What I don't understand (don't get me wrong, just wondering), what do you really win doing this? I mean, instead of playing your limits you are playing lower limits so it's like you are losing the opportunity to win some extra money, innit?
I would do it if I win the same somehow of playing my limits (prop bets maybe?) but just to "beat it"... Wouldn't be enough for me at least ♦!

Soooo much subscribed!! Great job mate!! As patszerdonk said.. could you give us some first tips on taking notes and observe our opponents in order to start using them in our game??
I think it is great to learn from an already established player how we should process and gain the information we need and how our level of thinking should evolve as we move up through limits.

Excellent idea Paddy, lots of people will learn from this me definately being one of them. I have thought for a long time now that my inability to make useful notes is my biggest leak so hopefully this will help turn my game around.

Didn't play at all yesterday as went out for dinner with gf and then played Sunday Warm up and chilled grinding Football Manager <3
It may be hard to put in super lots of volume as I'm only 4 tabling, but hand on in there guys and I'm positive will be a success.
Mentality
One of the reasons why I will (hopefully) maintain a very impressive bb/100 is because of the strong mentality I have. I know I can beat these games playing my c or d game, but if I let myself get tilted and believe that I am always playing my A* game trying to be super fancy and Phil Ivey then it will definitely decrease my win rate.
It is very easy to lose focus/discipline when playing limits that you think or know that you can beat. The lucky donkey rivered 2 pair to my AA in a 3bet pot? :@ I'll show him, he's just opened UTG? I'm going to 3bet my KJo because I have blockers and barrel 3 streets shoving the river. Error. Playing less tables INCREASES the chance for a player who values himself too highly to tilt, and believe me every single poker player including myself values themselves too highly.
There is literally very very little players in the world who don't believe they are a good reg at the games they are playing. However it is semi important to have an ego, playing with confidence is brilliant but controlling that confidence is critical to ensuring you maintain a positive bb/100.
It would and can be very easy for me to spew off the early 10bi upswing that I've had here, if I lose KK to a2o aipf against a LAG then I could 5b shove 88 btn v sb and tilt another buy in off where I would have perhaps done something different if I had won the "flip" earlier.
For this reason for this challenge specifically I am going to give myself a 3bi stop loss and if I can stick to this like a pro (hai twicet on the mic) then it could be a hugely beneficial factor for my long term poker success.
Remember, don't ever say after a hand, "sigh, standard" every hand is different, don't let yourself fall into the trap of losing pots and putting it down to either variance or bad play by your opponents. Focus, analyse and improve
