I don't think anyone can be blamed except the OP.
And certainly what does PokerStrategy.com get out of being involved in such a shame.

Sorry to be blunt but it's silly to assume such a thing.

OP has been replying regularly and updating his situation so If it was me I'd give him some time to regather himself. Purplefizz pretty much summed it.

Goodluck to all and I hope you all get it sorted. I've been owed money in real life over the space of 9months and it does hurt but we just have to roll with the punches.

Regards,

Kyle.

LOL, Kyle I strongly disagree. A pokerstrategy.com moderator VOUCHED for him!?!?

I mean ofc, he could not know this would happen, but c'mon, ps.com moderator shouldn't vouch for someone if he isn't 1000000% sure he is legit.

I haven't bought any stake shares here, but this seems really unfair. If not ps.com at least that moderator should be held partly responsible for that. I don't belive he was saying that you had anything (ps.com) out of it, what he was saying if a ps.com moderator vouches for something like that, he should (or ps.com) be held responsible. Otherwise next time simply don't vouch for ppl you're not sure about.

I am not making any accusations, but this just seem a bit unfair to me. If he returns the stake shares then it's absolutely ok and I withdrew my statement.

If a Moderator Vouched for him then it must of been the situation of a good deal they had between the two when they made a staking between them.

It's not the Moderators fault if the OP decides to go back on his word if that's what is going on here. But all we can do is assume because we don't know the real truth yet. Only time will tell and as said, I hope it works out for all partys.

Hi guys,

I’d like to make clear that I’m in the same situation as you. I bought a percentage of the stacking held by this member, who seems to be being dishonest with us.
The first time I got here, I rated him as a good person because I had negotiated some money with him and it had been fine. Till that moment, he had never been dishonest.
I would never agree with this situation and I wouldn’t let my name and my “job” available because of this ruse.
I would have much more to lose than he, who simply took our money and disappeared! I never thought that he would act this way with us.
I hope he thinks better and come here to explain us what happened.

Thnx for making things clear man, but i think it's a bit late for him to become honest and return our money. Gud lesson for me. The idiot just took my hard earned cash so easily and I really hope that karma does its job now.

Thanks for making things clear, I do feel that he just scammed everybody obviously. But I would strongly advice EVERY PS.com employee to restrain itself from making such vouches, unless you are 1000000% that the guy is legit. Because you must be aware of the fact what your vouch means. When you (as a PS.com moderator) vouched for this guy, everybody was really willing and confident in buying a percentage of a stake...just to lose that money for a guy you presumed honest... Just my thought, nothing offensive meant.

Kind Regards,

Jkob.

Same thoughts as JKOB, i was a bit nervous to stake this guy and wouldn't hv probably done it, but when trestini vouched then i insta-staked the guy and then got really bad news.

I'm sure every PS.com employer knows the responsibility of what our words means to all of you.
If you are going to have that attitude then it's -EV for us to ever make any kind of positive vouch in staking forums because if/when something does go wrong we get looked at for the blame when really it has nothing to do with us.

You all make an agreement with the staker/applicant so it's your responsibility to do the back checks on the person.

It's your money, not ours. If you don't 100% trust something, it's simple. Don't get involved.

Regards,

Kyle.

Lol Kyle I hope you are joking. Do you know what a vouch from a moderator means? Read shehanshah post above yours. I presume 80% of ppl here wouldn't have bought a stake (if you browse through the pages, you will see EVERYONE was sceptic at first and demanded a vouch before they buy a share). And yes, it is -EV for you, but sorry Kyle, it's even more -EV for ppl who bought a part of the stake. I mean, of course it's everyone own responsibility, but c'mon, you can't deny that everyone here was pretty confident in buying the shares from him after STRESTINI vouched for the guy.

And to remind you, it is also YOUR duty to check the guy out, especially before you give any vouces as a representative of the forum (and sorry, if he made 1 succesful "money involved" bussiness with him, it doesn't already mean he is to be vouched for).

And to get things clear, I don't have any negative attitude towards anyone, I'm just being objective and trying to reason my opinion, since I strongly feel you are wrong in saying "hey guys it's your own responsibility, a vouch from our moderator, doesn't mean anything / has no influence / is irrelevant.

I think PS employees should state that when they vouch someone, they do it on behave on their name as PLAYER & not as freelancer of PS. This way it removes confusion that some players know that when freelancers vouch for someone that they have to look beyond the coach/moderator status.

At least that is what I do when I vouch someone

Result in not doing so will result in cases like this which are not beneficial for all parties

Absolutely agreed, didn't even think about that. This is a fine and elegant solution to the problem. Becuase you should be aware what level of respect and how much your word means as a PS.com employee, and therefore it should only be used when you are 100% sure about something...and vouching for such ppl unfortunately isn't.

Kind Regards,

Jkob.

I know many people misinterpret this status and I do not blame them. At the same time I also understand it is quite easy to ''forget'' this from the perspective of us. Most of the times this does not involve money so the damage isn't as lethal as now. It's pretty hard to let >75% of the PS players know this kind of image

Mind you we are freelancers. Not employees with legal contracts/fidelity bonds attached to the company. That is also a thing people misinterpret.

Head-Admins are people who signed contracts, paid fidelity bonds etc.etc. with PokerStrategy

Anyways I'm glad this problem can be prevented next time by simply adding a disclaimer

It is time to get this guys info out on the internet. I will put up a website with all the info I have about this guy outing him as a scammer. If anyone have any more info on him than what was posted in this thread earlier please PM me with it. I have his picture from Skype, but anything bigger would be appreciated. I see that he has removed the picture from his PS profile, so I assume it is in fact a real picture of him.

Also, I totally agree with the discussion about the vouching by ps staff. It was the only reason I joined in on the staking.

Have been able to dig up a lot of info and pictures of this scammer. Could a mod please let me know how much I am allowed to post here.
