update(November 27): i played exclusivly 1/2NL live and have made slightly over 10K since the begining of september.

Is that 112 big blinds per hundred hands? (assuming 12 hours days)
I know I must be donking something, or are live fish that bad? Ofc, I've got to assume some upswing (though know some sweet ass play had to be involved).
Obviously not sustainable winrate long term. In terms of hands, that is probably one hour online.
well obv not sustainable (but neither are alot of the results posted in "your success" part of pokerstrategy). I ran in super god mode and grinded like a degenerate (40 hr total).
Would be interesting to see how you do over a longer sample. Please keep doing it for 2 months and report back to us ♦
i have been playing live poker for a while and tracking my sessions with "numbers". I just hit a sick upswing this weekend. i have had losing sessions live but i havent had a live downswing yet.
I actually played live for the first time a couple days ago, I was super nervous and intimidated at first, especially because I'm used to playing NL25 online, so playing 1/2 was a pretty big step. I played a little too tight at first but about an hour in I got my confidence and played my game.
Ended up about $80 after 3 hours, not bad considering my biggest hand was Set vs Set vs Flush Draw, flop was 3c Jd 9c , I was bet into $18 by guy with 33, I raised to 60 with JJ, guy with about 60 behind went all in, first guy went all in about 100 more to me I insta call, he shows his 33 I show JJ and the other guy shows K4c and makes his flush, still made a good amount on the hand but could have been a lot more.
Definitely a lot of potential in playing live, too bad my closest casino is over an hour away.
Not at all! Just went with some friends, put 200 aside for a fun night and decided I'd rather play poker than anything.
Would be cool to experiment at grinding live with a proper bankroll, hopefully one day.

Yes I only brought 200 with me and no credit or debit card just to make sure ♦.
One thing happened that maybe someone here can clear up, I was in a pot and asked the dealer "could you spread the pot" he replied "No, you have to keep track of the money in it yourself" is this correct I thought you were allowed to ask this? Kinda felt like an idiot.

depends on house rules but usually they have to spread the pot... they can't count it but they have to splay it around so u can see

depends on house rules but usually they have to spread the pot... they can't count it but they have to splay it around so u can see
Yup, but almost all dealers i have asked nicely to spread the pot have done so. This being said u should always keep track on the pot size as u r playing. One dealer who knew me (because i was a reg at that casino) just told me how much was in the pot when i asked her to spread the pot.

Sounds like someone who doesn't want to be tipped. Good excuse for you to never tip him

And there they use £ which is even better. I wish all only rooms would switch currency to £, I think it would be +EV as long the the rake cap stays at the $3 value so about £1.5-£2.
I agree with you that live games are incredibly soft. I was playing yesterday and there were 3-4 regs, 2 average, and 3 fish.
One player asked one of the fish where he was from, and he said "Italy", and immediately looked up at the regs reaction - a vague smile and a brief look down at their chips.
One thing I notice however is that there is quite a lot of soft play between the regs, and they never 3bet each others, they just stay out of the way. I adapted the same strategy and avoided playing against the regs.
Managed to maintain my stack of €250 for about 3 hours until my luck strikes:
I am holding AcJc. Utg (unknown) raises 2.5 bb utg, UTG+1 calls, I call, CU call, BTN call.
Flop: Ks,Qd,8c
Everyone checks.
Turn: 10s
UTG bets €20, utg+1 reraises €60.
So I've turned the nuts, there is back door flush draw on the table. I think for quite a while, as I would hate myself if I managed to lose this pot, so I felt I had to protect my hand from the flush draw and the board pairing it self, and the potential ace on the river for a split. I act for a while, really making it look like I have a hard decision and then push the rest of my stack.
Utg thinks a lot, and mutters something about sick. Utg+1 knows he is in trouble and tells me he has the second nut, the J9. He eventually calls and is drawing dead/split.
The River is a 2h, and I win the pot. Doubling up to ~€570. Then I played one more lap and left (at 1 A.M) and now I'm at work at 9 A.M tired but happy 
What do you think about my play? Retroactively maybe I should have just called and kept UTG in the hand for money?
Anyways, live cash games are easy if there are fish. I avoid the regs and they seem to avoid me, and whenever a fish is playing there is a lot of action.
Some fishy play:
All in pre 75 bbs deep, he showed 66s and lost vs queens.
Call 4 bet with AK, and all in on flop of 9,10,9 rainbow. He loses vs kings.
Super weak river calls, assuming that the regs always bluff the river.
