I don't really feel like competing with the neighbours though. They're pretty busy with that sort of stuff and if they find im disrupting their business than I may be screwed.

Have you tryed getting other free bankrol offers? I know of at least a couple that are alright to get.

slightly beg to differ on not being able to make an income at micro-stakes. This hugely depends on what you would consider a source of income and many other factors. I'm sure plenty make good enough just playing small-stakes and some at the higher-end of micro-stakes.
If you mean wages needed in countries like the US, UK and so forth then you might be right, otherwise, that's a little tunnel-sighted.

pokers a great game and i find it really fun and entertaining sometimes, however even though i think i have alot of potential to become a great player, realistically i have to realise that i cant make a living just off poker.
for starters you need a fairly large bankroll to start out just to even make the amount of money that would be needed to live off.
secondly what about variance/getting unlucky. i would have to have amazing faith in my ability to play consistently at a high level to put it all on the line like that.
thirdly gambling is addictive and you should never bet what you can't afford to lose and certainly playing like this is very risky and unless your loaded already then its deffo not a good idea.
