Yes, sorry, didn"t mention that in my title but 6max preflop, this is standard i suppose.

The preflop raise is o.k. but you should not call the reraise with AJs.

For pot control....Normally only better hands call you. And worse hands like QQ, JJ could bet the river because you showed weakness. This way you get the maximum out of worse hands and lose the minimum against better hands.
