Hey D.! Thanks a lot for the answer! No worries on the wait! Ive been browsing lobby's and tables! So far i'm enjoying party software a bit more! But the rback diff, rake races and softness of the tables outweights that! I should get started there next monday! I think in the end both would be viable, but i like to go for what's best instead of viable! Thanks again! All the best!

In the past i played succesfully in cashgames, Rush and the odd SnG/MTT on FullTilt before quitting online poker for a while. I am going on a short 2-week vacation and after my return I intend to play some poker again!

Bankroll ~ $1000 / €1000

- No Limit $50 / SnG $20 / MTT $10
- FR mostly
- Playtime ~ 5 hours a week, more when I have a bonus to clear!
- Good rakeback / VIP program
- Good clearable FD bonus

Anyone got a good suggestion?

I used to play in dollars, due to favourable exchange rates. I have no clue as to how the online poker scene is at the moment and don't want to take any risks. So if the €-sites are better.safer in comparison to Pokerstars, i'd go for them!

I used to play 10-20usd sngs at FT before the closure, now I´m still short on bankroll and I´m playing 5.50sngs at Ipoker (Poker 770) I just cleared most of the bonus and am planning to move on to clear some other deposit bonus. Any suggestions?
Need at least decent traffic on sngs up to the lower midstakes, preferably a softer site with rakeback.

Well iPoker has some good First Deposit Bonuses. For a SnG player you can get about 40% rakeback from William Hill and closer to 50% at Titan, both 200% up to a max of $2000.

So from a bankroll building perspective, they are quite good suggestions for you.

I would also suggest trying Betfair on Ongame. They have really good traffic for SnGs and are likely a little bit softer than iPoker. The First Deposit Bonuses are not as good, but you would definitely get a return on the Betfair VIP system as well.

If you are not too worried about traffic (say if you do 1-2 tabling), then I would suggest 888 or PKR, since they are the softest tables. PKR has 30% flat rakeback, but neither site gives many rewards through their VIP systems. Both sites First Deposit Bonus also take a while to clear. So these sites are generally better for low volume and win-rate focused players.

Hope that helps mate :)

Is there a problem if I already have a tracked account on WH, but never made a deposit there? Will they give me the bonus still, or does it expire in some way?
Also, its Ipoker, so they have the same player base as 770, right?

I believe that there are no time restrictions on when you need to deposit in order to get the bonus. So if you use our bonus code, then you will still get the 200% up to $2000.

And yep, WH and Poker770 all share the same player base. :)

Hi there D!
Looked through this post and it seems as WH may be good for me. Lets say I will play limit sh .25/50, .50/1 2 hours a day. Will also play plo10 eventually, 2 tables 2 hours/day. Dont have any fixed playing habits right now, so this is a decent approximation. Have shunned WH before due to bad beats and a software who made me angry (Do u wanna post?=are u stupid (my translation), add pop ups on all tables etc) and bad morning traffic. However, the vip isnt as bad as i thought and i have won some there after all. About the plo I guess competition is soft everywhere on micro?! Im afraid of pokerstrategists :f_biggrin: and think many play there.

Thanks!

I play cash games NL25 at Pokerstars at 1-2 tables 4 hours/day. The most important thing for me is to improve my game, but I think that Pokerstars tables are very tough. Any opinion?

1--> SNGs Turbo or Super Turbo! DUs Preferable!
2--> 5$ Super Turbo 10$ - 20$ Turbos!
3--> Short Handed! Full handed Don't Mind, but want it to be over fast! Going for rake bby!
4--> I'm a Psycho 10H - 12H A DAY 6 days or 7 days a week! or even more if possible! 24 Tabling! Last month i tried to grind, i generated 8,000$ Rake, but it was a failure! Got lazy at the end!

So Yes, I'm looking for a website where i can play 24 tables at SNGs, would prefer DUs, where i can get good rakeback "obviously the main reason", it has to be tracked and count towards the 250 ranking leaderboard! And a good initial deposit Bonus!

Titan Poker looked like it was the perfect one! But betfair looks interesting too.. I don't know someone help me with this, since i have to decide QUICK! This will be for the month of NOvember! And i plan on raking 10,000$ ! 7 to 10 thousand SNGs! GO GO !

In the meanwhile, il make sure i have enough REDBULLS, MONSTERS AND ALL THE SNACKS POSSIBLE! And hope i Profit at least 4 Grand "With Deposit Bonus shouldnt be a problem!" ! :f_biggrin:

Starting Bank! 2,000$ Deposit! And a good 10,000$ Back Up on Neteller! Just in case! Last month lost 2,000$ but got around 4,000$ on rakeback! So that's why i say this... Even if you lose on the tables you can still Profit, and sometimes need to make that extra deposit! To reach let's say a package worth some amount of points to get better deal for points generated! For example William Hill, Titan Poker etc! Don't want to fall short just a few points and get -5% rakeback on the whole month just for no reaching that stupid amount left!

1) NL2, looking to play MTT's on some days and PLO in the future.

2) NL2 atm, bankroll building.

3) Shorthanded with future aspirations for HU play.

4) About 10 hours a week - 9 tabling NL2 atm because I don't need to think!

