Hero ($1,920)

Dealt to Hero T♠ 8♠

Hero raises to $80, calls $40

FLOP ($160) J♦ 8♥ 7♣

checks, Hero bets $80, calls $80

TURN ($320) J♦ 8♥ 7♣ 2♥

RIVER ($640) J♦ 8♥ 7♣ 2♥ T♥

checks, Hero bets $250, raises to $500, Hero folds

One of the first hands. So no real read!

Can I go for thin value or is checkbehind the best play river?

I would check behind the Turn usually, theres not much worse gonna call you and theres not many Outs against you, however he might bluff any missed Gutshot on the River giving you some extra Value for your Hand - so if I don't assume hes a Station I just check the Turn behind.

River he is unlikely to have a worse 2 Pair and theres KJ QJ J3-J6 T7 to call you vs J9 JT 89 79, maybe sth like A9 now and then and some picked up Backdoor Flush. It's actually not that likely he will call J3-J6 on the River so I just go for the easy check behind, also because I can gain fairly good information that way this early in the match.

I think turn bet is OK since he can have so many pair+gutshot hands and a lot of times I would assume Jx is C/Ring flop. I would think my decision would be based on his VPIP in the big blind. If he is calling more than 50 percent of opens then he is going to have a pretty weak range heading onto fourth street. A lot of options, though.

I would think his river bluffing frequency is zero here. He can have a lot of Tx obviously but also don't forget XX of hearts on the flop that turned a flush draw and would obviously never fold.

i definitly agreee on teddy

by betting to much faarcyde u dont have information of the whole card of vilain this mean u stricly playing u card and not trying to see that he really have and not what u guessing he have

on that hand i check the river to induce a bluff and see a showdown and see what vilain is doing on the flop

with that information i lost value on the turn but i m gaining way more by seeing his whole card and see what how he play and the

also if u bet the turn the pot size on the river is huge and u still be in the dark without knowing how vilain plays

conclusion of this u need to focus on how vilain play and not only ur own cards to get the maximun value of the hu game
