What? like 95% of holland can speak english. You can just talk english to people and they won't be surprised or anything.. I've been approached several times already by tourists talking english to me in the past year
But overall i can see why you would feel isolated easily living in holland.. especially in a big city like amsterdam everyone just minds their own damn business. and there really isn't much of a community spirit in holland at all. (not sure how to explain this.. but if you lived in latin country like Dominican Republic you'd probably understand whati mean).