Other things - I'm playing on stars atm and I'm trying to build a bankroll from $50 atm. I hear a lot of reports about the toughness of stars which worries me in the future, however nowhere really offers a great deal of MTT's/PLO tables like they do. I think i'm probably thinking a little too longterm atm!

Thanks!

J

Hey Zero,

Yeah PLO is soft everywhere pretty much, not just at the micros either. Whilst the general concept of poker remains the same across different game types, it is pretty common for good mid-high stakes NL players to drift over to PLO and then get pwned ;)

WH is a good all round choice in terms of the VIP system, the traffic and softness of the tables. Good alternatives to WH are PKR and 888 for Micros players though. The reason being that the tables are even softer, the traffic is enough to support up to 8 tables at most times of the day and PKR give 30% flat rakeback to all players, which is more than you could expect to get through most VIP systems. They do have high rake however.

So, depending on your play style (if you grind lots of tables, then go for WH) if you play few tables then I suggest 888 or PKR as your win-rate will be higher here than at an iPoker room.

Hope this is useful buddy!

Hey Fotakis,

Stars are the toughest tables anywhere at any limit. 100% guarantee that.

For players who are only playing a small number of tables I recommend 888 or PKR because you are not really focusing on rakeback and large volume, you are looking at your ROI in bbs per 100 (or should be ;))

For improving your game, you need to play against both good and bad competition. Firstly you need to be able to instinctively recognise good plays in various spots and identify regs. Secondly you need to be able to recognise bad plays by fish and how you can exploit them. Personally I think that PKR is a good site for this because you have a good ratio of regs:fish and because you can't use a HUD without a custom mod (meaning 90% of players there wont have it). Imo HEM is a great tool, but if you can build your experience of not using it and on improving your game without it, then when you go to a room that does support it, then it gives that much more added value because you have the basics already in place to complement it.

So I would say go for PKR. The rake is pretty high, but you get 30% flat rakeback, the competition is really soft and you can easily get 2 tables at any time of the day. Try not to hate the software to much, since once you get past it, it can be quite lucrative playing there :)

Lol you crazy man!

Ok, Betfair is the premiere place to go for SnGs currently. Ongame has some of the strongest traffic to be found anywhere for SnGs outside of Stars, their VIP system is very beneficial to SnG players (much more so than Cash Game currently, though ofc this could change). They also have a good first deposit bonus which when combined with the VIP system is going to add up to some seriously good rakeback in that first month.

An added benefit here is that you will definitely cash in the Ongame Points race, meaning you will get maybe another 5-10% rakeback from our exclusive promotion. It does also count towards the Top250 rake race we run, which I would expect you to cash in.

An alternative is Titan/WH. Imo WH have the better VIP system, but Titan have the superior FDB. So depending on time frames, I would say go with Titan if you want to just do this for a month or two, or go with WH if you want to do this over the longer term.

One of the benefits of WH is that it is a 5 SP room, so you would rank higher in the top250 rake race and get more money from that. Titan also counts, but it isnt a 5SP room. The traffic for SnGs at iPoker isnt as good as Ongame, so I might be concerned that you wouldnt be able to get those 24 tables at all times.

So I leave you with a choice; Betfair has solid traffic, a good VIP system and FDB, plus the Ongame points race and the top250. WH or Titan have some of the best VIP systems and FDB available and count towards the top250 as well, but the traffic may not sustain your crazy level of activity.

So overall I would say Betfair for the most added value, but WH and Titan are also viable.

Hope that is useful mate!

Hey J,

Definitely not a problem thinking long term mate! Stars is the toughest tables yes, but it can be beneficial to have started there, because you will find other rooms much softer and the fish easier to exploit.

You have quite a few options in front of you tbh. At these limits you can find tables day and night at any iPoker room (WH/Titan), 888, PKR, Everest, Party and even Ongame.

For overall best value I am leaning towards 888. Since you are bankroll building then you want to focus on ROI and win-rate, which is best boosted by really soft tables and a rake structure which doesnt penalise tight play (say like essence ;))

888 has clean and crisp software which will easily support 9 tables. The traffic is consistently growing and you wont have any problems finding a table or 9 as the case may be. The VIP system and rakeback suck, but at the micro limits, you should worry about it because win-rate > rakeback every time.

Their FDB isnt too bad either and the tables are very soft, so I think that 888 would be my recommendation for you.

Let me know if I can help any further :)

The combination of your requirements makes me think WH. For your level of rake per month, they will give you a fair rakeback return via their VIP system, plus their FDB is as good as most of the others out there for cash game (which sadly isnt as good as for SnGs, but that is universal at the moment!).

They have very good traffic, so you won't struggle to find a table.

As a general rule though, I try to encourage players to look at win-rate above rakeback at the lower limits, simply because it works out as significantly more profitable. If you were playing NL50 or above, then it would start to change my perspective, but anything below that I find it is better to increase win-rate above and beyond rakeback hunting.

So yep, I would recommend WH based on yrou requirements. They have a good VIP system and FDB, they support HEM, have strong traffic and softer tables than Stars.

Hope that is useful fella!
