Ok, so I finished watching Crushing NL50 series for the first time. More times to come for sure. In the last few videos, I find out about some of the more advanced concepts, and I don't think I should use some of them on NL2. Bes thing is that I understand them.
As I said, I want to tell you story, how I won HU match against a friend of my friend (well, he's my friend now too, lol, he looked like a really cool guy). So we decided to play at all, huh?
Spoiler
Well, I took my younger brother to that party too, and as he aware of me, grinding a lot of online poker, he somehow, started to talk about, how "pro" I am, and I won a lot of tournaments with big cash etc.. as a response he said that he won 20k for the first place on some tournament. Lol, everyone was drunk, but somehow we managed to know, that none of us won anything, except of little home games. His friends said that he's really good at it, though.
And at this moment he decides that we need to play heads up. At first, I was like, damn, his friends says he's good, and I'm really drunk. No money were involved, but if i win, I'll have reputation for a good poker player etc. lol, that's that i thinking about drunk. But then i got an idea, about, what if i ask him some really simple poker term.. I didn't really thinked more about it, and asked him, do you know what EV means? He said no, and i insta called.. Uh.. i mean I said let's go play ♠_biggrin:
I have suitcase with chips, so i dealed 2,2k chips to each of use, and blinds were 25/50. So we didn't even had 50BB. But the game had to be short, because drinks were waiting for us, lol. So, the first hand, i got 86o. He completed, and i checked. Flop came, something like A7A. he checked, i checked. turn comes 2, and we both checked again. river comes 6, i have a pair now. And he suddenly bets 500. Pot is 75, he bets 500.
Now, these things were running through my mind: if i won't call now, I'll never know, how he plays, if he capable of such a bluffs, and his OVER bet is nonsenses. And one more thing - i was drunk
So i called, and gues what, he shoves me Q high. lol. So 1/4 of his stack in first hand. When we played two hands, one i raised before flop, he folded, and another one vice versa. When i found Jd8d. I raised he called. Flop comes Q2x two diamonds. He checks, I cbet, he calls.. Turn comes J, so i have a combo draw now. And he bets 500 again, lol. I was thinking a lot on this. But i called. River brings me flush. He now checks, I bet all his money, about 800, and he calls, with pair of 2. So that's the story, lol. That made me very hapy for two reasons - I barely never play heads up, and i can't really remember the last time i played live. And also, i won lol.
Ok, now report.
As i said, i played two sessions yesterday, but nothing today. That's because problems with my computer. It's all fixed now. Also, i downloaded a PokerTracker, it has quite long trial, so I'll be using it instead of the Elephant.
I end up yesterday 2.5 BI down.
So for this month my graph looks like this:
Spoiler

Also, I played only 10 of these 16 days. Well, i might still play today, and probably will, one short session at least, to see how PT looks in use.
And as I am not able to put such a volume as expected, i will decrease my goals. So my goals are:
[ - ]Reach NL5
[ - ]Reach Basic Camp Vip tier at Everest
[ - ]End BSS Basic school
[ - ]Play at least 18k hands
I think I will still be able to reach NL5, if i will fix some of my leaks, see below. I won't for sure reach Gold. Maybe, when I'll be grinding NL5. I already played 8k hands in first half of the month, although, if i would be able to play all 15 days, maybe i could've played something like 12k. But i know too, that school is coming, and i won't be able to grind all day, esspecialy in the last days of this month.
I know that i have a big leak, and it's that i contibet too much. My contibet is 85%. Any advices, on what flops to cbet, and what to not to? Should i cbet against calling station on a flop with no high card?
