Cheers guys ♦ Gonna sort my room out a bit today and grind a bit, but then i've got a pub quiz to go to ♦ My Mum also wants me to sign on to Jobseeker's allowance If I do that i'll have become everything I hate, when i moved away to Uni I vowed never to come back and live here ♦ Well that's gone out of the window haha.

But hell, if I can end up taking this whole year out and playing I couldn't care less about sacrifices ♦

Urgh, degree results coming in sometime this afternoon, absolutely shitting it Just started getting really nervous the past few hours and can't think properly about anything else.

Had a short session this morning, was pretty average, made a profit but again had to open some NL10 tables due to NL25 tables being awful. Probably won't be playing again today as right now I couldn't play my A game due to nervousness, and i've got the pub quiz to attend tonight.

EDIT: Big fat fucking "meh". Got a 2:2, I suspect a high 2:2, but a 2:2 nonetheless. Entirely my fault, in 2nd year I did fuck all and just about scraped a pass, and despite working really hard this year it just wasn't enough to drag the average up. Oh well, if it is a high 2:2 as I suspect, I will still be able to get on the Masters I want next year.

Haha just played a $7 HU SnG and ran like God ♦ in the space of 4 hands I first flopped a full house, second flopped the nut straight, third turned the nut flush and lastly picked up QQ. Solid victory ♦

So, it was a pretty decent month overall, I played a shitload of poker, passed my degree, had an awesome birthday among other things. My poker game has really imrpoved thanks to my lockdown time, so I think it's time to push on and own NL50 soon ♦

Whilst my graph isn't so impressive, I am running at 5.6bb/100 at NL25 SH over 26k hands, it's just my shot at NL50 went awfully and one of my sessions at PLO10 SH also went dreadfully ♦ If it wasn't for those 2 and i'd just played NL25 and NL10 i'd be up about $430, but oh well ♦

Not much been going on in poker terms at all the past few days. Wednesday I went out to the pub quiz, Thursday/Friday day time I was ill, and today i've been shattered and am going to watch the boxing tonight, so it would seem tomorrow is the first proper night of poker since I got back. I have played a few hands and HU SnGs and stuff, pretty much exactly breakeven after 2 sessions on NL25/NL10 and up about $15 from HU SnGs ♦

I used my FPPs to buy Amazon vouchers yesterday and purchased myself a new camera for my holiday, bought myself this:

Really thinking about moving some of my roll to a softer site. Just remembered the guy I met at UKIPT who offered to stake me for NL50 on one of the sites he has affiliate links through. Basically he just gives me money, I play and get like 40% rakeback and he takes money from my rake. Other sites are soo much softer.

Also got a small percentage of some MTT grinder who's playing all the big tournies tonight. Hopefully he ships big and I end up a slightly richer man ♦

Argh, why do I run so bad in tourneys? Joined the Storm and Big $11 late tonight, first orbit in the Storm I get it all in preflop with KK aainst AA. Then I double in the Big $11, before losing almost all of it with AK < KJ all in preflop. I build myself back up and then get QQ, flop J58, I cbet, don't have much left on the turn. Turn is A, guy has AJ grrrrrrrr.

Oh well, time to grind some cash I think.

DOn't have a clue what happened at the end of this session just now The session in general was pretty bad, I wasn't running great but even worse, I wasn't playing great either Don't know why, I just couldn't seem to get anything right, i'm going to have to review my session now to see if I was just being a bit results orientated during the session and thinking certain things were bad just because I lost. I guess we'll find out.

Anyway, the session was going pretty badly, but then shit kicked off big time, I doubled up through a well played hand, then ran into the top of Villains range in an AIPF BvB, then I rivered a straight flush against 2 villains who had both flopped a full house :f_o:. During this straight flush hand I was involved in another big pot, which I also won, but I reckon I could have extracted a lot more value had I not been focussing on the other table. Either way, in the last 20 or so hands of my session I won 4BI and ended the session in profit ♦

Now i'm off to review my session before reading some more of Leatherass' book, not that you read this blog Leatherass, but on the off chance you come across it: Good job on the book ♦ Enjoying it so far.

A spot I find myself in quite a bit that i'm still not sure how to approach. Flopping a made hand on a monotone board with a small amount of outs to improve.

Now here obviously the hand almost played itself. But what if it wasn't checked around on the turn? And instead the aggressor carried on betting, do I call a turn bet? And if so how do I approach a river bet? The good thing is I was thinking about all of this on the flop, so it seems i'm getting the hang of planning for the whole hand ♦

I could have led out on the flop couldn't I? But what if I get raised? Do I insta-muck it? Obviously if a spade comes on the turn I have to muck my hand faster than the eyes can see to any aggression ♦ But it's been said on many a video that people don't bluff monotone boards, and also that people like to play suited cards, so with this one could assume if you're facing 3 barrels in a hand starting with a monotone flop then it's quite likely you'll see a flush at the end.

By the way, both villains I have <100 hands on them, CO seems reggy and BU doesn't seem to have any glaring stat errors, but again only 50 hands or so.

Surely you have to play such a vulnerable hand much faster. I'd lead the flop and try to get it in on a blank turn. There's a good chance it'll get checked around if you don't lead out, which is pretty disasterous. As played I'd raise his flop bet. You have a vulnerable made hand. There are loads of overpairs and one spade hands that will call you. And ofc, remember I'm usually wrong, etc, etc, but that's how I'd play it.

I'd just fold pre because of being OOP postflop. Odds are good but it's 45s.. can't even expect to make the best straight that often, not to mention flush.
