I have visited Floripa (an easier way to say it) many times. I know the whole island, and all the beaches.
There is just one thing you can never, EVER do: go down there anytime between December and March. People are on vacation, it is summer and there is carnival... and in Floripa this combination means one thing: disorder.
You take like 3 hours just to be able to leave the island by car, there is not enough water and electricity supply for some parts of the island. It is hell on earth. Too many people everywhere you go too.

No... now looking in retrospect it can be a good idea for you actually. I said all that because I must have gone there like 5 times already and got stuck in the chaos twice, I think. Maybe I'm tired.
I was thinking that for you it can be a good experience in the end. It is a good place and you'll enjoy it. Just relax when you get caught on the traffic madness! ♠_biggrin:
I just think you should avoid getting there before January 5th, because people are ALL going back home between the 3rd and 5th of January, so the chaos is at its peak. After the 5th things get back to normal until carnival, when things get insane once again. So you have a 4 or 5 week window there. ♠_cool:
At some point last week after having sweated some FR players a couple of times I really thought about HOW much easier it actually is grinding out FR. Once upon a time I did play FR aswell. Figured, best way to find out is to try it!
So I opened some FR-tables on Party (NL10) and shipped 5 BI within 500 hands. Couldn't quite get my HUD to work so I thought, if I want to try this seriously I have to have a working HUD and stats etc. So I opened some tables on stars, and shipped another 3 BI.
I've continued to play some FR on stars when I haven't felt fit to play SH. I really really feel like FR takes hardly no effort, and it has to be better to grind FR then not playing at all?!

Most of it is FR, some is SH.
Of course I wouldn't abandon SH for FR completely, SH > FR but I think it's a good way to get in those extra hours of grinding that I otherwise wouldnt be able to get in. Surely SH > FR when it comes to learningcurves and all that, but FR > not playing at all.
Wriggers raised his concerns today about mixing SH and FR, but I don't feel like it should be a problem. As a good player I should be able to adapt to it. I mean so far so good. But what do you guys think? Anyone with experience from mixing it up?
I know TwiceT is capable of mixing it up, but I don't consider myself to be a TwiceT-miniature quite yet

Yea, of course. I'm not arguing against it, nor am I thinking of quitting SH to play FR fulltime. Hmmm. I'll give you an example.
Playing ~2 hours of SH in A-game mode atm is no problem. But any additional playinghours, and I can be sure to play B-game at best. So instead of not playing anymore (because simply, the B-game will turn into C-game because I start spewing and get emotional due the swings) I could just pop open some FR tables and play for an additional 1-3 hours without spewing or tilting much.
In my head, 2 hours SH + 1-3 hours FR > 2 hours SH (+ 1 hour SH B-game) just seems way better.
At least as a temporary solution. Eventually I hope I'll be able to keep up A-game much longer for SH but atm I'm just not there.

Basically I agree with your reasoning, and also, I think that this extra playing time (albeit FR instead SH) improves your concentration, so you'll be able to increase A game playing time in the future. I haven't tried this yet, as I don't feel comfortable playing FR not knowing opening ranges and stuff, but it's really high on my to-do list.
Also, loved the video you did with TT, when's the next one coming?

yeaa, i agree for the most part. Don't know about the difference btw sh/fr on nl25/50 but at least on 100 (for me), it's big.

since hu has higher edge but the $$ isn't rly greater. And i'm not 100% certain that it's that way for sh either. Just because multitabling is tougher when the table size decreases.

1tab vs 1tab this is 100% true.
however hourly is determine by vol x w/r and w/r drop significantly in HU for everytable you add compare to SH.
ofc FR u can play even more tables but i found SH to give me the best hrly thus far and still be playing decent poker
Hum... I found out that I make more money on PLO HU SNGs than playing4 or 6 tables of PLO at the same stakes... I mean, comparing PLO10 with a $10 SNG for example.
I think it is more fun also.

Nice to see some new faces post here too! Yea, I kinda agree with you here. Nice to hear you liked it! Next part should be released... I guess either this week or next. Not entirely sure we'll be recording part III and IV soon aswell.

Carnaval is some time around the end of Feb and beginning of March. I'm not a huge fan so I don't know when it starts at exactly!
I was playing a PLO HU SNG now against an idiot who was about to lose quite a few times during the match but got a lucky run of cards and recovered his stack. PLO HU is like this... you hone your skill, improve every possible stuff in your game until, all of a sudden, you are AI being a 63/37 or 60/40 favorite and win or lose. That's it. All your skill culminates in this moment. You just have to be sure to have the 63% when it is a 63/37 all-in. Simple. ♠_confused:
