you may either hope for upswings or be a rake machine. And this is on limit 0.5/1. On 1/2 and higher it's probably even tougher.
Of course, finishing my bonus I caught last downswing of -63BB. Today I was just curious - will something change? To the praise of PS - nothing! First 5 Ax hands - 0 hits in anything, then couple of small wins, hit one flush and went above 0. Maybe that's a new beginning?
Here is my last positive FR hand:
A3s raised from CO, SB re-raises, BB folds, Hero calls.
Flop 258 SB bets, Hero calls
Turn 4, yes, Hero got IT! SB bets, Hero re-raise, SB call.
River 3.
Check, Check, SB shows AK, Hero won 0.05 BB, Yes, I'm finishing FR in positive mood
Good stuff in poker just cannot last. Hopefully bad stuff mostly has ends too. Before I was abused by PS, but get warmer welcome on FTP. Now situation changes, on PS I finally went into positive territory even taking into consideration my previous SSS collapse.
Now FTP quickly takes the position of 'improving' my sad records. Previous session I got a lot of premiums killed, but at least got 27% W$SD. Today I got 18%, and all 6 of my highest pairs 88, 99, TT, JJ, QQ and QQ were killed in situations of initial good standing. Another 100%.
Though, who knows, maybe now FTP money are close to become Play money, and I cannot withdraw them any way. So at least getting some fun for them
Ouch. Seems like FL on FTP is in state of clinical death - pulse is still ticking, but no breath. Soon probably all FL sharks come to Stars and undress all amateurs, including me
Time to return to NL?
Still playing FL on Stars for reload bonus, and still continue to be the subject to casual abuse. Two previous sessions were positive despite having W$SD at 50.0 and 50.5%. Stars probably treats it as an upswing ![]()
Losing sessions are different. Sometimes you get your top pairs crushed, sometimes you get no support. Today I got lots of support - to lose more.
2 glaring samples: AK Flop K77 lost to A7 and AK Flop Kxx, then Q Q, lost to KQ. When I lose AT < AT (flop Txx, villain caught runner-runner flush) I called it a day with a serious W$SD at 30%.
Let's see if this bonus ends as my first sad one
Funking Stars, amazing ![]()
Collected 2-pair < flush
trips from flop < flush
finally closed gutshot < flush
got only AA < 93 full house.
My flush from flop - got pennies
Arrrrrrrrrrghhhhhh.......................
Funking Stars, amazing, part 2 ![]()
AA < K7s flush - it was my first hand of this interesting session!
AA < 26 full house sixes and jacks
Same guy: AT, A on flop < 65 flush
Same guy AQ, A on board < 72, trips 2
Funk, in few hands really lost AA and two top pairs of Aces to that FL guru with 62, 65 and 72.
Also lost other top pairs: KK < flush and QQ < KK.
And many, many more. And in mere 300 hands. Ouch.
Funny fact: in these 300 hands received 7 pairs 22! And have positive record with them because of one set.
See you soon on NL tables, fixed is dying anyway. Few more of these sessions, and Adios FL
After some positive days, again started playing FL almost exclusively for the rake. For now at least partially I get it back as bonus, but when bonus ends, this play on Stars probably becomes completely ineffective. Doing bonus lost 8 of 12 lat sessions, though financially it's not that tough. What's strange is that I got a bunch of losing sessions showing decent play according to HM. In last 6 losing sessions, I lost 4 having winning percentage (W$SD) > 50%, including 53.3 and 56.9% ![]()
Today I won few good pots with closed gutshots (at the same time I didn't find any closed OESD), and my Aces were killed only once, and even collected few flushes, and still lost a session despite winning percentage at 50.5% How romantic is to be a rake machine.....
Ha-ha-ha ![]()
Despite dropping 3 small pairs on the flop, and watched set card coming on turn, despite again, no OESD closed (and no gutshots today), and having W$SD at 46% - I won 28BB. Low winning percentage - new key to success?
Ouch. Lost last 3 sessions, and 8 of last 12. One more losing session like today, and I become a loser. But even now, when I'm still in plus while playing for PS bonus, my earnings are exactly 11 times (!) smaller than rake. So time to make a resolution - if my winrate will be less that 1BB/100 (now 0.3) at the end of May, I say farewell to FL and its unlimited 'fun'
Ha-ha. Despite being A+ player according to one ratings site, playing FL SH on Stars I remain near-zero bonus grinder. And to prove this continue losing to guys with stats 88/43 or re-raising you with 83o.
Also played again in 100Vpp Saturday tourney. Call it a deja vu or case of mental abuse by PS, but again, yes second time in a row, lost almost all stack in situation AK < AQ, Q on the flop, and sadistic Ace on the river ![]()
And, of course, famous saying - All you need is a chip and a chair - applies to some other guys...
Ok, I decided to end my bonus run 2 days before the end, anyway I won't finish it on Monday and Tuesday, when my playing time is very limited. As I said my goal was not only to play for bonus, but also reach some reasonable (1BB/100) winning rate. I reached it 2 times, but every time was pushed down, though still could finish with win rate 1bb/100. Trust me, with current situation on FL tables, it's a reasonable result. I just check 4 best players, to whom I lost most money on this limit, and stats of all looks like TAG, but 3 of then are in minus territory, and only one has total positive record, but seems stuck on the same level for few past months.
The picture of this run was interesting - a Saw (not horror movie, but close), yes, really looks like /\/\/\/ and only on 4th time it didn't reach 0 mark. No huge upswings, one reasonable downswing for 120BB. and rake 8 time bigger than my tiny profit.
