I was also wondering if you've been playing much cash/how the games were, I imagine there are more poker players in Vegas than any other time so are the games quite tough?

Better luck next time Wanna share your overall experience at WSOP (organization, people, dynamics, air energy)? Do you feel that your experience playing deep at a big PLO mtt will make you a better player?
GL of last event :)will write a bit about my vegas experience in some days. latest when @ my flight back to europe.
Really good interview TT, good answers. Shame you didn't run better but i'm sure if you make the WSOP or even WSOPE a regular thing you will ship a tournament.
im writing this short review before i'm leaving Las Vegas, heading towards Toronto ...
POKER
MTTs:
PLO 10k$
loved the event. great structure and i felt i have a big edge over the field as long as we are deep. bubbled at the end of day 2 4 places before itm after i lost 4 (!!) times AA** pre AI in the last 2 or 3 blind levels. insane cold run, was rly rly sad. esp after playing for 2 days. had interestig tables, laak, devilfish and durrrr were on my table for many blind levels. laak played way better than i expected. devilfish way tighter. and vs durrrr i hit nuts several times and since he rly bluffs every time he has the opportunity to, i could c/c, c/c, c/rai several times vs him and pick up huge pots. ofc, its great when u hit vs him, cuz he just always fires. but when u dont hit, its incredibly tough to do anything.overall i was very confident playing all those pros.
NLHE SH 10k$
tough field, sick hands, busted out level 12 or so deep co vs bu me KK vs him (drunk online pro who had some shots in the break before) AA. gg
NLHE 5k$
had a pretty solid table, but definitely a softer field than 5k events @ ept. busted QQ vs AK for a pretty sizeable pot fml
NLHE 10k$ aka ME
unfortunately ran cold as antarctica and already busted day 1. busted out JJ vs AK, but the hands before were rly sick. just sad. field
was way softer than most other trnys, soooo many online qualifiers. my table was one of the tougher ones i heard so that in itself was a badbeat.
ppl who know how i busted ept events lately (AA < KK; A5 vs AK on A59) and my online sunday results + my results in shares can imagine that those trnys didnt increase my trny-happiness ev ♦
cold as antarctica in trnys, but im very confident that it all is clearly +ev in the looooooong run. i just dunno if i will play poker for such a long time to make up all that ev hahahha.
also all my shares here in vegas busted, except one last horse in the race. foofighter is still in and i have 20%. g0g0g0 sir, one time ♦
cashgames:
didn't play as much as expected, basically cuz i played many hours in trnys and we had many real life "adventures" scheduled, so there wasn't all that much time ♦
played some sessions PLO 5/10/25 @ RIO and one session 25/50/100 @ Bellagio. sessions at Rio weren't all that juicy, but ofc softer than same stakes online. And i felt i have a big longterm edge over the field so I was fine playing deep (5k) mostly.
at the bellagio game i played with a 10k stack and it was mixed nlhe/plo. in plo i felt super comfortable, i could thinly vbet several times and could play many hands overall. in nlhe tho, i was under a lot of pressure as all three seats to my left were online pros who had like 50k stack each and they basically started many preflop wars. being oop didnt help so i had to play rly rly tight in nlhe which was rly sad and boring.
online:
I didnt play online officially ofc
but in my dreams i had several online sessions and shipped many k. boring holdem sessions - no swings, only up ♦ exciting plo sessions, also up ♦ like a pro!
overall: i dont think any poker game can intimitade me any more. after playing high several times this year (sometimes shared) i rly only focus on max ev decisions, stakes dont matter. ofc, before getting into a game i have to consider brm and everytime im not rolled i sell % to my highstakes friends. eeez game.it also helped me quite a bit i think for my future rl and finance endevaours. money is rly not important. only decsions count. as long as my decisions make sense and are +ev in the long run (maybe without huuuuge mtt variance) the outcome cannot influence me. i believe in my (poker) skills and i know i will pwn in the long run.
VEGAS LIFE
parties:
lol, dunno where to start. usually u need 2-5k to get a solid table in a club. after doing that, u usually have many friends and u just need to "order" girls into your area. money makes everything possible basically. the more u pay, the more u get. i've seen rly great clubs: bigger, better, vegas. we always had great fun. i didnt join all the parties, since i was playing more than many other (cashgame pros who basically came here to party and relax). but i did join some, and they were rly great. cool clubs with indoor areas, outdoor areas, pools, great music, great party ppl overall and rly good athmosphere
nature:
overwhelming. most ppl who come to vegas probably never see things like redrock canyon or mount charleston. we were hiking whole days here and we experienced some rly crazy adventures. i already posted some pics/vids, so u can check them out anyway.
golf:
played two great golf courses. for anybody who likes golfing, vegas offers many opportunities.
shows:
we've seen several shows. best of them all was "O" in the bellagio. i can highly recommend watching it. i know i didnt see all shows out there, there are just toooo many running ♦
people:
the more money u have the better. the more money ppl make with your help, the more friends u have ♦
apart from vegas ppl, i met many friends from europe which was cool. also got to know new faces and all of them were great.
hotels/restaurants:
over the course of my stay, i have seen most high class hotels in vegas. we have also been in many great restaurants and spend a shitload of money there muahahha. if u plan to come to vegas for a +ev trip, u have to play either rly rly high and pwn the games or not live in those hotels, not eat in those restaurants and not go out to those clubs ♦
they will decrease your ev quite a bit
best club probably XS @ encore (although i heard marquee @ cosmo is also great)
best bar imo voodoo lounge outdoor in 52. floor @ rio
best restaurant probably SW @ wynn
overall, it was a great experience. if i had to name one that was best, i wouldnt say joining the high cashgames or mtts, i wouldnt say clubbing action (although, dont get me wrong, it was great ♦) ... i would say hiking @ mount charleston. we picked the toughest routes and climbed the whole mountain like true hiking pros ♦ especially when u live in such a crazy gambling city like vegas, being out in the nature feels like the biggest relief ever. in between those crazy days, i also had some chillout days (esp being @ nature outside vegas) and some moments of wisdom & enlightenment talking to some smart friends and thinking about the big picture. will try my best to implement what i learned in the future!
i actually planned to be in vegas for ten more days, but since i busted the ME so early and i have seen so much here already, i thought about jetsetting a bit more and visiting another city. after new york and vegas, im now going to toronto, canada.
visiting hai for one week. ofc also grinding like pros besides sightseeing (maybe also checking out montreal for one day). i will show him how to crush the nl games (even harder) and maybe he also wants to sweat me a bit when playing plo so he can learn the sickest game on the planet ♦
also gonna be playing a round of golf with my trading coach sam and maybe joining one of his sicko parties ♦
after toronto, i will be in vienna for one day (basically just getting some sleep & grabbing my car) and then fete blanche @ woerthersee is calling on july 22nd
there will be a short update after that party weekend about future plans. stay tuned
Nice summary! Too bad you ran so terrible in the WSOP events.
Give more details about the XS party on 4th of July! Someone here mentioned it was majorly epic. Did you guys hire batmobiles/lambos in vegas like you planned while in NYC?