Picture was nice and I decided to attach it here, and before upload it to ImageShack. And almost got my biggest downswing, because suddenly some strange 'anti-virus' program, named XP Anti-Virus 2011, started shouting that my computer is a total disaster. Fortunately I was able to stop and remove it, but some programs failed - including Mozilla Firefox (latest version) and Microsoft Security Essentials, so I won't use them anywhere on my systems again. And let's say Never to these fishy sites ![]()
GUYS, KEEP YOUR MACHINES PROTECTED!
As for FL. I won't fully leave it for now, but switch my major interest to NL BSS. NL10, I'm coming
Hi NL10, bye NL10 ![]()
For the fun I registered on PlayersOnly through PS. Can't say about other sites, but playing NL, even shorthanded there is a total waste of time. When somebody told you about 'fishes' there - just smile. This a sample table at NL10 SH (VPIP/PFR) - 22/20, 18/12, 13/10, 15/13 and 30/27 and me. On NL10
Really. Another tables not much better, at best one guy with stats 70/0, but even he often folds even to contibet. I think poker is dying. People just sit and wait for nuts. Today I got 3 straights from flop, 3! Opps folded on any serious aggression. 2 times opp didn't called a river, and once 2 opps fold to first 1/2 pot bet! In 3 sessions, with all AA/KK, only 1 time I saw a flop, and never the turn. But they caught me twice with da rockets, when I have overpairs to board, but not to aces. Ouch. Boring, boring, boring.
So what's now? Seems like Stars and some PO FL SH again, despite that again Stars put me down for 33BB in mere 200 hands, or 3 times more than I lost during my whole second coming to NL BSS
// really looks like /\/\/\/ and only on 4th time it didn't reach 0 mark.
Yeah, baby, yeah! Now it's /\/\/\/\
Pokerstars, jokerstars...
Today I decided to play again in their Saturday 100FPP battle. At the same time playing 2-3 tables easy FL.
Strangely enough my bankroll starts slowly growing, and even in tourney I had double stack that was below average but still playable. And suddenly, from nowhere I just start being owned. On one table in 15 minutes, I run:
1. Flush into full-house
2. Same guy (55/13): KK into flush,
3. Same guy: TPTK into flush
Ha-ha, I played 33 hands with him on SH table, and never won a dime...
4. Again collected flush into nuts flush.
In 15 minutes on one table.
Ah, forget, same time I was losing p.4, in tourney lost all-in JJ < AT (it was push from UTG, I suspected low pair or such hand), 89T on flop (OESD for me too), and, yes, famous Ace on the river.
I think it's time for a break. Sorry, fellow PS players, won't distribute my money among you for some time
One more room came and gone. Now it's PlayersOnly.
First about good: despite some scary stories, I got money from them next day. Maybe it was because I took less that invest, maybe because of ...
Not good: They didn't give me promised rakeback. Registration with PS code went OK, but despite different ways of conversation they seem not inclined giving it to me. So they probably decide - let's forget about him.
Their soft didn't impress me. Crashed couple of times, and simply not great.
Players - on NL almost all nits/TAGs of different colors. 15 cents here, 15 cents there.
On FL - interesting bunch, I'd call them loose passive extrasensory
All my PO career I had a feeling they see through me. In NL in 3 sessions with all Aces/Kings I never saw a turn. In 3 sessions in FL SH, yes, I saw turn once with them, but never river. But I saw showdown few times with Queens, that's why I have negative record with them. These guys play like 40/10, but interesting style - they either drop on the flop, or collect hand better than yours. So I played around 0, before yesterday's session , when (coincidentally of course) I got a bunch of shitty cards (having stats 5/5 on SH table) or lost almost every hit, because they had better hands. So I decide to leave these guys playing among themselves on very few available FL tables. Good luck!
After some happy times -120BB in 2 sessions. Though after seeing other players losing 500-700BB it seems really small, but it was again enough to drop my winning rate below 1BB/100, just when I started thinking about moving up ![]()
Anyway sharing some interesting stats during this non-epic fail:
3. Got no AA, but lost all KK and QQ who saw flop.
2. But - all 5 AK won, despite never having a hand better than A-high (though never saw river with them). Unfortunately other Ace hands paid in full.
1. Today has K-high flush and A-high 'nuts' (no pair on board) and lose them both to 2 straight flushes in 136 seconds, both times in big and bigger pots. Thanks PokersStars for great cards
OK, I reached the Point, really not reached that 0 point again (very close though), but it doesn't matter anymore. I'm done with poker as hope for a career replacement or additional income. Yeah, I will still play but something like 0.2 or maybe 0,5FL for fun after coupla drinks. Alas, probably I'm a bad player, so thanks PokerStars for moving me in right direction ![]()
Ouch, and never become a Black Black Member ![]()
P.S. I don't close this topic - there are no limits for poker fun, even at 0.02/0.04
After some rest, I loaded some money on Party to play 50cents. Ha-ha-ha. In first 250 hands I got 4 KK, and 2 of then ran into AA
And one I ever won getting 3rd king, though still lost 50%. Also got flush from flop and 2 straights from flop. But never closed any OESD or flush draw. But more important - I'm just having fun playing without cause ![]()
Coolest hand was when I opened with KTo and got called from BB with T8s.
Flop QJss9. Yes we both have straights from flop, but
Turn 7s, closed guys flush, and river 6o gave him really cool hand - 5 card flush and 7 card straight
Congrats to me, I'm the wise man when moved to FL 50Cent, and still JokerStars with small help of PartyPooker got me there! Minus 200BB during session, I never had it like this, that was total beating. OK, maybe I lost 10-20-30BB for fun, but cannot count how many top pairs, 2-pairs, sets and even full-houses were lost in that hot hot night.
Funny fact, once I got 2 flushes from flop on the same table in 2 consecutive hands, both with Q high, and still lost one to Ace high from flop too.
Ok, Ok, maybe 20Cents fit me better
